My heart was racing. First 180 beats per minute. Then 200, then over 220. I could feel it beating against my chest, out of control, faster than it should. The doctors reacted immediately. I heard words like "cardioversion" and "shock". Then the first jolt of electricity. 🥵⚡️🫀

But something went wrong. My heart wasn't slowing down - it was speeding up. The monitor beeped frantically. Another shock. My heart was beating so fast that it could no longer pump properly. 🥵🫀

Then suddenly - silence.

The monitor showed a straight line. No pulse. No more heartbeat... 😰

The doctors immediately started resuscitation measures. Hard, deep compressions. Defibrillation shocks, over and over again. My body jerked with every attempt to bring my heart back. ⚡️

Eight minutes without a heartbeat. Eight minutes in which the doctors fought for my heart. 😰

Were the doctors able to get my heart beating again? 🥵
