I don't know if anyone noticed this yet but Mariner was the furthest away from the portal when Boimler was pulled in but out of all of them she was the first to actually get to the portal.
Really enjoying Lower Decks season 5 so far. Love that personal space between these two are exponentially decreasing. 😏
The second image was whipped up in a hurry because discord was worried whether Mariner was alright.
yeah lower decks put a decon scene on my screen and my dormant entheadism reactivated like the winter soldier. sorry.
+ closeups!
"Are you drunk?"
"Yeah, dude! You should be too!"
I love that Mariner's ideal mentor is Janeway. She is my people.
Two years ago, the first episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks had aired, and the world was introduced to the charming bunch of plucky ensigns of the USS Cerritos.
To celebrate this occasion and the upcoming crossover with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, here's a little comic—based on a script by CEO of Star Trek and a sketch I made, brought to life by the amazing talent of @serial02721—that revisits one of the show's most iconic scenes. We'd like to thank Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid for the work they put into their characters, Mike McMahan for being the creative mind behind the show, Dave Ihlenfeld for writing this beautiful scene, and the rest of the cast and crew for giving us this awesome cartoon!
So this finale was great, and boy i wish i could tell you but i don't want to ruin your expectations so here's me a gif telling you to pretend things are not happening and below that are memes related to the finale (DON"T READ THEM IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE FINALE).
Marinler shippers after there's no chemistry from both Boimler and Mariner in the finale:
Tendiford shippers after both Tendi and Rutherford didn't kiss or admit they have feelings:
Bisexual fans after seeing Mariner and Jennifer respecting each other:
Also if i offended you or anything, i'm really sorry for what i've done.
A Miranda is OP when it is controlled by a superhuman and a disobeying ensign
- You’ll never escape! - Right?! Oh, wait, you’re talking about the detention centre? Come on, I’m, like, practically escaped already, read the room.
Star Trek: Lower Decks “Strange Energies”
Spoilers for Lower Decks S2E1
So in the cold open, Mariner is basically arguing with a hologram version of Boimler, she said that she's angry at him for leaving her without saying goodbye.
So she basically is happy for Boimler leaving to fulfill his dreams of rising to the ranks but is outright angry at him for leaving without saying goodbye.
What do you think would happened if Boimler came to Mariner to say goodbye? i literally have two scenarios.
Scenario 1: typical friends saying goodbye.
Scenario 2: Mariner admitting her feelings to Boimler before leaving to the Titan.
Obligatory SNW x Lower Decks crossover rewatch after having finished Lower Decks :D
The Lower Decks behind the scenes video on Paramount's YT with Mariner's and Boimler's VAs and Mike McMahan is hilarious wth😭 This is a bts video and they pull out COMEDY GOLD
What do you mean "that time we met ourselves in a cave and we thought they were us from the future and then it turned out they were aliens and then it turned out they were actually us"?? I wanna WATCH that kind of episode
it's similar to them going "Oh yeah, remember when we swapped bodies? That was total chaos" WHAT DO YOU MEAN; THAT'S EXACTLY THE KIND OF STUFF I WANNA WATCH AND YOU'RE JUST MENTIONING IT ON THE SIDELINES??😭/lh
Nurse Anise Freeman, auntie to Alonzo Freeman. Read her bio here:
I may be stressing my hair out but also, Lower Decks is just as great as people said it was. Extra points for being 'adult' but not in an edgy grimdark way just beeped over swearing and cartoon violence.
It's a modern Trek with things to say and new point of view. Likeable characters, good writing, good pacing, beyond ridiculous but still poignant and so fucking *fun*.
doodle of them if you will
fave queer characters + Beckett Mariner, Lower Decks
You know me, man. I'm a wild rogue living on the edge of chaos. I sit weird in chairs. You can't predict me.
STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS 2.03 We’ll Always Have Tom Paris
Mariner does this at least ten times a week, or however often Boimler loses his communicator, whichever is more

Those Old Scientists
Lesser Dog has gone where no Dog has gone before.
[Comic script: Panel 1: Tendi (as she pets lesser dog’s ever extending neck): Aww you're such a good guard dog! Yes you are! Panel 2: Boimler: Uhhh..do you think it's neck is supposed to do that? Mariner: Ehh, we've seen a dog do weirder.]
