My entry for @llopx amazing tournament: #wizardsvstemplars ! Tiago the Torrid will join the wizards. Here’s his backstory:

Tiago had always been a bit odd. He used to serve in a king’s court as a jester. His fire magic was only ever used for entertainment purposes. Until one fateful day he accidentally set fire to the priceless throne room curtains and was banished from the kingdom. But Tiago wasn’t bothered. The incident had awakened a new passion in him…a passion for arson.

Tiago yearned to burn as many different things as possible. He wandered around aimlessly while setting fire to everything he saw. He even burned his own clothing and tail fur. But it was never enough. To satisfy his urges he started participating in pit fights where he found more interesting things to burn.

Then one day he finally met a worthy adversary. His enemy was clearly a more experienced pit fighter and did not waste any time. Before Tiago could even start to fight back his left arm was severed and he was forcefully pushed to the ground. Before his enemy could land the killing blow Tiago suddenly felt a burning heat in his chest. His magic surged through his body and burst out of his mouth in the form of magic fire. The flame was so powerful that it seared the flesh of his enemy’s arm down to the bone and ended the fight.

Even though he had lost an entire arm in the battle, Tiago felt more alive than ever. After tending to his wounds he set out on a journey to improve his fire magic. His pyromania led to the destruction of several villages and many deaths. It was on this spree that he earned the nickname “Tiago the Torrid”.

But the fight that lost him his arm had also started a new obsession. Tiago found himself longing to once more smell the burning flesh of the one that slashed off his arm. He lost his mind trying to satisfy his craving but nothing came close to the feeling of bliss he had experienced back then.

Frustrated and unhinged he decided to take part in the Wizards vs Templars tournament to feed his addiction. And who knows, maybe he’ll find the one who he yearns to set ablaze most of all.

I finally took time to finish painting this guy. Finally! I also saved step by step process images if anyone is interested. I was thinking about posting it as a GIF? Is that even the best way to do it? Anyways, Forest Troll!

I wasnt sure what to draw so I ended up making a bunch of random sketches that kind of turned into this narrative. You can read the captions but overall the gist is that a young adult just starting out ends up signing a contract with a monster owned company. The pay is great but they are still not sure whether their boss trying to turn them into a monster is a good thing or bad thing. Enjoy the silly shenanigans.
