Society problems -

Agar ladki ho toh she's brown, chubby, Minnie, zero figure But Agar Ladka Ho toh he's Kaluua, Mota, Chotu, Patli Haddi etc etc, Sadly but we boys face this too And lastly because of some people we all men are targeted,

random thoughts: i’m such a hopeless romantic and lover girl to the core. but i’m also a logical realist and it saddens me to see all these so called perfect marriages fall apart. it’s crazy how you can pour your all into someone and think you can finally let your guard down, just for that person to turn around and dog you out. obviously some marriages last forever and are genuinely healthy, but most of these “happy couples” are putting up a front. this shit is not a disney fairy tale but i WISH it was.

imagine carrying someone’s big head ass baby for nine months just for them to cheat on you

imagine sharing the most vulnerable parts of yourself just to have it be thrown in your face later

imagine being intimate with someone just for them go on and do that with someone else or multiple other people

maybe you don’t even have to imagine and some or all of these things have happened to you. idk what the point of this post was but as someone who likes to observe and study people, i’ve seen a lot of bullshit in my time. as much as i’m ready for my fairy tale love story, i also don’t want anything to do with this fuckery. i’m gonna be single and child free until i find someone who can treat me better than i can treat me, which is going to be difficult 😊

A Cape Town women’s group is using coded text messages to help victims of gender-based violence and abuse get out of harm’s way

She also runs a lockdown feeding scheme mainly serving women, who line up to get a meal for their family. Here, new words are conveyed, check-ins are conducted and it’s also a way to get women to safety. Since the lockdown began, Peters has been responsible for making sure four women have been moved to a place of safety.

“It’s the women who come and collect food for their families, or would have fed their children at night, so would come to get something for themselves in the morning. This would be our opportunity to take them to shelters,” she says.

Using coded phone messages to reach out for help is not new. In November 2019, an American woman in Ohio called the 911 emergency number to order a pizza; it was her call for help after an attack inside her home.

Since the onset of the lockdown, support groups and NGOs have noted an increase in gender-based violence. Police Minister Bheki Cele announced that in the first five days of the lockdown, between March 27 and March 31, about 2300 complaints had been received by the national gender-violence hotline. Of those, 148 suspects were charged.

“The violence moved inside the home. But it’s so difficult with people having to decide whether to buy data for their cellphone or a loaf of bread. And of course, a mother is going to choose a loaf of bread,” says Peters
