Someone named Jack Latiao/Xu Zhihui, has been stealing and torturing cats for fun. He has even influenced a worldwide online cult dedicated to it. They disguise themselves as 'Cat Lovers' and share videos on their cat abuse websites, as well as in public and private groups on various social media platforms in China. Jack Latiao is trying to come to America to seek political Asylum and threatened his life because of online violence and intimidation in China. You can check @feline_guardians on IG to see the evidence and sign the petitions in their bio. Use the hashtags #SaveCatsInChina and #StopJackLatiao to help spread this message so we can attract bigger entities to get involved and put a stop to this. I've seen way too many videos and "memes" and more of people just, goofing around with dead or half-dead fish. Ethical discussions about live seafood aside - the complete casualness with which people handle dead fish???
The most disturbing one I've seen was probably a guy on a boat putting his own head inside a giant cut-off fish head and wearing it as if it's a hat (and I'm 100% serious about seeing this. Tiktok is a wild place.) Nobody EVER picks up a dead pigeon or roadkill and plays with it like a ragdoll without being seen like a complete madman. Why is fish different? Why are they not seen as alive?
Now, this guy be desensitised to a sight of dead fish after seeing it often, sure. But still - I *really* don't understand how so many people don't really seem to see fish as.. living breathing beings?
Sure we eat some of them, but don't they deserve at least a little bit of respect, at least in death? Nobody is laughing at a whole chicken carcass in a super market, just because it has big glossy eyes (and nobody is displaying whole chickens with a head for sale.. almost as if it's any other animal, it's suddenly to disturbing to be reminded it was once walking around alive).
Why is fish an exception ? Why is it so completely normalised to not see them as animals? To not ever see them as alive?
I'm not vegetarian. To be clear. But I just think smth that gave its life to give me nutrition deserves at LEAST for me to not disrespect its body
When I was young my dad offhandedly told me he thought people treated fish with so much casual cruelty because fish can’t scream.

As an adult I think he may have been joking. He payed no especial attention to any indignities fish suffered in our household but I could never forget. I saw fish in a different light after that.
Fish kept in tiny bowls, breathing their own poisons, dying by inches. Fish kept in cold tanks, casually disposed of. Fish touted as being short lived when they could outlive the better loved family dog if only they could breathe. Fish casually won and discarded in cheap plastic bags, thrown away a week later.
How they would scream, if they could.

Well I want to nurse every animal dead of human negligance, cruelty or ignorance back to health and lead them to a nice place for them. Thats it. Thats what I want. I wanna spend eternity shaping new fins for sharks and healing burns on souls who died in a fire, and play with abandonned cats and dogs who died alone in the streets.

The news paper changed it to pit bull. Those are the shitty folks who are no better than Hilter, Trump or the KKK and every other genocidal shitwads. I was raised to have a gentle heart but fuck you.
Why do we blame the victims every time? They were baited as puppies, for the so fact that their locked jaws are powerful. That’s it. Can you imagine that? You’re physical traits that you were born with will sentence you to death?
My best friends’ pit bull held down a man who broke into my house with the intentions to rape me and possibly murder me. Pits were bred as a protection breed, and protect me she did.

Apparently people have been adopting dogs and either killing them themselves or dropping them to a kill shelter (and one even said they were flying them to poor Asian areas to be eaten) under the Twitter hashtag #pitbulldropoff
This is completely cruel and evil and word needs to get around about these demons so everyone knows what these demons are planning to do to dogs once they get ahold of them.

Just had a breakdown over the song “Laika” by Wil Wagner.
I then looked up things about the real Laika, like how Laika wasn’t even her first name, her name was Kudryavka, or Little Curly. and how one of the scientists admitted to regretting sending her up because they didn’t learn nearly as much as her life cost. She was only 3 when she was sent up and died of overheating because the satellites cooling system failed after either 7 hours or four days. Quote, “Laika, the first animal to be launched into orbit, died from overheating and panic in the tiny spacecraft – all alone and in severe pain.” AND THEY KNEW SHE WOULD DIE! They knew the probability of survival for her was near impossible! She didn’t even have a body to bury because it burnt up as the satellite fell to Earth. Yeah, they didn’t even try to bring her back down. The satellite eventually just fell 5 months later.

Once-ler: *The next morning, Oncie decides to cheer the Warden up with a surprise breakfast activity. Pancake making! He loved it the first time, and he’s been some time since they had a chance to do it again, so maybe a bit of relationship baking will put him in a good mood and remind him how much the Once-ler loves to be with him. He walks into the Superjail kitchen with the Warden following behind him. The cooks have been informed about the Once-ler’s and Warden’s arrival and so are cleaning up their stations. After gesturing for them to hurry up and screw off, he looks into some cupboards and takes out a bowl and ingredients* Righty~ *Smiles at the Warden*
Warden: *Looks like an excited child, biting his lip and bouncing on his heels. He’s had a great day so far, even if he is a little uncomfortable at their dancing around the use of the word ‘love’ earlier.* Great! What do I get to do? *Makes grabby hands for a bowl. He’s done this on his own before-he feels confident that he can do it now.*
Once-ler: Well, do you want to make some together or do you wanna try on your own again?~ *Hands him the bowl and takes another one out.*
Warden: *Blows air through his lips* Pfft. 'Try’? I already did it once! *Takes the bowl gleefully* But just so long as we get to eat them at the end we can do it however you want~ *Prances over to one corner and takes an apron, then prances back, much like he did before going on his date with Hunter.*
Once-ler: Alright. Tell you what- why don’t we have a little race?~ First one to make 5 pancakes each wins? *Grabs an apron himself and puts it on*.
Warden: *Scoffs* No fair! You’ll totally win. *The apron ties itself around him as he returns to the stove.* But fine~ Consider it on!
Once-ler: Awesome!~ *Goes up to his own stove and grabs his bowl* Ready? GO! *Starts pouring ingredients into the bowl and mixing it into a batter. It’s obvious that he’s an expert at this. His whisking is fast and nothing is spilling over the edge. But he never stated any rules.*
