I know some people are confused about the music this season but idk I think getting fingered in a cab on the way home from a night out to a Pitbull song is relatable in any era

Hello Victor, i have one question for you.
As someone studying language and literature, I've been told by many that my area of study is useless, simple, and less complex as compared to those involved with science, physics, or math. I have the highest respect for those involved in these STEM studies, but I'm often discouraged and find myself doubting my intelligence because of these comments. As someone who is involved in the "opposite side" of my studies, what are your thoughts? Many thanks.
Tell me, what is discovery without a means of communication? What is progress without purpose?
Language and literature are not simple, nor are they useless. Science may explain the world, but words shape our interpretation of that world… write our histories, define our cultures, change our thoughts and opinions. Science and literature both require great insight and creativity to uncover and deftly wield universal truths.
Intelligence is not only comprised of equations and experiments, but also of the ability to interpret, convey, and inspire. Many scientists direly lack these skills.
Perhaps those who regard your field as lesser ought to read more books.
