Dear lord, he has another one.

Being a single dad, having to protect a city, running a bar AND having 5 children was extremely tiring.

The only time you would usually see him is if he was working at the bar, or if it was night time and work was over for him.

He always felt terrible about not spending a lot of time with his children, so he'd probably stay up late at night with you and the others to make up for it.

Like once everyone was out of the bar for the night, he would play some songs and have a dance party with everyone. ( probably made some amazing root beer floats )

Whenever you would be arguing with someone, he would always make the two of you talk it out and apologize to each other.

" Vander! Mylo hid away all of my arrows and I can't go do archery! "

" I told you I didn't touch them Y/N! "

" Kids, lets calm down , we don't want the situation getting any worse. "

Once you said you wanted to try archery for the first time, he was so stoked but also scared.

What if you got hurt? stabbed yourself on accident? KILLED SOMEONE-

10000% overthinks ALL THE TIME.

Whenever it was just you and Vander alone at night, I feel like he would lay on the couch and let you lay on him.

cuddling together as he read you one of your favorite chapter books.

sometimes you would fall asleep and he would think it is the cutest thing ever.

Vander was laying on his back while you were laying on top of him. One of Vander's large arms was wrapped protectively around you as you snuggled into his chest. Vander's other hand was holding up a chapter book, soon flipping to the next page as he continued to read out loud to you.

" Nex slowly placed his hand on top of the book. Suddenly, a bright and shining light glowed from the- "

*SNOREEEEE*

"... You asleep, kiddo? "

Getting no answer, he chuckled and smiled, slowly closing the book and placing it on the coffee table. Vander picked you up in his arms and slowly walked to your room, trying to not wake you up.

He placed you on your mattress and placed the warm blankets on top of you, leaning down to the bedside and brushing your hair out of your face.

" I love you, kiddo. Sweet dreams. " He whispered, placing a small kiss on your forehead before slowly walking out of your room.

I think it would be so funny if you two just geeked out on a book you were reading about and the rest of the kids are just like " ???? "

" Oh my god, don't even get me started on how much of an asshole Kate was towards Charlie! She was so mean? FOR NO REASON TOO! " - You

" I feel like Charlie is going to find out that she actually stole Liz's gem lane instead of finally getting her own. " - Vander

" WHO THE HELL IS CHARLIE AND KATE AND WHAT THE FUCK IS A GEM LANE?! " - Vi

Some nicknames he would call you are kiddo, bud and kid.

Vi

Since you are a year younger than Vi, you would still get bossed around by her.

She would boss you around in a joking manner of course

Like waiting for the perfect moment of when you get off the couch to stretch and then will ask for you to get her a Fanta or a Coke.

She gets herself into a lot of fights, and you would usually be the one cleaning her wounds up

" Hold still- Vi- VI STOP MOVING, I CAN'T EVEN PUT A BAND AID ON YOU?! "

" But I look even more cooler if people see my cool battle scars! "

" Vi you are 16, I'd be concerned if you had real battle scars. "

I bet you, she would see this cute girl or guy and immediately come to you to tell you about them.

Sometimes she would ask you for advice on how to talk to them and you're just like ??

Usually, you’ll train with Vi with that robot punching bag game thingy.

You would always make bets with each other as well

And you always lost

You started getting out of breath as you uppercut the robot guy. You were 1200 points away from getting onto the leader board, but you were so exhausted it HURT. Your legs were shaking as you tried dodging one last time, getting hit by the robot and losing.

" Oopsie daisy~ and per usual I, the unbeatable Vi, won yet again. "

" ughhhhhh- I can't feel my legs- How do you do this everyday for two hours straight!? "

" My motivation is to get hot Piltover chicks and get sick abs. "

" What's with you and Piltover girls anyway? "

" Have you ever seen cute chicks down here? "

" 1. no, and 2, you are a minor, please stop saying chicks like you're a 34 year old man. "

" yeah, yeah whatever scrub. Now go get me my Fanta prize. "

Some nicknames she would call you were Scrub and Sparrow

Scrub because you can never beat her at anything that requires physical movement.

Sparrow because you like to shoot arrows.

Powder

Since she is the youngest, she gets picked on by Mylo. A lot.

Just be prepared for her to come running to you if Vi isn’t there to protect her from Mylo’s shenanigans.

She would probably look up to you because of what you do for her.

Like when she asked if you could teach her how to shoot a bow and arrow.

You made her a homemade bow and let her color and design it herself. ( which she got very excited about. )

“ great, now pull the string all the way back to your chin… “

Powder did so, closing one of her eyes as she aimed at the spray pained piece of cardboard.

“ Relax your shoulders and lower your elbow a bit. And in 3… 2… 1… shoot “

She let go of the string, the arrow flying to the other side of the room as it crashed into a vase full of wilting flowers. The two of you starred at the broken vase as it shattered to the ground and water spilled on the floor.

“ Y/N?! POWDER? WHAT HAPPENED? “ Vander yelled from the other room, the two of you hearing him get up out of his chair. “ hurry, hurry- give me the bow- “

Another reason she looks up to you is that you take the blame if Vi isn’t there to defend her.

Whenever she trips or falls and gets hurt, you’re usually the one that will clean up her wounds while Vi is there to calm her down.

I feel like Vi would hype up her falls and call them cool.

“ Yknow, that was a pretty badass fall. “ - Vi

“ Oh, totally. You owned that shit like a motha’. Fuckin’. boss. “ - You

“ See? And that’s why she is one of the strongest girls I know! “ - Vi

Oh. And the two of you spoil her so much.

She still has old markers that won’t work from 2 years ago because of how thankful she was for the gift.

She forces you and Vi to draw with her a lot because she wants to make something for you two.

Powder doesn’t really call you any nicknames normally.

But when you two are playing stuffed animals, she will call you ‘ Evil Meowtins‘ thanks to your role of a scary villain cat.

Mylo

Tried making Mylo’s the longest! Hope you enjoy, Anon :)

Being the second youngest at 14, he always tried being the ‘ coolest ‘ of the group.

There are times where he will purposely lock everyone in to show off his amazing lock picking skills.

He tries to pick fights with Claggor because he is a couple days older than him.

You are ALWAYS. the one that makes him calm down as well.

If he gets a little hot headed, he will come to you to rant for a bit.

You try and listen as well as you can, but when he doesn’t know what else to complain about he will start to repeat himself.

“ and when I fell down- HE LAUGHED AT ME. Even though it was his fault that he put the paint bucket there in the first place!! “ - Mylo

“ mhm… Yeah, I think you hit your head pretty hard because you’re forgetting that you’ve said this 4 times now. “ - You

He gets really embarrassed when you tease him in front of people but would pretend it didn’t phase him.

He teases you as well, but will apologize if you tell him to stop.

You’ve learned that Mylo has a difficult time expressing his emotions. Like really bad.

He throws fits and cause fights as a coping mechanism, which in the end makes things worse. For both him and the others.

You’ve learned to be patient with him, also defending him in certain situations when he was being the one picked on.

You’ve decided to do this little trick with him, trying to make him stop his acting out habits.

Whenever he would be nice for the day or whenever he wouldn’t complain a lot, you would give him a small brain teaser toy.

Whenever he was mediocre, you would give him maybe 1 or 3 simple Metal puzzle toys.

He would bring the small puzzles with him whenever he left the house just incase he got bored.

Then, whenever he was nice the entire day or most of the day, you would give him large and difficult puzzles for him.

Some of them would be too difficult so you would get the ones he couldn’t do and give them to Ekko.

He would always use them though, having his own little corner with all of the puzzles you got for him.

He asks you if you want to do pranks with him, which you can’t say no to or else you would be a target next.

Fun fact, did you know Claggor’s real hair color is actually blonde?

“ MYLO! “

“ What ya want now? “ He said, pretending to tinker with a locked box.

“ DID YOU DO THIS?! “ Claggor ran into their shared room and pointed at his hair. It was no longer a dirty blonde color, his hair was a very dark chocolatey brown with some blonde spots here and there.

“ Oh wow, Claggor- pfft, I never knew you wanted to dye your hair brown. “

“ I think the color suits you nicely, Claggor!” You said, giving him a genuine smile.

“ VANDERRRRR! “ Claggor screamed out, starting to walk to the other room.

“ HEY- waitwaitwait nono we can talk this out- Y/N was the one with the idea in the first place! “ Mylo panicked, quickly walking behind him while waving his arms around rapidly.

“ OI! YOU’RE SUCH A LIAR, I ONLY GAVE YOU THE CASH! HOW DARE YOU USE ME AS A HUMAN SHIELD FOR YOUR OWN GAIN! “ You yelled, soon running after them.

Thankfully Claggor started to like his new hair color and kept it for a couple more years.

Again, you never usually yell at people and you can be patient when it comes to your brothers and sisters.

The first time you got full on mad was actually thanks to Mylo.

“ Mylo… if you don’t get that bow out of your stupid little closet I will use your head as a sledge hammer and get it out myself. “

Mylo was trying to impress you on how great of a lock picker he was and locked your bow in his closet. Problem was, after he got your attention, he couldn’t get the locks open and now his lock picker was jammed.

If this was any other item you probably wouldn’t get angry. But since this was a gift from Vander and the rest of your siblings ( ft. Ekko for paying 4 cents in total ), you were getting pissed.

“ uh- uh- right- sorry okay uhm. Oh god- “

“ I’m going to give you 30 minutes to figure your shit out and if I don’t get my bow back by then, Mylo. I’ll make sure that you will see something even scarier than death itself, do you understand?!“

He nodded and quickly got back to work.

In the end, he ‘ borrowed ‘ Vander’s axe and saved your bow from being forgotten in his gross closet.

Yeah, never again.

He calls you a lot of nicknames. Some to tease you.

Gears ; you got scammed after thinking you bought a box full of arrowheads, looking in the box at home only to have 100 gears instead. Also how you got the nickname ‘ Gears for Brains. ‘

Jammer ; after the incident with the closet and your bow, whenever you you couldn’t find your bow he would call you Jammer. ( like how his lock pick got jammed )

Fruit Cake ; you once ate some old ladies fruit cake to be nice and later threw up the 3 slices she fed you. Calls you fruit cake whenever you are hurt or feeling sick.

Some other examples are ; archer, salty Salmon, sibby ( refuses to say sibling ), buggy, stinky breath, etc.

Claggor

The calmest sibling out of the entire Vander family

Usually when the two of you hang out it’s just you guys reading two different books in the same room.

It’s not that you two were awkward or didn’t like each other, you two just had your own kind of hanging out time.

But when you guys did plan to do something, the two of you would think about making trick arrows.

You two were in love with all of the comic books with Birdeye and Bait Bishop that you were both inspired to try and make their trick arrows.

Once, you two tried making a net arrow and it exploded in both of your faces.

You two got so tangled up in the nets that you had to call Vander over to cut you guys out.

Both of you can geek out about books and plays for hours and not get bored.

Sometimes Vander had to tell you guys to shut up and go to bed because of your late night talks.

“ Yeah, I honestly think Felix was the one that killed Ammi because remember in chapter 6 when they found out that Felix served prison for attacking his ex girlfriend?“ - Claggor

“ Yeah, no way. Jennie got jealous of Ammi when she went against her word and hooked up with that Taylor guy. Jennie is TOTTALY the killer- “ - you

“ kids… you’ve been talking about this for the past 2 hours… please just go to bed “ - Vander

It’s either that or he walks into the living room to see that you both fell asleep on the couch.

You two also like baking together.

Even though Claggor is the one that does most of the baking, you’re the one that does things like decorations and if you two are making a cake, you’re the one that frosts it.

The reason you only did decoration and frosting was because you were banned from baking cakes

It was a pretty uneventful day for Vander. The bar wasn’t as crowded like it usually was and no one tried to come in and pick a fight. He started humming to himself before he heard a loud boom coming from the kitchen, hearing a couple of screams and some pans dropping on the floor.

Dad mode on. “ Y/N!! NO- “ That was the sound of Claggor’s voice. He quickly left the bar and rushed to the kitchen “ Y/N?! Claggor?! Are you okay- “ Vander started coughing as he inhaled flour into his nose, squinting and fanning his hand around to try and see what happened.

“ Kids you okay? “ he asked, “ what happened in here? “

“ Y/N- how much baking powder did you use for the cake… “ Claggor asked, helping you up from the floor.

“ well- It was a lot of cake that we were making, so I poured the rest of the box. “

It was silent for a long time before you spoke up again, “ …I’m guessing I wasn’t supposed to add that much- “

“ You guess? You just exploded mY WHOLE KITCHEN- “

Vander made a weird face before looking at Claggor’s outline through the flour dust, “ your kitchen? “

“ Well it’s not that bad. “ you said quickly, trying to look on the bright side. “ at least I didn’t put metal in the microwave, hahaha!”

“ …kiddo… I love you, so, so much. I want you to know that. You are one of my oldest children, one of the mature ones and I greatly appreciate that… “

“ Aw! Thanks pops! I tr- “

“ But you’re no longer allowed to bake anything from now on. “

Oh god, after that incident, Mylo and Vi wouldn’t stop teasing you for months.

Claggor doesn’t really use nicknames for you and calls you by your name to show respect.

When the two of you are alone and he wants to get your attention, he will call you his sibling.

Ekko

Ekko was the youngest of the group, but he was definitely the most energetic out of everyone.

Ekko looked up to you and Vi the most.

He thought you two were badass and thought you two were superheros at some point.

When you both had to tell him the truth, he was heartbroken but still looked up to you.

If he saw you out in public he would just follow you around, asking if you needed help with anything.

When he was going to be alone for the night, you would bring him back home to have a sleepover.

It was so hard to put Ekko to sleep, so sometimes you two would just read kids stories until you both passed out.

You usually fall asleep before him though…

“ and with a swoop of her wand… she gave Cinderella… “ you let out a yawn.

“ wait I want to see what happens! Don’t go to sleep yet! I want to see her pretty dress! “

“ mhm… of course little man, I’ll try and stay up. “ You smiled and kissed the top of his head. You two were currently sitting on the couch, both of you sitting cris-cross-apple-sauce while Ekko sat on your lap.

“ Cinderellas ruined dress started to glow,,, the fabric turned into beautiful silk as it turned into gorgeous blue ball gown“ Ekko waited for you to turn the page for a couple of seconds before hearing a small bonk behind him.

Ekko turned around to look at you to see you passed the fuck out. Your head hit the top of the couch, as you let out soft snores. Ekko pouted and yanked the book from your hands before closing it and putting it on the ground, turning around again to cuddle into your chest.

Since you called him little man and cutie pie as nicknames, he started making some up for you.

Sleep monster ; the amount of times you have, quote, “ betrayed him “ by falling asleep when you didn’t finish reading his books gained you this title.

after retiring from formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season, f1 legend sebastian vettel realised a while after the announcement that he would miss the paddock way too much. instead of taking back his announcement, he pairs up with an up-and-coming driver and gets her a seat in a race car in formula 1.

this is SOOO heavily inspired by @sebscore and also @thepersonnamedsam (i was doing some research how to start and came across theirs too) and i'm lOVING IT!!

A/N: This is for my sleepy people who like me always need a nap or two during the day.

When you first started dating Paul it didn’t cross your mind to tell him how tired you actually got because it was never something that got in the way until you started following him to Grand Prix’s. Going with him was rare because your studies came first, and he understood that thankfully, there were times when you could still be together. 

But this weekend you’d joined him at the Monaco Grand Prix because well it’s Monaco. You’d decided to stay in the hotel room for practice catching up on the work that you’d missed during your journey to Monaco. 

For qualifying you’d gone down to the Hitech garage sitting in the dressing room for Paul and his teammate Amaury. Sitting down as you watched Paul getting suited up with your eyes closing due to a mixture of being tired and the jetlag that was still catching up with you. 

Paul walked over, pushing a couple of strands out of your face as you looked up to him. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his chest 

“Why didn't you say that you're feeling tired, armastus?” He asked softly (Love) 

“I was feeling okay until I sat down and stopped doing anything” You explained, and he nodded, pressing a kiss to your temple 

“Please have a nap while I’m at quali” You sighed 

“I want to watch you though baby” You looked up at him as Paul ran a hand through your hair 

“I know you do, armastus, but remember what happened last time you stayed up to watch me?” He asked and, you nodded, looking down a little 

“Yeah I remember” You had gotten overtired at the last Grand Prix that you’d attended and almost ended up passing out, walking back to the hotel. 

“Okay so please just have a nap, armastus. I promise that I’ll give you a lap by lap when we get back to the hotel room and even though I know you’ll fall asleep listening to me but then I at least know you’re safe” You nodded looking up at him as he leaned down and pressed a kiss to your lips 

“Be safe out there baby” You smiled up at him 

“You know I will be” He smiled, kissing you before leaving the room, and you moved to lay down on the massage table in the middle of the room, waving to Amaury as he left. 

You slept for the whole of qualifying and through the debriefs, only waking up when you heard Paul and Amaury talking about the car as they walked back into the dressing room. You rubbed your eyes as you looked over in the direction of the voices. Both boys placed their helmets and water bottles down, a clear sign they hadn’t been there long. Paul looked over a smile forming on his face as he saw you awake. 

Keeping up his conversation, he walked over sitting on the massage table next to you as he rubbed a comforting hand across your back. You closed your eyes again, enjoying the comforting touch and the comforting sounds of his voice. 

You hadn’t realised that while Paul was sitting there that you’d actually fallen back asleep again under his touch and warm voice. You couldn’t help it. He was just so warm in general. Paul had crouched down in front of you once he was ready to leave for the day, gently rubbing your arm and pushing a few strands of hair out of your face.

“Armastus it’s time to go home” He whispered, pressing a kiss to your forehead as you stirred awake. Looking about to get your surroundings before setting your eyes on Paul, who had a small smile on his face 

“Time to get you back to the hotel darling” He smiled and you nodded sitting up with Paul’s help because he always finds a way to have physical contact with you when possible. 

“I didn’t mean to fall back asleep” You whispered, and he nodded 

“I know you didn’t but you did, and that’s okay” He hummed, pressing a kiss to your temple as he took your hand and bag, walking out of the dressing room with you. 

You couldn’t have asked for a better boyfriend. He was always so loving and kind about you constantly just wanting to nap and not leave the house. He didn’t care because when you wanted to nap, it meant extra cuddles for him, and he loved the contact even if he was meant to be working. 

There were often times when Paul was meant to be on Zoom meetings however, you wanted a nap, so you came first. He’d sit in bed while you lay with your head on his chest - where he placed it - and he’d do the Zoom meeting on his phone from bed. It didn’t go down well with the higher ups to begin with, but once they realised that he wasn’t ever going to change his setup, they stopped caring. 

Walking through the paddock to the car park felt like it was taking forever. Maybe that’s because you’d just woken up, and you still weren’t quite fully awake, or maybe it’s just because Formula Two really felt like putting their paddock the furthest away from the entrance. 

Paul kept one arm around your waist and his other hand was connected to yours probably making sure that you weren’t just going to collapse to the floor again even though the reason for that had been discovered Paul wasn’t having it. 

“What’s the plans for tonight?” You asked Paul, looking up at him 

“Well I cancelled my gym session because I wanted to cuddle you. I’m doing that in the morning now. So I believe that the night just calls for cuddles and my lap by lap” He smiled, and you couldn’t help but smile back at him. It was the perfect night. 

And that’s exactly what happened, well kind of. Paul ordered room service with some of your favourite snacks, including fruit, before picking up the blanket and following you around the room with it. 

“Let me wrap you up” He chuckled as you stopped turning to face him, raising your hands up to keep him away 

“I don’t want to be wrapped up” You giggled, and he raised an eyebrow 

“That’s not what you said last night” He smirked 

“Last night was different!” You argued, and he shook his head, taking a step towards you, so you took a step back. 

“Was it really?” He asked, taking another step forward, causing you to take one back. 

“It was, and you know it!” You exclaimed, and he chuckled. With every step forward he took, you took one back until your back hit the wall 

“Shit” You mumbled as he smirked, closing the gap between you both. Blanket thrown on the couch in the hotel room by now. 

“Nowhere to run now kallis” He smirked, and you looked up at him. His eyes captivating you as you tilted your head a little 

“And what are you going to do about me running away, hmm?” You asked with a slight smirk. His hand came up to hold your jaw in place as he leaned down, pressing his lips to yours, starting a make-out session between the two of you. 

Eventually, Paul did manage to get you wrapped in the blanket like a burrito after your make-out session lying in bed with you, his arms wrapped around you as your head rested on his chest. His hand brushed through your hair as your eyes started to close, listening to him give a lap by lap about quali. The night was perfect. In fact, the whole day was perfect.

The winter air was filled with festive cheer as the Formula 1 paddock prepared for its annual Secret Santa exchange. As a rookie, it was your first time participating in this heartwarming tradition and you were excited, to say the least. The camera crew followed you, capturing every moment leading up to the big reveal of your Christmas gift.

The media team had already hinted that your gift was something extraordinary, a collective effort from the entire grid. The box was larger than expected, and you could feel the curiosity building up.

Lifting the lid, you were met with an array of dog toys, dog clothes, and even some dog food. A chuckle escaped your lips as you examined the peculiar assortment. "Interesting," you remarked, holding up a tiny doggie shirt to the camera. "I doubt that's going to fit me, but I really appreciate the thought, everyone."

Laughter echoed around you, and you took the lighthearted gift in stride, knowing the Secret Santa segment was known for its humorous nature.

Behind the scenes, someone from the camera crew spoke up, letting you know that this was only half of your present. Perplexed, you turned toward the camera, curiosity etched across your face. Then, from behind you, emerged a crew member carrying a small, fluffy golden retriever puppy in his arms.

Your eyes widened in disbelief, and a hushed "no, no, no" escaped your lips as you connected the dots. The reality sunk in, and you moved back, your hand covering your mouth in sheer disbelief. "Say sike right now," you pleaded, almost unable to comprehend what was in front of you. The response was a firm denial, confirming that the puppy was indeed your Secret Santa gift from the entire grid.

You gingerly accepted the puppy into your arms, cradling it close to your chest. "Oh, you're so small," you cooed, a mixture of laughter and happy tears streaming down your face. The puppy reciprocated with wet kisses, and you couldn't help but snuggle into the warmth of this unexpected gift.

As you revel in the joy of the moment, a voice from behind the camera interrupted, "Do you like your gift?" You nodded vigorously, still cradling the puppy in your arms. "I love him so, so much," you replied, sniffling.

Finally, you noticed a note nestled among the dog toys. With the puppy still in your arms, you delicately unfolded the note, "Happy Christmas, Y/N. You are collectively everyone's favourite on the grid. Hope you like the puppy, he's just like you," the note read and was signed by all the drivers.

Tears continued to stream down your cheeks as you looked into the camera. "Thank you, everyone. I love all of you. This is the best Christmas ever." You lifted the puppy so that he could face the camera too, and the collective "awws" echoed around the paddock.

The person behind the camera couldn't resist asking, "What are you going to name him?" You pondered for a moment before deciding, "He looks like a Lenny, no?"

Y/N was mindlessly scrolling through her phone when a sudden loud voice interrupted her peaceful time. ''How are we feeling about today, Y/N?'' Martin bent his knees, so he could hold the mic up to her face as she sat on the ground. 

''Oh my god, you scared the shit out of me.'' She cursed, quickly covering her mouth as she knows she isn't supposed to swear on Sky Sports. ''Uh, I'm feeling pretty good about it, I'm starting on the second row, so not too bad.'' The driver answered his question, smiling sheepishly. 

''You like having alone time before a race?'' He continued, a grin on his face. 

Y/N shrugged her shoulders. ''I just happen to be alone right now, sometimes I'm chatting with my team or with some of the other drivers.'' 

''Martin, you look a bit tired, you want to sit down?'' She patted the space next to her, feeling bad that he was crouching down while she comfortably sat on the grass. 

The former F1 driver held a look of surprise on his face. ''In all my years I've been doing this, no one has ever offered me to sit down.'' He gave the camera a glance before slowly letting himself sink to the ground. 

''You know, people always wonder 'Where is Martin?' But no one ever wonders 'How is Martin?' We need to take better care of you.'' The man seemed clueless about what she was saying, but he was amused either way. 

''I'm alright, all that walking takes a lot of energy.'' He responded, pretending to wipe sweat off his forehead. 

Y/N chuckled. ''Yeah, I mean, you've been doing this longer than I've been alive, so I understand that you're tired from all the walking.'' She never let the oppurtunity slip to make him aware of their age gap. 

''Well, let's not talk age,'' he sighed, making her laugh, ''anyway, I think I might just hang around here for the entire segment.'' Martin concluded. 

An idea popped into her head as she heard his words. ''Can I do it? I've always wanted to do it.'' 

Martin was surprised for a second time since joining the young woman. ''You mean I let you go around the grid and talk to people?'' 

She nodded. ''Yes, I love bothering people with my presence.'' Y/N said, matter-of-factly. 

The Brit looked at his cameraman, who adamantly nodded his head to the idea of letting the driver do her thing around the grid. 

Martin let out a deep breath, but handed his mic and headset over. ''Just don't get me fired,'' he said, trying to sound stern, ''and don't curse!'' He quickly added. 

''I won't, I promise! I'll see you later!'' She got up from the ground and put the headset on, slightly altering it so it fit her head perfectly. ''Alright, let's make some controversy.'' Y/N exclaimed, pulling the cameraman along. 

She glanced around the grid, trying to find some interesting people to talk to. ''So, I just need to find a person and ask them questions about whatever I want?'' The athlete asked the cameraman, who simply nodded his head, making the camera shake as well.

''Oh, I love this program!'' She giggled into the microphone, doing a small jump out of happiness. 

Y/N observed the grid, knowing her first ''guest'' needed to be a good one. ''Okay, I've found someone!'' She let the cameraman know, pointing in the direction she wanted to go. 

''Alright,'' she tapped the person's shoulder, having them turn to the camera in confusion, ''the first guest on Y/N's grid walk is the team principal of Mercedes… Petronas… Benz…,'' she tried remembering the full team name, ''Whatever, his name is Susie's husband! Welcome, Susie's husband.'' She introduced Toto. 

The Austrian man was incredibly entertained by the young woman's antics. ''Hello, Y/N.'' 

''I have to ask you- how does it feel to be married to the greatest woman alive?'' She asked him, glancing around to find the woman in question. 

Toto laughed at the question, but proceeded. ''It's great, Susie is an amazing person who has done countless amazing projects and campaigns- I'm a very lucky man.'' The sincere smile on Toto's face when talking about his wife brought a smile to Y/N's face. 

''That's so cute- where is she? I only came over here, because I thought she would be here.'' 

''Unfortunately, she's not here today,'' he told her in a sad tone, ''I know that upsets you, Y/N.'' The driver's girl crush on Susie had been an obvious thing for many years, amusing everyone involved. 

Y/N pouted at his words. ''Well, yeah… that upsets me a lot actuall-''

''What is going on here?'' A British accent interrupted her interview with the team principal. 

''Go away, Russell George! I don't want you on my show.'' Y/N teasingly dismissed George, slapping his arm to get him out of frame. 

The Mercedes driver feigned offense, placing his hand on his heart. ''Why not? I thought we were great friends, Y/L.'' 

''Crikey, crikey, crikey! Don't you have shirtless pictures to post somewhere? Bye bye!'' She quickly got away from the Mercedes team, practically running at one point. 

Y/N let out a big sigh into the mic. ''Martin was right, this is tiring,'' she momentarily stopped in her steps, her hand on her waist, ''OH! Look! It's Charles Lechair!'' Her tiredness from a few seconds before was long forgotten as she strided over to her Monégasque friend. 

''Charles, hello, Charles!'' She put her hand on his back, guiding him to the camera. ''How are you feeling about the race today? What are the strategies? Do they know that word at Ferrari?'' She teased the red team. 

''Uh, we're feeling optimistic today and yeah, I'm ready to give it my all.'' He smiled, putting up his tv-friendly facade, not wanting to trash talk his team on television. 

Y/N raised her eyebrow. ''You're so cute being all positive! Keep that attitude, Perceval!'' She patted his shoulder. ''Thanks for talking to me and good luck!'' She bid him goodbye. 

The young driver walked in all sorts of directions. There were many people present on the grid, yet Y/N had quite a hard time finding people to talk to. It was when she walked by the Red Bull team that she found her next victim. 

''Christian! Christian Horner, hello, welcome!'' She and the team principal didn't have the best history, but she knew the viewers would enjoy the interaction as they knew said history. 

''Everyone, I'm joined here today by Red Bull, uh, Orange, Racing or whatever, F1 Team's team principal, Christian Horner.'' She butchered the team name again, although it was one purpose this time. 

She turned towards the man. ''Christian, I won't hold you up too long, but there is one question that our viewers have been dying to ask you and I think this is the right time to finally do it.'' Y/N build the question up. 

''Yes?'' He seemed a bit nervous, attentively listening to her words. 

''Can you say one nice thing about Y/N Y/L?'' 

The Brit visibly looked relieved at the question, thinking it would be something controversial. ''Of course, she's, uh, a very talented race car driver.'' He nervously smiled at her. 

''You heard it here first, ladies and gentlemen, Christian Horner thinks Y/N Y/L is the most talented driver in the history of Formula One!'' She overdramatized his response. 

''You know what they say, keep your friends close, but keep your enemies even closer.'' She patted Christian's shoulder. ''Thanks for the talk, good luck and I hope you don't win.'' Y/N told him before walking off, hearing him laugh behind her. 

''So far, I've talked to Toto Wolff and Christian Horner,'' she said to the camera, ''enemies to, uh, even worser enemies, I guess.'' 

''Guys, we're here with Yuki's boyfriend, Pierre Gasly.'' Y/N stood next to the Alpha Tauri driver, shoving the microphone in his face. He took his airpods out of his ears, already chuckling at the girl's actions. 

''How are you doing?'' 

''I'm-''

''That's all the time we have for you, I'm sorry.'' She didn't let him finish his words and walked away from him, quickly giving him a smile so he knew she was entirely joking. 

She stepped further onto the grid, continuing to look for people. ''A bunch of green outfits, not very fashionable- oh, it's Aston Martin! Let's find Sebastian!'' Y/N mixed herself with the Aston Martin team, trying to catch the German driver. 

''Seb! Seb! Can I ask you a few questions?'' She eventually reached the man, greeting him with a kiss on the cheek. 

His signature bright smile covered his face. ''Yeah, but where's Martin?'' 

''Me and Martin made an agreement, I get to do the grid walk and he gets to drive my car later- although, he never won any races, so that might not have been a great decision on my part.'' She told Sebastian, who seemed confused and fascinated at the same time. 

''Well, I think you're doing a great job as reporter.'' He deflected her words, not wanting to get in trouble by saying anything about Brundle's lack of GP wins. 

She smiled. ''Thanks, anyway… I know qualifying didn't go too well for you, but are you optimistic about the race?'' 

''Yeah, quali wasn't what we were hoping for,'' he sighed, ''It's gonna be difficult today, but we're gonna try our best to get as much points as we can for the championship.'' Sebastian finished his answer with an encouraging nod. 

''That's great to hear! You've been- oh my god, is that your dad?'' Y/N had glanced away from Sebastian's face for one second and saw Norbert watching them, waving at her once he noticed her looking at him. ''Okay, bye Sebastian! I'm gonna talk to your dad now.'' 

She walked past the Aston Martin driver to approach his father. ''Can I ask you some questions? I swear it's very short.'' She didn't want to burden him for too long. 

Norbert gave her a thumbs up, not minding being interviewed for a short time by her. ''It's okay.'' 

''Amazing! I mean, you're a legend of the paddock, Norbert! The drivers love you, the fans love you, everyone just loves you! Do you feel the love every time you attend a GP?''

Y/N had a good relationship with him as he and Sebastian would sometimes attend her karting tournaments together. Norbert had given her parents advice on how to support the young girl as best as possible. In a nutshell, the Vettel family were some of the greatest people she had ever met. 

''I do feel it, it's a great feeling and everyone is so nice to me.'' He wasn't very confident in his English, so he kept it short. 

Y/N smiled at him, delighted she got the chance to talk to him. ''You're always super sweet to everyone, so it's only right that we reciprocate your kindness,'' she nodded, ''okay, last question! Apart from Seb, who is the driver you're rooting for today? Is it someone you know very well? Or someone who is standing next to you and is asking you amazing questions?'' She played with a strand of her hair, pretending like she wasn't talking about herself. 

He laughed at her words. ''I'm supporting you, of course!'' He exclaimed, his arm going around her shoulder. 

''Oh! You're the best, Norbert! You're my favorite Vettel for a reason!'' Y/N said extra loud, knowing Sebastian would hear it that way. 

''I'll leave you alone now, thank you so much and I'll see you after the race.'' She gave him a brief hug and he wished her good luck, which she thanked him for. 

The cameraman had difficulties keeping up with her, used to the slower pace of Martin. Y/N noticed this and slowed down, sending him an apologetic look. ''Alright, I've talked to Seb, so I feel obligated to talk to Lewis now.'' She commented, trying to look for the 7x World Champion. 

''Where is he? He shouldn't be this hard to find…'' The athlete always saw the Mercedes driver hanging around the grid, chatting with his celebrity friends or getting ready with Angela. 

Y/N frowned. ''I should lore him or something…,'' she thought for a moment, ''vegan food, I have vegan food! Uh, free skydiving session! Oh my god, is that Roscoe on the track?'' She tried making him appear, but the only thing she got was weird looks from bypassers. 

However, a certain blond man caught her attention instead. ''Okay, I can't find Lewis, but this person knows him very well… or used to at least.'' 

''Britney Spears! Can I interview you for the highly respected tv-show, Y/N's grid walk?'' She snuck up to the former Mercedes driver, catching him off guard, but he played it off. ''Sure, I'm very honored.'' His monotone voice almost made her cringe. 

''First question: is it alright if I call you Britney? I don't know how you feel about the nickname.'' 

Nico chuckled at her. ''You can call me that, Y/N.'' 

''Ooooh~ I'm getting special privileges! I like it!'' She was impressed by Nico's answer, not being sure if he would go along with her humor. 

''Next question! How does it feel to be a Monaco based Youtuber? Do you enjoy the influencer life?'' 

The former World Champion snickered at her question, not expecting her to bring up his Youtube channel. ''It feels great, I'm, uh, yeah, enjoying the influencer life.'' She could tell Nico was doing his best to come off as positive as possible. 

''Nice, good for you, dude! Anyway, this was Britney, the man who beat the 7x World Champion, Lewis Hamilton, in equal machinery in 2016!'' She quoted the meme that was often made online when people talked about Rosberg. 

Y/N didn't wait for Nico's reaction, a bit too scared if she was honest, and made a run for it again. ''I've talked to three German guys- wait, is Nico German? He said once that he doesn't drink beer, so I don't know if he's considered German.'' She rambled on, not even listening to the words that were leaving her own mouth. 

''There's Jenson.'' She caught the Brit talking to his Sky Sports colleagues. ''You know what? I've embarrassed myself enough already, I'm not making it any worse.'' Y/N went in another direction so as to not cross paths with him. 

''Too bad he doesn't drive anymore, I would have loved to give him a lucky nipple tweak.'' Martin and Jenson used to have this running gag of the older man giving him a nipple tweak for good luck before a race. 

Y/N didn't see where she was going and almost tripped over someone's foot. ''Oh, shit!'' She loudly exclaimed, balancing herself so she wouldn't fall. ''Oh, fuck I can't swear- wait, shit! Ugh!'' She pulled the microphone away from her face, that way her curses wouldn't be picked up. 

''This isn't live, right? Cause then I'm in trouble, I think.'' She glanced at the cameraman, who mumbled a small ''It is live.'' 

''THIS IS LIVE?'' Y/N gasped, looking absolutely horrified at the thought of thousands of people watching her at that moment. ''Let's find Martin then, I think I've done enough damage.'' 

She headed back to the place where the presenter had approached her. ''Martin! Where is Martin?'' The driver glimpsed around, but no Martin in sight. ''I have oatmeal!'' She yelled, before making eye contact with the camera. ''Old people love oatmeal, right?'' He simply chuckled, not wanting to shake the camera too much with his laughing. 

''Oh, there he is!'' Y/N spotted the man and made her way over to him as fast as she could. ''I definitely didn't say anything controversial or cursed throughout the entire thing.'' She greeted him. 

Martin looked relieved as she handed his microphone and headset back over to him. ''I was out of my element for a while,'' he joked, ''did you have fun, darling?'' 

Y/N nodded her head. ''Yes, I'm even considering changing career paths.'' She chuckled. 

''That's great,'' Martin smiled, confident she made some amazing television, ''well, I think you're gonna have to go, cause I can see your, uh, coach not looking too happy.'' He pointed towards her performance coach staring daggers at her. 

''Oh, fuck, yeah, bye Martin! Thank you so much!'' Y/N quickly thanked the man for letting her take over his segment and she dashed out of there, hoping her team wouldn't be too upset about her disappearing into the grid to ask everyone ridiculous questions. 

''She's a special one for sure.''
