FAMILIAR FAMILIAR is a self indulgent TOTK AU where Link and Zelda traverse the wild lands of Hyrule together. There are ruins to be discovered and monsters to be eaten.

So one of my neighbors has a lawn Roomba or whatever they're called, and this thing trundles around looking like a background robot in the background of the original trilogy, and ABSOLUTELY BAFFLING THE DOGS.

They have concluded, I think, that it's some kind of prey animal because right after this video ended they decided to crouch down and stalk it, which means I'm 90% sure I'm going to have to stop Arwen from eating it at some point.

If you answer no, please let me know why, I'm genuinely curious. I don't mean for this to seem like there's one right answer, there isn't, it's just when I post works, I hope to get criticism because I know I'm a flawed writer, and I won't get better if I ignore that. Some people who write fanfiction are absolutely amazing writers, and if they believe that they don't need criticism for their work, then I'm glad that you worked so hard to get there! I just am wired differently. I know a lot of criticism can be seen as hate, and I want to be clear, when I say criticism, I don't mean saying 'this sucks'. I mean an actual look into the work, and pointing out what works, and what doesn't. I would love to get criticism, because it meant my stories were worth thinking about and people think I'm capable of improving.

Anyway I'll focus this post on MXTX authors, because that's the fandom I write in and I want to know what they think specifically

Hello, I'm Ban (they/them), and after four years or so, I find myself again on Tumblr.

I write and translate fanfiction, and I also do cosplay. I've lost count of how many times I've tried to pick up the habit of drawing just to drop it after a while, but anyway, I'm at it once more. As you can see, this time I'm mostly motivated by the author MXTX, whose good old ghost king Hua Cheng lives rent free in my head, but I hope to slowly delve into my other fandoms through this medium as well.
