Y'know when stevonnie appears, my humanity restored.
I feel like bismuth is determined and stubborn enough to go against the gems and return to homeworld anyway and try to kill off the remaining diamonds.(Just look, she almost killed Steven ,an ally, in a fit of rage over him not agreeing with her). The gems KNOW bismuth and that her running off was definitely a possibility which is why they don't want to risk her harming herself or others by leaving her unbubbled. Also, you have to question why she was bubbled the first time around. Clearly the other CG's didn't know she was bubbled or where she'd went. Only Rose knew what happened and to me, for Rose to do something as drastic as bubbling her friend and not telling any one else speaks volumes of how dangerous/unpredictable Bismuth can be.

Why Snowflake Obsidian will probably be a main/recurring character
Earlier this year, a member of the @stevencrewniverse accidentally leaked a turnaround/model sheet of Snowflake obsidian. From what I have seen, it seems likely that they will feature critically in the upcoming season of Steven Universe. Here is a list of reasons why:
An official model sheet. This may not seem like much, as even background characters have model sheets, but it was published on a blog with other important character's model sheets ( I.e. Holly blue's, emerald's).
Numerous appearances. Snowflake appears in Change Your Mind, but also features in Steven Universe: the Movie. She has been close on the camera angle both times.
Proximity to Bismuth. She is one of bismuth's friends, and as such we should at least see some interaction between the two.
Anyway, I could be wrong but I think it is probably an interesting thing to consider.

Bismuth is one of the weirdest-looking elements on the Periodic Table, but its internal properties just got even stranger. Scientists have discovered that at a fraction of a degree above absolute zero (-273.15°C), bismuth becomes a superconductor - a material that can conduct electricity without resistance.
According to the current theory of superconductivity, that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, because for 40 years now, scientists have assumed that superconducting materials must be abundant in free-flowing mobile electrons. But in bismuth, there’s just one mobile electron for every 100,000 atoms.
“In general, compounds that exhibit superconductivity have roughly one mobile electron per atom,” Srinivasan Ramakrishnan from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in India explained to Chemistry World.
“However, in bismuth, one mobile electron is shared by 100,000 atoms – since [the] carrier density is so small, people did not believe bismuth will superconduct.”
