⩩ SCARAMOUCHE.

Fights with Scaramouche, unfortunately, are not rare. Most of the time it's his fault, and he's never able to take the first step to reconcile you, he doesn't even feel that he has to apologize for anything. But there you were hours —sometimes minutes— later, because you hate being in bad terms with him.

But this time, it was different. You were tired of always going after him, enduring a guilt that never belonged to you. Today, you were going to go out for a walk to clear your mind, and if you saw it necessary, you would return home in a couple of days or three.

Worst of all, is that when you walked out the door, he didn't stop you.

“Scara...” you called his name, hoping that by some chance he would listen to you. Little did you know that he was hiding behind the wall of a building, and it was bold for you to just think that he was going to answer your call after two days without showing up at home.

“Scara... Please.” You repeated, but nothing different happened. The boy leaned his back against that wall, and bent his head in exasperation, hitting it lightly against the hard surface. Maybe he missed you a little bit, maybe... he was having a hard time ignoring you.

You were terrified, and you didn't dare call him again. It was so dark that you couldn't see much around you, and your eyes were starting to form tears without knowing how to get out of that situation. Your legs didn't respond, you weren't able to run away from there. Here is when you think, “why am I so weak? How do I expect Scaramouche to go after me with how ridiculous I'm acting? Wake up, y/n.”

Well, let me tell you that since you left, Scaramouche has always been there to see you and make sure you were okay. You couldn't see him, but he was there. Every. single. time.

Suddenly, that animal jumped in front of you, the only thing you could see is a shadow, and with a scream of terror you kneeled, with your arms covering your head defensively.

Scaramouche felt his heart stop beating, and all blood in his veins suddenly running cold all over his body.

“Y/n!” he yelled, coming out of his hiding place, running towards you like never before.

The scene before his eyes soothed him enormously, but he couldn't help but let out an indignant snort.

“What do you think you were doing? How do you happen to walk alone at night in this place? Idio-!” he started scolding you, but was interrupted by your shaky voice.

“Scaramouche... I'm so glad you're here...” you relaxed your arms again, raising your tearful gaze to him. You didn't know if you were sorry, or relieved. Maybe both at the same time. For Scara, the answer was simple. He was relieved and eternally grateful nothing serious happened to you.

Your voice caused the fatui to come to himself, leaving his reprimand and kneeling in front of you, wrapping his arms around you in a protective hug.

“Why are you giving me these scares, dear? Come on, let's go home, that's where we should be. Together...” his voice had softened in a way that even seemed strange to you, but a small smile appeared in your lips. You really liked that new protective side of him. “Are you listening to me? And don't you dare to leave home again. If something happens to you, I...” not even he wanted to think about it. “tsk, forget it. I love you. Don't leave my side ever again. It's... it's an order!”

⩩ KAZUHA.

It's not very common to argue with Kazuha, and if you do, you are both very understandable and quickly return to be as if nothing had happened.

This time, you felt that something in you had finally clicked, you couldn't even see the boy's face, and you left your house to take a walk that would make you come back to yourself. The night breeze is your favorite, you felt like it wouldn't take long to get back to him.

You were already close to home when it all happened.

“Kazuha...” you whispered, hoping he would hear you. You know he's listening to you, Kazuha's hearing is very sharp. The mentioned boy didn't arrive, tho. He was upset by your previous attitude. On bad terms and leaving home? Don't expect him to go after you now.

“Kazuha...” you repeated, meeting the same silence as before.

Your scream of terror got Kazuha out of the house in less than a second. His eyes desperately searching for your figure in the dark.

As soon as he found you, he made his way to you, picking you up off the ground. Your trembling arms wrapped around the boy's body, which took a few seconds to react.

“I… I am sorry… I am so sorry…” the poor boy was breathless from the fear at the thought that something bad had happened to you. “I love you, please, I beg you to forgive me...”

He was so lost. What'd he have done without you? You've never seen him so preoccupied before, and you comforted him when you snuggled closer to him. “Everything is fine now. Thanks for coming... I got scared...”

“Let's go... let's go back and get some rest, alright?” Kazuha was berating himself internally. He needed to be in calm to take care of you properly, but his heart kept beating fast. Like a mantra, all the way back he whispered inaudibly “Everything is fine. Y/n is fine.”

⩩ THOMA.

When you slammed the door behind you when you left the house, Thoma's heart sank, seeing how you left after the argument and not knowing when your return would be, the only thing he could do was wait for you. After all, you didn't want to see his face, did you?

“Thoma.” You called his name, but no one answered. He had listened to you, but felt that perhaps you needed more time alone. The last thing Thoma wanted was for you to see him and remember once more the reason for your anger.

“Thoma...” nothing.

Nothing until that shadow jumped in front of you, causing a scream of terror to come out from the depths of your throat, falling to the ground waiting for a blow, an attack that would finish you off.

None of it came, instead, warm and soft hands pressed lightly on the back of your head, and you had no doubt that this was Thoma. “There, love... it's all over. Fear nothing, I am here.”

His voice was like a lullaby as your head rested on his chest, trying to calm you down and make all your fear disappear as quickly as it had appeared. “Thoma is here with you, my love. And he's never going to leave you alone again. I promise.”

He closed his greenish eyes, sighing quietly as he felt you so close to him again. “Thoma... I'm sorry I left, it was wrong...”

“Hush, hush now, if that's what you wanted to do, I wasn't going to stop you. I just want you to know that I love you, and no matter what you do, I'll be there for you.” Pulling you apart slightly to see your eyes, he gave you a tender smile. “Now we are going back. Ah! And take my jacket, it's a bit cold at this time of night.”

You smiled, your gaze trained on the palms of your hands. He knew you were lifting your mask to your face, so the way your eyes don't crinkle at the edges made him uneasy. Your indefinite Silence only made it worse. 

His eyes caught the sight of tears falling onto your hands, followed by your shoulders quivering. He caressed your jaw to guide your gaze to him, and the sight broke him. Tears welled at the seams, trying their best to stay put but failing, the same concerning smile on your face. "What's wrong?" his voice soft as his touch. "I'm scared I'll lose you" you confessed, your hands trembling at the thought. 

"Oh Y/n, don't say that. You don't have to worry about that", he wiped your tears with his thumb and brushed the strands of hair off your face. "I'll always be here" he smiled

It was all crashing onto you that you lost so much throughout your life and the thought of losing someone that inspired you to keep going terrified you. But seeing his smile grounded you, fate can be merciless at times but if he's with you smiling then perhaps things will be okay 

You felt him pull you into his embrace, the cozy warmth he radiated soothed the pain. And tears sprung out at the love he showered you with, while his words only seemed to further bring you at ease.

- cannot stop buying couple items for the two of you. has no self control. his online cart is full of them, he is obsessed and is not ashamed. matching hoodies and t-shirts and keychains and slippers and everything. will show up at your apartment with a few packages and you’re just like ://///, but ofc you wear them with him anyway

- has all the fast food apps. if u wanna order takeout he’s your man. he has so many rewards and points that it’s basically a free meal.

diluc

- cannot let go of his “no-i-dont-care-im-so-chill-guy” aesthetic. says he doesn’t care what your phone wallpaper is but he CARES. he DOES. he cares so much. kaeya changed it to a picture of his face to fuck with his brother and diluc was so bitter lol, demands that you change it to a picture of the two of you, and you happily agree

- always waits for you after class, esp if it’s a night class. leans against the wall of your building giving people a hard stare if they look at him for too long LMAO

xiao

- does not care what other people think about your relationship at all. i see him as kind of a popular guy on campus just because he’s so good-looking (yes, i am in love with him, what about it). tends to be quite blunt, so if people try to flirt with him he will just stone face them and be like “:| no, you are not my s/o, please go away”

- stays in his apartment most of the time, and will leave the decor to you. you take him to ikea one day after you claim his apartment is too empty, and he just pushes the cart and nods blankly every time u show him something. thanks xiao, very helpful

scaramouche

- cannot admit it when he does nice things for you lol. will buy things you mentioned needing/liking and then leave them at your apartment right before he leaves just so you can’t question him about it lmao. it’s easier to deal with the “thank you!!!” text you send rather than try not to lose his mind when you pull him in for a hug

- despite his cold exterior, he’s very committed to texting u everyday. but he’s such a menace so sometimes it’s like “good morning” and sometimes it’s like “childe fell down the stairs this morning. had a good laugh.” like ….. pls.
