So the point here is that Nikolai thought he'd be free of wanting once Fyodor died, but now that he's dead, he realizes he wants more than ever. Whether he dies or not, he won't be free of wanting and feeling and loving.

The crucial thing to understand about nene kusanagi is that she *is* incredibly strange and weird (taking notes on how to keep a conversation going) (“wow this is just like an open world rpg” in response to seeing nature) (has a lethal robot she operates like a fighting game character) but she’s constantly surrounded by insane people (rest of wxs) and she’s a professional hater with an unhealthy fear of public embarrassment at the hands of her insane friends so she comes off as normal in comparison. She’s the straight man in the wxs dynamic only because 1) rui/tsukasa/emu out weird her by simply existing 2) her hater energy compels her to make fun of tsukasa every chance she gets
