is terrorism about resisting oppression? is terrorism about demanding your birthright to live safely and peacefully in your homeland? is terrorism about hating the killers of your family, your friends and your people?
accusations of terrorism are often weaponized against those fighting for liberation and sovereignty and dignity. the french settlers called the algerians terrorists. the indian government calls the kashmiris terrorists. the pakistani army calls pashtun activists terrorists. the turkish government calls the kurds terrorists. apartheid south africa called nelson mandela a terrorist. americans called the vietcong and the black panthers terrorists. the israelis call the palestinians terrorists. all oppressive regimes are connected. all oppressed people are connected. injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
Reminder that Uighur Muslims are still being detained in China.
Between 1 and 3 million and the number is growing.
Are being forcibly detained in re-education concentration camps. Where there tortured ( such as sexual abuse and waterboarding), exploited for cheap labour (such as making face masks worn by the public.) Uighur women are mass sterilised and forced to have abortions.
They are being tracked through facial ID, blood and DNA samples with there families abroad pressured to not speak out.
And the justification... Is that it's to stop terrorism and radicalisation. And these camps have been made perfectly legal in China.
This is genocide.
This is ethnic cleansing.
It's disgusting, it's inhumane.
And no one cares to do anything about it, Islamic countries are actually helping them.
Me every time I open up tumblr and spot like 5 new "porn"bots:
Making these posts is not how I want to spend my time. I would much rather focus on Asian American power, joy, resilience, and resistance. No community wants to be defined by the worst things they’ve experienced. This series isn’t a submission to the oppression olympics or a pity party. I want to educate people in order to help connect the dots so we can see how the same kind of racism twists and evolves over time, but hasn’t gone away. Some events you might recognize, like the Chinese Exclusion Act, or Executive Order 9066 which was signed 79 years ago on this day. I hope everyone who reads these simply has a better understanding of Asian American history, and aims to do better now that you know better.

idk man but the idea of cuddling with your partner under a soft blanket on a cold day and having them asleep in your arms while you're quietly playing video games or something just sounds really nice
Hey, so, you guys aren't gonna pay Disney money to watch Captain America: Brave New World, right?
You know, the upcoming MCU movie that features Shira Haas, an openly Zionist actress who served in the IDF, playing Sabra who's a pro-Israel Propaganda, Anti-Palestinian superheroine?
…you see the problem?
A new fundraiser has just been started to help a Sudanese health clinic.
As the rainy season starts, there's an increased risk from diseases like cholera and malaria. This clinic will be the only available health resource for 60,000 households.
The people behind it are very trustworthy, they've already been setting up gofundmes for food and healthcare in other places in Sudan.
I've tried to kick things off and I hope those that can't donate will help boost.
Edit: link to the actual gofundme, d'oh!
