“it’s another culture, be respectful” idgaf 💀 if it’s oppressive to women, it’s a problem, i don’t care if it’s ur customs. girls having to cover themselves, not being allowed to go to school, being violated, not being allowed to be heard, literally being all around disrespected but you expect me to just be cool about it because “it’s culture”.
women do not deserve to be treated as lesser than in the name of anything. idc if it’s your religion, i don’t care if it’s tradition, it’s a bunch of bullshit.
edit: if ur only contribution is reblogging this post to tell ppl i’m a radfem, don’t bother. this is a post about women being abused. if your main takeaway is that the person ur reblogging from might have different views than you, you have some serious growing the fuck up to do.
Plot holes in the bible? What next, the sky is blue?
Oddly enough, certain groups of women do find it beautiful when a man says it to them. Wonder why.
Religion is often this tool, this weapon, of control and crusade, they hold it over you and jab you with it.
I'd never believe in anything if it was not my self, and only if it made sure me, and only me, would hold that control
It wouldn't be a religion at that point, it wouldn't be some theistic faith by some stretch of natural meaning, because it would be an evolution of every rancid and cruel cult classic cults, transformed into a school of thought , of soul
Detached from the proto-colonialisms, invasive human species,
An army of self
and women who support christianity, remember that when you are being spoken to by a man, BE QUIET. and submit to what he says, even if you barely know him. you are not to speak.
women who support islam! I have a question for you: have you ever asked what does your father, brother or other male relatives think about islam? go ask them and respect their answers and adopt these opinions as yours. I think the least you could do is to respect your male relatives like islam teaches us.
He does, what he wants, when he wants, how he wants and the atheist won't accept it, that even in there factual existence He was always aware. God, does, what he wants, when he wants, how he wants Period
i think that non religious people or previous religious people who have never looked into their raised religions properly from a clean mind don't know shit about them, and ive seen that more than once ! and OP proves that too ! im not entirely well versed on christianity so i'll be speaking on islam for the most part.
to preface this i dont consider myself a muslim but i honestly do not consider myself non religious either. whether people like it or not i will pick and choose religion however i like by taking the spiritual and supernatural side of the quran at value such as common practice of duas (act of worship, expressing forgiveness and gratitude to answer our requests) and words of witchcraft and djinn protection being taught in the quran since i grew up with them.
every abrahamic religion has a same set belief but all the beliefs in between are very much different. if you want to be anti religion at least get your facts right, christianity has the father, the son and holy spirit. islam has a set belief that there is only one god and the last prophet is a messenger.
"borrowed methods from the exotic west" at a certain point this becomes more about hating the middle east than it does actually criticizing the male centered ideology, religious centered way of life and intertwined misogyny that dwells within broken middle eastern families and women in houses full of hurt. if this was about that, then you would point out how islamic leaders in middle eastern countries use the paper cut words of islam to control their women, when in the quran it very much states the opposite with the one verse in surah al baqarah 256 "there is no compulsion in religion" the only time that verse is contradicted is when there is times of war. you would speak about how these self proclaimed islamist leaders are driving the christians out of their countries with hate speech, how they turn a blind eye to the countless palestinians suffering. you are allowed to critisize religion but what is the point of that when you're not well read you would also speak about how the rise of independence in woman got driven out of the middle east and why that is such a big problem for the women, especially when they are such big targets.
no stories of the prophets in christianity are the same, like the story of adam in islam blames both adam and eve for eating the fruit from the tree of immortality, god forgiving them both but telling them they will suffer drom their consequences and banishes them to earth with shaytan
do i agree with the fact that the prophet was seen as a pedophile, yes. will i say that she was a 5 year old girl, no. she (aisha ra) was 19 when her marriage was consumated (honestly quite unsettling to me guhdamn) and that is what many islamic scholars do agree on due to the second year of hijrah taking place, however since there is so much confusion between translators and narrators (and the fact that religion has always been up to interpretation) the hadith is usually considered malul (defective) because of so many inconsistencies regarding her age, the hadith is not substantial evidence of her age. and this is also backed by oxford historian joshua little who argues that her age was most likely fabricated for sectarian reasons. you can read that here (you can find a summary on reddit)
anyway if you wanna just call khadija ra his "first wife" and not even use her name, (she was so much more than just a wife) then of course you wouldn't realise that she was an extremely successful business woman managing caravan trade that she inherited from her father and ex husband and is often referred to as the mother of believers. the woman of islam are so powerful and should be viewed as such instead of people constantly focusing on the men of the religion and their impacts.
saying that the revelation that was shown to the prophet was the final chapter of christianity really shows that you have no idea about how both christianity and islam really came about and how they both differ greatly yet also interlink (shocker! this applies to every single abrahamic religion too! not one is original at all)
i dont particularly agree with religion because it contradicts itself all the time. fights misogyny with enabling misogyny ! amazing. that goes for every damn abrahamic religion,, but also contradicts itself by giving women rights and then taking another right away from them as an act of disipline (however i do like the fact that rapists are to be killed yeah i agree with that)
if you are anti religious without bias, act like it. hate on it with fact, instead of biased words. a very dear family member of mine is deeply muslim and she veils fully too simply because its a choice of hers, what i will not do is tell her that she follows a phony religion and that her veiling is rooted in misogyny and that she should leave something that she has found so much solace and peace in. shes a huge feminist and has no plans of getting married at all. in her own words "i will praise god, never a man." because yes, religion is a form of free will.
following this, what you should be trying to do is give those women who *dont* have a choice in veiling, a choice. these women should have active people they can go to for support in getting that choice, however these women fall short of that because of people like you, and the religious people who believe a choice is not there. the more these islamic leaders see that people have hate rhetoric to the people of islam, the more they will try to "protect" their women in a way they do best, submission in veil and silence of population. i have lived it i know. the other side of the coin are the people (mainly men) who force religion on the population that does not want it, due to the notion that the west is a threat (gee i wonder where that came from) these things fall more hand in hand than someone thinks. ur priority should be protecting these women and not fueling anti religious agendas that will further damage those woman that you swear you want to protect.
I speak a lot about how ironic it is that Christians that hate Islam want to be taken seriously for their faith, but I don’t think the average person understands how deep this irony goes.
For those not well read in both faiths, Islam is a nearly 99% identical copy of Christianity. Moses is Musa, Abraham is Ibrahim. Gabriel is Jibreel, Adam and Eve is Adam and Hawa. Joseph is Yousef, Job is Ayub. Ishmael is Ismael, Isaac is Ishaaq.
Same prophets, almost the exact same stories and canon. Muhammad was an illiterate shady businessman who saw Christianity for what it was, a way to control women and shut down critical thought. He aspired to be a pedophile warlord and borrowed methods from the exotic west to fulfill his goals.
His first wife was older than him. His last was a 6 year old. As he gained power through conquest after conquest, and had his “miraculous visions” of verses being revealed to him, no one could tell that nearly every line he spoke was a stuttering copy of a faith already popular in a far away land. His fellow traveling merchants could, and he was a laughingstock to them. His first scribe could and was banished for noticing his obvious plagiarism…He eventually had to switch gears and market Islam as a “final chapter” of Christianity.
So anyway, that’s why I find interfaith arguments darkly hilarious.
It's just a cult of guilt for women, for merely EXISTING Women are punished for what men claim are Eve's sins
I think religion is the worst thing ever invented. I know it's made just to stroke the male ego and nothing else. It always put down women, like being seen as just servants for men, seen as "filthy" and "sexual" that needs to be fully covered, and be seen as dogs that need to obey.
And I hate that it's forced onto kids that didn't asked to be a part of it. All it did for me was made me feel like shit and hate myself for not being "perfect" and "in God's image" or whatever the fuck. It made me hate my body, it made me feel really bad anxiety and paranoid as a little kid because of the idea of Hell, and because of this bad anxiety and paranoia of worrying about doing anything that might send me to hell, it basically ruined my life.
It's hard to completely disassociate from it when it was forced onto you from an extremely young age...
LITERALLY
These religions just exist to break you and build you up in the way that they want. They're just so... out there. Like, the most weird black and white thought.
And how the fuck is God gonna save you from HIMSELF??? Literal abuser rhetoric. Not to sound like an athiest neckbeard but it really does have all the traits of a cult.
I don't think people understand just how cruel the Abrahamic God IS according to believers.
According to each Holy Book, God created humans, giving them freewill and skepticism and no solid proof of him, so everyone has a different idea of him, and everyone who chooses the wrong belief gets tortured for eternity. And then this is considered… a blessing? This would be the majority of people. According to these books, he's torturing billions of souls for not sucking his dick. How insane. According to Christians and Muslims, their God would be more cruel to Jews and gay people than Hitler. Judaism is slightly better in that it doesn't even consider the Goyim as humans, so they aren't tortured and just go out of existence. I don't understand how believers in these religions can have somewhat normal morality and act normal around nonbelievers but then love a being like that. What about that feels you with love and light? Oh yeah, and what's even more insane is considering these religions peaceful and religions of love. I can't think of something more hateful than these religions. How much more hateful can you get exactly? Even Heaven is arguably bad too. In Christianity and Judaism, it's just constant worship of this genocidal grotesque God and you're a "sinless" shell of a human. That sounds like psychological torture to anyone who isn't absolutely batshit. In Islam, Heaven is basically nothing substantial for women, and for men, it's an eternity of cheating on your wife with 72 virgins who have no soul of their own. How can anyone hear these things and not have their skin absolutely crawl?
I would prefer Satan, I would say Satan is better for the sole virtue of rebelling against something so fucked up. Although I would say he's equal considered he only wanted to replace God out of his own ego. But, Satan is not the one who owns Hell, he's another soul being tortured there, God owns everything and chooses to cause suffering. How can an all forgiving Father cause his children to feel pain for eternity for something as small as disobeying him. Even the most abusive fathers in the world have not achieved that level of cruelty (although arguably the absolute worst ones would if they could, regardless, what a horrible metric). And apparently child rape is forgivable in the eyes of God and equal to the "sin" of masturbating, but simply refusing to believe? That's what gets you tortured forever? I'm not sure if a human being that reach that level of narcissism, but a supposedly self-sacrificing loving God according to Christianity can. The self-sacrifice wasn't even an actual sacrifice, he just supposedly got humans to kill an incarnation of him. What the hell is the point of that? According to the Bible, God also decided to get a 13 year old pregnant. He could have impregnated any virgin woman in the world begin God and all, but people want to believe it was a child. Jesus's teen mother is also one of the only significant female figures in Christianity and women supposedly came from a mans rib and then the rib-woman clone and the man created all humans through like 2000 generations of incest. Anything but admit that we're just a species of animal and we're more connected to rest of the Earth than they want to believe right? The misogyny of these religions creep into every page. Males couldn't accept that women in reality are the creators of life, so they had to make up this weird shit.
And sure, morality, is relative maybe. If we want to argue that. But these same people would be absolutely terrified of actually meeting a being like that. Horror books touch on it but rarely even meet that level of cruel. Maybe it's hard to conceptualize what torture for eternity means exactly or how insane it is for that to be a punishment for a belief, but I think you can fucking guess?
But it's the Buddhists, Hindus, pagans, witches, atheists, who are barbaric. Right.

and this question is meant sincerely. what could this panther do to be more “feminine”? how many octaves does she have to raise her roar for you to hear her as a female? does it matter when she’s chasing you at full speed?
is she less violent with less melanated fur or skin? is she more violent the darker she is? does it change her existence as a female panther? does it change how she scales a tree in search of prey? does it change her love for her cubs, or the way she loved her mother when she was a cub? does it change the sharpness of her canines?
do you look at her and see her as a female? or do you see her as a panther first, with her femaleness being secondary?
why would a human female be stereotyped the instant she’s perceived? why does her skin correlate to violence or docility? why is she female before she is human? why is her existence inherently sexual, inherently meant for consumption?
it doesn’t have to be this way.
Villains: Eternity (Ramsey Rossmo)
In an attempt to travel back in time to visit his dead wife, Dr. Ramsey Rossmo uses an experimental time machine to relive his happy years with her. Unfortunately, he winds up finding out that him traveling back in time is the reason why his wife died. While trying to adjust history to fix his mistake, his machine malfunctions and sends him back to the beginning of the universe, wherein he was frozen in stasis, just watching time pass him by. He couldn’t go forward to when he was born, nor back before he got caught in stasis. All he could do was watch time pass him by. He saw the birth of the first organism, the first fish to crawl onto dry land, the first homosapien walk on two legs, the first decipherable language spoken, the first war, the first civilization, and everything that led up to where everyone was in the future. During his time in stasis, he realized that there was no god, and he came to the conclusion that every religious war was completely pointless. He finally fell out of stasis when he caught up to his time period, that being 2179. After coming out of stasis, he claimed to be a time god, and that he was here to prove that all of our petty squabbling over religious beliefs were all for nothing. He then gained a massive amount of followers, and they proceeded to lay siege to all of Harking City’s religious institutes, burning down every church and religious gathering. After they massacred an entire hate church full of Neo-Nazis, his “Religion of Eternity” gained a massive cult following. They even beheaded the Archdeacon of the Christian Church, and hung all of the priests from the roof. They were eventually stopped by Bonfire, who was an Atheist, too.
