Hello! I'm Ducky! Welcome to my disaster area...

Let me introduce myself. I'm Breeanna, otherwise known as Ducky. I need your help.

I am an artist, musician, and spoonie from St. Louis, MO. I have a very rare case of a very rare disease called Gastroparesis. I no longer have a stomach. I have a host of other complications and illnesses that make my medical expenses incredibly expensive. My lifespan is shorted by my illness. I actually almost died from the disease before a life saving surgery to disconnect my stomach in 2023. I'm alive...but still having a hell of a time.

My hobbies include writing, crochet (I make custom scarves and blankets which are for sale!), and love to read. I love color, fashion, and weird animals. I am pansexual, demisexual, and gender non-confirming. My pronouns are she/they (though they is preferred).

I am disabled due to my illness. I work from home and try to supplement my income by making/selling crafty things...but sales are basically non-existent and its hard.

I'm squashing down my pride to ask Tumblr for help.

My cost of living due to my illness is so high that I cant meet the demand and I am deep in debt. I risk losing my phone, car, and even my little apartment. Things are...bad. Even thought I wish I could die (it would be a lot cheaper) I keep pushing forward because I am convinced there is brightness at the end of this tunnel. There has to be. 40 years of suffering is enough.

If you can help me out, even if its $10, you are a godsend.

no time spent writing fanfic is ever wasted

It's Cat Day! ≽^•⩊•^≼✿♡♡

22 February or 22/2 is Cat Day in Japan because it can be read as ni ni ni (the Japanese word for 2) and that resembles nyan nyan nyan and that’s the sound of a (Japanese) mewing cat.

It also happens to be Ninja Day, because ni ni ni.

To celebrate both, I recommend Neko Zamurai. (It has English subtitles.)

But Tooru had to, somehow, have the bad luck of attracting the soul-searching eyes of pretty Ushijima Wakatoshi with his taciturn nature, dry wit and soothing quiet; an ass of epic proportions simply because Tooru cannot figure out for the life of him, how a Wizard of Ushiwaka’s stand can be so terribly unimaginative and dull.

It’s off-putting to say the least and if Tooru hates anything then it’s a) people who are better than him and b) especially if they have nothing that makes them stand out from an average crowd of Wizards in The Consortium.

Traits which unfortunately also apply to Ushijima Wakatoshi.

It’s one of the reasons he doesn’t quite know what to do with Satori.

Aside from the fact that Tooru is pretty certain that he shouldn’t be caught dead with the redhead who has been excised from The Consortium at thirteen, he knows that was Satori has is special.

Tooru doesn’t know what it is, but it’s…

It has bite.

It has teeth.

There’s a prickle of something metallic and acidulously dangerous at the back of Tooru’s tongue every time he gets to witness Satori’s Magic up close and personal.

Most days, thinking about Satori makes him angry.

Heyaa.. As you mentioned previously.. may I ask why you don't like iwaoi as a ship that much? I really wanna know cuzz I feel that would really help me story<3~

Oh! Well goodness. It's more of a preference thing? Personally I just don't see them in that constellation, but I also love how other people depict/ describe them in a relationship!

When I say I don't like it it's more of a: I don't go out looking for it, but if I happen across a piece and it's well written, maybe I'll read it and maybe I'll even like it (has happened and likely might happen again).

Personally, when I see Oikawa, I see someone terribly focused and determined, and also someone who grows so much (this is, imo, shown better in the manga than the anime). But I don't relate to him that much (except for playing volleyball with a dang knee injury, been there, done that) on a personal level and, to me, rarepairs and polycules are a much more interesting fare to read and write.

You probably wanted a short answer, sorry for the rant, but also: in terms of helping your story-- as someone who writes themselves just... don't focus too much on what other people think of your ship/idea/story? Write it. Be glad you can write it. Revise it. Again and again and again if necessary- just enough that you've felt the ache of writing and come out satisfied with the piece you've made- and don't mind what others say.

If you take away anything for your story I hope it'd be that.
