Be careful taking a trip to the National Park of American Samoa. You might not want to come back. With 9,000 acres spread across the islands of Tutuila, Ofu and Ta‘ū, it’s the only national park south of the equator. 1 lb ground beef or cut up roast 2 c beef broth (canned or bullion cubes) 8 oz tomato sauce 3-4 potatoes (diced) 3-4 carrots (chopped) 1 stalk celery (chopped) 1 small onion (chopped) 1-2 cups cabbage (chopped) 1 can corn with juice 1 can green beans with juice 1/2 tsp garlic 1/2 tsp basil 1/4 tsp dry mustard 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp thyme 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 2 bay leaves (remove before serving)        :: cook in crockpot or on low heat as long as possible for best flavor

Are so-called 'lite' foods for neurotic gym rats who are terrified of gaining weight, and for fat people who are compulsive over-eaters and who mistakenly think that if they eat the 'lite' version of something, it'll help them not to?

of course, but i think the real reason for lite foods is that big agriculture cartel simply wants to give us less food for more money....health foods are in this category, as well...ever go into a whole foods store and notice how expensive everything is? i once bought a can of baked beans at such a store and they sucked...heinz beans were much better at a fraction of the price.
