Can you make like a little color picking tutorial, my drawings always look so out of place when i color them >.<
Okay so this is probably not the best coloring tutorial and I’m sorry ahead of time because I’m not the best at explaining colors nor am I any expert lol. I don’t actually use color palettes but I highly recommend them, esp to keep a whole artwork consistent with color schemes. You can easily just google “aesthetic color palettes” or “90′s anime color palettes” which is my go to types of colors heh.
Anyway, I made an explanation/tutorial on how I usually achieve the colors on my art. There are plenty of other ways but this is some basics on filtering.
And after that, if I’m not satisfied with the colors I just go to Filter -> and adjust the Hue of the opacity or the multiply layer.
Once I’m satisfied, I just merge all the layers and clean the art up, sometimes I add even more colors and blend them. (This probably deserves an explanation on it’s own but I wouldn’t mind explaining how I paint! ><)
And here’s somewhat of the finished art lol;;; (sweats)

I want to introduce all of you to this amazing place called the ukhairdressers style gallery.
It’s basically a massive database full of high-quality images of different hairstyles. I mean, look at all the options in that sidebar (and part of it’s cut off):
In total they have 976 pages of hairstyles with about 17 styles each, that’s about 16592 hairstyles to look at.
Look at all the stuff they’ve got! Long hair:
Short hair:
Straight hair:
Curly hair:
Afro hair:
Men’s hair:
Hair on older models:
Extra-fancy hair:
Even crazy avant-garde hair:
So if you need help with designing a character or you just want to practice drawing hair, this is a fantastic resource.
Hey friends!
Meg here for today’s TUTOR TUES-WEEK! Today we’re taking a look at eyebrows/eyebrow placement! I’ve covered more about expressions here! If you have any tutorials you’d like to see send ‘em in here or my personal! Have fun, keep practicing, and I’ll see you soon!
Can you help me out with drawing feet from different perspectives? I cant even with feet, thank you!
oh dang feet are one of my weaker points so this will be brief.
first i start out with the main shape of the foot (simplify it into a wedge or triangle just to maintain proportions) note: toes are weird
and then start filling in the finer details. At this point, its up to the drawing gods to decide your fate idk just a;sldkfjAKDLFJS
*sweats* and there ya go
Anonymous said: Thanks for your tutorials, they are so simple to understand even for someone quite dumb about arts (me)! If you’ll have time and mood, can you, please, create tutorial for making lineart. I’m fairy bad at that.
Thank you! That’s really great to hear that! :D If you browse my gallery you’ll notice that lineart isn’t something I use often (so that’s why I digged in my old drawings a bit to get some examples u_u) Anyway, I think there are more competent and skillful people out there whom you can ask about it but this is what I do. Just study other artists’ art, it’s helpful. Try to use different brushes and see what works best. Also things I think are important: ⁎ use bigger canvas (mistakes are less visible) ⁎ don’t use smal brushes with smooth but very defined edges because the lines will seem very jerky and ragged ⁎ vary thickness of your lines to make everything more dynamic but try to make it natural (it’s a little bit like calligraphy) ⁎ practice! lines will be smooth and flowy if you make your hand confident: - draw traditionaly - excercise with drawing straight lines and curves - make quick, long strokes instead of drawing short lines (they’ll look sketchy) or doing painfully precise, slow moves - don’t zoom in too much - turn off the stabiliser (at least sometimes)) (Aaaand… you can always use vector drawing tools as a last resort :))
Anonymous said: Your art is so natural and expressive, I love it! I was wondering how you go about cuddles?? Or just fitting two people together so it’s not awkward or stiff looking, it’s something I’ve struggled with but look to your art to see how you solve it. I was wondering about your thought process when organizing a drawing like that (I hope the English is okay!)
Thanks! ^^ When I read your first question I thought you’re asking about real cuddles :’) Anyway, this is how I go about it, sometimes I alredy have a pose in mind, but then it’s just trying until I get it right. Sometimes I use references. But this technique is really relaxing, I love to draw this way :D Hope it helps!
