In many cultures, ethnic groups, and nations around the world, hair is considered a source of power and prestige. African people brought these traditions and beliefs to the Americas and passed them down through the generations.
In my mother’s family (Black Americans from rural South Carolina) the women don’t cut their hair off unless absolutely necessary (i.e damage or routine trimming). Long hair is considered a symbol of beauty and power; my mother often told me that our hair holds our strength and power. Though my mother’s family has been American born for several generations, it is fascinating to see the beliefs and traditions of our African ancestors passed down. We are emotionally and spiritually attached to our hair, cutting it only with the knowledge that we are starting completely clean and removing stagnant energy.
Couple this with the forced removal and covering of our hair from the times of slavery and onward, and you can see why so many Black women and men alike take such pride and care in their natural hair and love to adorn our heads with wigs, weaves, braids, twists, accessories, and sharp designs.
Hair is not just hair in African diaspora cultures, and this is why the appropriation and stigma surrounding our hair is so harmful.
They praised Cuties
They stayed silent on Weinstein for decades
They hung around with Epstein
They defended Polanski
They ignored Balenciaga
But they actively attack sound of freedom because the film based on a true story “supports dangerous conspiracies”
Hollywood is doing a real good fucking job at disproving the conspiracies
i wasnt crying until i remembered the stages of the dandelion…
every reblog to this post is a prayer for moonbin’s sister. a consoling hug to his mother and father. a blowing of a dandelion into the hearts, minds and souls of aroha, rocky, sanha, jinjin, eunwoo, mj, the poor fucking manager that had to deal with the terror of finding moonbin dead in his home.
moonbin, i hope with every fiber of myself, my heart, soul and being that your every breath in whatever new chapter, whichever foreign new world you’ve just stepped into is free of worry. i hope that you never have to cry again, that throughout your every moment wherever you are now, your heart is unburdened by the darkness of pain, sadness and sorrow.
goodbye my angel- may the stars birthed by the dandelions breathe you a breath of freedom in every moment you shine in the sky.
all our love goes to you, our prince…

A PALESTINIAN FAMILY NEEDS OUR HELP!!!
Hi guys, I want to use my account to spread the word about a lovely Palestinan woman who is trapped in Gaza and needs our donations to help get herself and her family out to safety. As we are already aware, Israel has begun the ground invasion of Rafah and we need to desperately work towards getting these innocent Gazan civilians out of Gaza.
Dana reached out to me via TikTok to spread the message to help her and her family evacuate. This is her brothers fundraiser they need to reach €40,000 to evacuate the entire family, currently they only have €1,200 so we desperately need to share the message and get more people donating.
Even the price of a coffee will help them out, if you cannot donate please try to share this, make a post on whatever accounts you have, make some noise and help the people of Gaza be free from all atrocity’s.
🚨🚨THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME‼️
My little niece is two years old and suddenly pimples appeared on her body. Unfortunately, there is no health care, no medical center, and no hospitals. I lost a number of family members in the bombing of our house in Gaza, and I cannot bear to lose more. I am tired of posting a lot without benefit. Our children are exposed to health problems every day. I need ur support. Any amount will make a difference in protecting her

Felt that it’s important to share videos like this too.
im actually so sick of the “pick me” frenzy bc y’all will literally call anyone and everyone a pick me, especially if it’s a girl and it sucks even more when it comes from girls calling other girls “pick me” over minor things because it really shows how fucked up society is from internalised misogyny and it’s so fucking annoying. if you tell someone you don’t have friends, ur a “pick me”. if you tell someone you don’t drink or do drugs, ur a “pick me”. if you tell someone you don’t plan on having sex before marriage, ur a “pick me”. if you tell someone you’d rather spend quality time hiking instead of clubbing, they will joke and say “did he pick you yet?” what is it with this generation and shaming people just because they’re living their life in a way you don’t? i will admit it was funny at first but nowadays “pick me” literally has no meaning other than being used as an insult for girls who don’t want to get drunk and sleep around. you can go clubbing and drinking if you want. you can have hookups and friendships and relationships if you want. just don’t shame the ones who don’t because there is literally no reason for you to do so. when someone tells you something about themselves, just accept that the only thing they are doing is telling you something about themselves. they most likely have zero intention of trying to shame you or make you feel bad for living differently in the way you do when you call them a “pick me”. because when you say you wanna get to know someone but call them a “pick me” as soon they tell you they live in a way that doesn’t exactly align with your own hobbies, interests and ethics, it really does show who the insecure one is and who is simply trying to be themselves. so for the love of god just stop with the “pick me” this and “pick me” that and just let people be.
There is a very real Satanic agenda, which has perverted all aspects of our society.
There are those who can see it, and those who deny that it's happening.
But, denial does not cancel out the truth.
