Maybe where they reunite for the first time after Missy’s death and admit they both still love each other despite the regeneration?”

I accidentally deleted the original request, so this is my copy.

But I finally got this fic posted in time for this year’s Hunter’s Moon! I was stressing myself over editing this fic again.

I really hope that you enjoy this fic :) I had a lot of fun writing it and I may or may not have cried while writing it. But yeah, i just hope that you like this!

Dhawan!Master x Reader - Previous Gomez!Master x Reader

Summary - On the anniversary of Missy’s death, you go to a nearby cemetery in order to remember and honour Missy in some way. However, you keep running into a random man throughout the day who seems determined to talk to you.

Based On This Request - Anonymous said - “Recently read “Did You Miss Me?” on your old blog, honestly amazing. If you’re open to it, may I request a similar scenario between Dhawan!Master x Reader? Maybe where they reunite for the first time after Missy’s death and admit they both still love each other despite the regeneration?”

Warnings - canon typical violence, references to season 10, descriptions of character death, romantic loss, sadness/depression, let me know if I missed anything and I will add it

Word Count - 4593

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader (but is referenced to own and be comfortable with wearing makeup). Requested by this lovely anon! Use of Y/n. Proofread but not beta read. I hope that you enjoy this! :)

This is loosely inspired by Hunter’s Moon by Ghost, primarily the second verse and just other Ghost songs and their vibe because I am obsessed with them.

Also, I’m sorry that this took so long. I was not having a great past couple of years. But I really appreciate the love for my old series(which I am slowly rewriting) and thank you so much for this request! I really hope that you enjoy this! :)

--------------------------------------------------------------

You felt like you were being watched. You had been feeling this way for a while now, at least for the past couple of months. You just chalked it up to a bout of heightened anxiety, however, due to the camera-filled and 24/7 news cycle-filled world that you now reluctantly called home. Life was so much simpler on The Master’s TARDIS.

It was ironic that her space was so calming given the nature of The Master and her chaotic lifestyle, but Missy’s ship was. The previous life and relationship you had with her always quelled any latent anxiety you felt about your home planet and people. Your life, alone on Earth, without The Master could never compare to the time you spent with her. Without Missy, you only became more aware of how miserable Earth could be at times. And despite her disdain for the majority of Humanity, you could tolerate your people more effortlessly with Missy’s help than you ever could manage without her presence in your life. She helped you with so much, but now she was gone forever.

You never properly entertained the thought that you were actually being followed, but as Missy had told you often, you were naively unaware of your ability to attract curious eyes. Missy had meant that as a compliment, despite the ominous tone. That is how she became fascinated with you, after all; by observing your quirks and interests from afar until she finally made herself known to you. You were simply just anxious without Missy. Simply anxious about being in a messy world without your person to help you sort out the mess. You weren’t actually being followed, right? The Doctor, even though you weren’t close, would step in, wouldn’t she? Especially after what happened to The Master and how the news affected you, right? You were just anxious, is all.

But if you were being followed, it wouldn’t be Missy playing a little trick on you. It couldn’t be her. She’s gone and she would never be coming back for you. The likelihood is that either your imagination was getting to you, or an enemy of either The Doctor or The Master was out to get you. Or it was just some random human being a creep. But it definitely wasn’t Missy. She died: that’s what The Doctor told you. Missy died alone and without you there to save or comfort her. And you knew The Doctor wasn’t lying about the fact that Missy was gone forever because she would have come to reunite herself with you if she was alive. But again, Missy died. You had to keep reminding yourself of that fact: Missy is dead. She’s gone. She’s never coming to save you. Ever again.

Today was the anniversary of when the newly regenerated Doctor informed you of the tragic news that Missy had died. The sentimentalist in you needed to mourn today, however, your plans to celebrate Missy’s memory added to your anxiety. You needed to honour Missy for yourself, but what if there was someone out there in your town, or the world, or the universe trying to get you? Today would be the perfect opportunity for an enemy to hurt you when you were already emotional and susceptible.

Eventually, though, you did convince yourself to leave your apartment. Today was for Missy, after all, not you. When the date caught your attention a couple of weeks ago, the first step of your plan was to go to Missy’s old Human job from when you first met. You would be torturing yourself by doing this, but you needed to purchase two bouquets of flowers. After purchasing your mournful bounty, you would walk to the nearest cemetery. Then, at the cemetery, you would leave one bouquet in remembrance of your beloved Master while taking the other bouquet home with you to memorialise Missy there as well. You even considered preserving it so you could have an idol of memories for longer.

Looking back on your history with The Master, it was probably an incredibly bleak omen for your relationship with her, but during Missy’s lunch breaks and on your travels home from work, the two of you would stride through the little parklike cemetery just around the corner from the shopping centre. Both of you would always be incredibly surprised by how beautiful the cemetery was; there was an assortment of trees that would offer ample shade to the gravestones and there was a winding cobblestone path fenced by flowers throughout. There was also a tall, cleanly cut hedge that bordered the whole property, alongside the iron gates delicately surrounding the cemetery.

Missy genuinely loved that little cemetery. Before you knew that she was an alien, she would often say that this cemetery was the most beautiful thing on Earth, other than you. You always asked her how she could possibly know every place on the planet, to which she would only wink at you teasingly. After discovering her true nature, her statement made more sense but you still wondered why this cemetery was so special to Missy. She could travel anywhere she wished, in all time and space. It never failed to shock you that The Master, the infamous rogue Gallifreyian, would treasure such a simple place. So where else you would go to mournfully celebrate her beautifully chaotic life? In your mind, there was no other option.

When you walked toward the small town shopping centre where Missy cemented her Human facade, you wrapped your coat tighter around your torso. You were cold, yes, but you needed something to hold onto to brave all of the resurfacing memories. You sighed deeply when you entered the shop and then briskly moved to the shop's mediocre selection of flowers without looking up from your feet.

The flower options and pre-arranged bouquets always looked more expensive and put together, even well into the winter, when Missy was working here. All of the bouquets she gave you were of the best quality.

“Never less than the best for you, my love,” Missy would always respond with this line when you complained that you didn’t need anything fancy.

Missy might have lied about buying flowers from this little shop, now that you thought about it. But you would rather choose to believe that Missy manipulated her “superiors” into buying and displaying more expensive bouquets and flowers to enhance the reputation of the place rather than her lying to you.

“Excuse me?” A voice sounded to your side, tearing you away from your thoughts of Missy. You turned sharply to the person trying to get your attention. He was a man a couple of inches taller than Missy with mesmerising dark amber, mixed with coffee and chocolate, eyes that were filled with care. He was wearing a button-down, slacks, and a heavy-looking deep purple coat, which seemed a bit out of place given the weather hadn’t turned properly cold yet. Maybe the man just ran cold?

“I think you dropped this.” The man held out a case of lipstick, intending to return it to you. You were shocked, still disoriented from being ripped out of your thoughts. You accepted the lipstick with a curt ‘thank you’, ignoring the jolt of electricity that passed through you when your hand accidentally brushed against the stranger’s fingers.

You immediately turned back to the display of bouquets before you, gripping the case of lipstick tightly in your hand. You had assumed that the man had left to either look around the shop or to leave, but to your horror, he continued to stand beside you. He returned your item. So, why hadn't he left yet? You just wanted him to leave your side. You didn’t want to interact with anyone more than you had to today. Today was too horrible for you to pretend to be friendly with strangers.

“Looking for anything specific?” The man asked after an agonising silence from the two of you just standing side by side in front of the flower display. He didn’t sound creepy like many people, usually men, sounded in situations like this, making you believe that he was actually curious. Even if he had good intentions, that didn’t dissolve your desire to be left alone, but you tried to be as nice as you could today.

“Something respectful. Not gaudy or obnoxiously and obviously meant to be gifted as an attempt to woo a Tinder match on a first date.”

“So like, cemetery flowers?” You whipped your head back to look at the stranger because of that question. Could he see your plan on your face or in your posture?  How could he tell what your intentions were? The stranger shrugged his shoulders, almost as if he heard your thoughts.

“Yes, cemetery flowers.”

“These are quite smart. Whoever you are planning on visiting would love to have these on their grave.” The man plucked a bouquet wrapped in dark red wrapping from the shelf. The bouquet consisted primarily of fresh crimson roses and red salvia, with sprigs of baby’s breath and forget-me-nots to round out the assortment. When they were in shadow, the roses practically looked like dried blood, which thanks to Missy you knew what that looked like a bit too well.

You paused, sucked in a breath, shocked by the man’s forward nature. Then you quickly grabbed the flowers, shoved the lipstick into your coat pocket and moved to purchase the bouquet without another word being given to the stranger. You hoped that the man would have left the store by the time you had finished purchasing the flowers, however, he stopped you once again by the exit of the shop.

“I hope you have a good time at the cemetery.” He said, smiling, as if this was an everyday occurrence, but, like before, you didn’t respond. You rushed out of the shop so overcome with a torrent of emotions. You just needed to get out of there. You didn’t even realise until you were far away from the shops and the stranger that you failed to choose a second bouquet for yourself. You hoped that the second bouquet would be one similar to the ones Missy would gift to you, but because of that strange man part of your plan for the day was ruined. You would have to go back to the shops tomorrow.

Eventually, you slowed to a meditative walking pace on your way to the cemetery. After many deep breaths, you managed to decrease and steady your erratic breath and rapid heart rate. You tried to forget your interaction with the stranger and just refocus your mind on Missy: the good, the bad, the happy and the sad, all of your time with her. You just wanted to be surrounded by the memory of your lover, in general, but also to remember her existence in the most reverent way possible. Even though the weight of her memory was a heavy burden to carry, you had to do this for her.

Halfway to the cemetery, the moon emerged from its hiding spot behind a cloud. It was still light out, but the full specialness of the day became apparent to you. The orangy-red hue of the night’s Hunter’s Moon was soft but you imagined that it would darken and grow deeper in tone the longer it hung in the evening air into the night. Apparently, even your solar system wanted to help you mourn the loss of Missy.

Along with cemeteries, Missy loved abnormal moons. She would always drag you out of your apartment or plead with you to retrieve her from The Vault in a basement at St. Luke’s University so the two of you could go stargazing, or moongazing as it were. She loved Hunter’s Moons in particular, both because of the season they appeared in, but also because of the eerie atmosphere.

You finally entered the cemetery through the tall and squeaky black gates that enclosed the cemetery just as it was beginning to grow dark outside. After walking along the pathway for a few minutes, you saw the familiar bench where you and Missy would always sit.

Once you took a seat on the bench, you looked around the large, enclosed, cemetery. It had been a little over a year since you had been here last and you realised how much you missed this place. It truly was beautiful, in the gloomy and bittersweet way that many cemeteries were, but beautiful nonetheless.

You wished that you could have something tangible to remember Missy’s death and life. A trinket or object of Missy’s that would now be yours. Like all of the families that had loved ones buried in this place, they had something more tangible than you did. You wanted what they had. Even though death is never easy, their situations were easier to comprehend than yours. Missy died on a spaceship in the future galaxies away from Earth. You had nothing left of her and it felt as if nothing ever happened because of it.

Suddenly, you remembered the lipstick that the stranger had returned to you. You removed it from the pocket you had hidden it in in the rush of everything. You stared at the lipstick, curiously. The item definitely wasn’t yours. It looked like the one Missy would always use. But how could the stranger have this? Was Missy’s lipstick in your coat pocket this entire time? That didn’t make sense. You had worn this coat before and the lipstick wasn’t in any of the pockets. Not to mention the fact that Missy never went anywhere without her lipstick. It was unlikely that she would ever ask you to carry it for her.

You stared at the lipstick in your palm and reminisced about a random night when Missy was trapped on Earth. It was the night of a Hunter’s Moon, just like the one you sat under tonight. The Doctor graciously allowed Missy to leave The Vault for a night so the two of you could celebrate your anniversary.

The two of you went to a fancy restaurant that was far too expensive for you, but Missy took care of the bill as it was meaningless. Given her motto, any expense might have been excusable to The Master if you were the one asking for or needing something. After your meal, you somehow convinced Missy to go to a club. You bribed her by stating that she had never been to a Human club before. So why not go to one with you? Finally, the two of you drunkenly stumbled through your favourite cemetery under the light of the blood-orange moon while sharing a bottle of Asgardian mead that Missy had apparently stolen from the halls of Valhalla. At the time, you didn’t know whether or not to believe her because of how drunk she was, she easily could have been exaggerating. You later asked The Doctor about her story and to your delight, and The Doctor’s embarrassment, the story was real and unembellished.

You and Missy had briefly stopped at the bench you were now sitting on. You probably wouldn’t have recognised the bench after your drunken night out except for the fact that Missy carved your and her names onto the arm of the bench. Your names were intertwined in typical Gallifreyian marriage writing, where the names are entwined together to signify the bond between those in the relationship.

Despite the momentary rest, you had to beg Missy to return to The Vault that day because you were cold and your feet hurt. Missy never wanted that night to end but you promised to cuddle her for at least two hours before leaving for your apartment. You wished that you could stay, but The Doctor hadn’t allowed you to stay the night in The Vault.

After much convincing, your stubborn alien lover eventually agreed to your deal. Before leaving the cemetery though, Missy reapplied her lipstick and then kissed you all over your face and neck. You had to return Missy to The Vault in that state, much to The Doctor’s disgust. It was a great memory and a great day that you wished you could replicate with Missy. It saddened you to no end that you would never be able to do that, though. The Master was dead.

“May I sit here?” The voice of a man broke you out of your haze. No, not any man, the man. The stranger from the little shop that Missy used to work at was standing beside the empty seat on the bench.

“Did you follow me?” You shot back, angrier than you intended because he tore you away from Missy again. But this was all just too strange to not be angry about.

“Would a normal person follow a stranger into a cemetery?”

“No, but whoever said that you were a normal person?”

“What’s the fun in being normal?” The man crossed his arms with a smirk. You turned away in order to hide your slight smile. He was fun, you had to give him that, even though it upset you to admit this.

“People might trust you more.” You said after you regained your composure.

“The only person I want to trust me is you.” Again, you were shocked by the man and his forwardness, which appeared to be becoming a regular occurrence.

“Are you chatting me up in a cemetery?”

“Is it working?” The man’s smirk grew confidently and part of you just couldn’t resist his smile. You sighed defeatedly. You scooted over a bit on the bench to be closer to the carved arm and to allow enough space for the stranger to sit comfortably. You looked up to the moon as the man sat down. The Hunter’s Moon was now a deep orange with tones of red around the edges. There was another strange silence haunting the air between the two of you, until the man ruined it. You were starting to become used to this stranger’s habit of randomly breaking silences.

“Are you here for someone?” He sounded kinder, softer, than he did what asking you questions at the shop.

“You ask a lot of questions.”

“That’s because you’re interesting.” The man bumped your shoulder with his. You hummed sceptically. This man, though intriguing, was like no person you ever met. He didn’t seem to care about social norms or what society deemed to be acceptable. Who else would flirt in a cemetery? Well, Missy would, but she was an alien.

“I’m kind of here for someone, yes. Their body isn’t here, but I like coming here, or any other cemetery really, to remember my person. I haven’t been to this cemetery in a while though, memories and all that, but I knew that I needed to be here tonight. What about you?”

“Yes, I’m here for someone, too.”

“I’m sorry.” You meant this genuinely. You didn’t know the man beside you and he had a propensity for behaving in an unorthodox manner, but he was still a person. You knew how hard it was to lose someone and you would never want to belittle someone’s grief. You locked eyes with this stranger for the first time since the moment in the little shop and held his gaze. You found it to be bizarre to feel so connected to a stranger but here you were talking to this man about Missy. You barely even talked about her to your best friends.

“There is no need for you to apologise, love. You weren’t the one to rip me away from the person I care about the most.” He bumped your shoulder again. Given the fact that you were facing each other now, you couldn’t take the intensity of being so close to the man. So, you looked away, flustered.

“Wow, I never thought I would have so much in common with a stranger in a cemetery.” You joked. You leaned over the arm of the bench slightly to move away from the man. You didn’t want to disgrace The Master’s memory in any way; it would be best to keep this stranger at a distance. To comfort yourself, you ran your hand over the carving Missy made, trying to commit the pattern to your mind to the best of your ability.

“You never know, you could meet the love of your life anywhere. A little shop, for instance.” The man still sounded positive despite your slightly uncomfortable demeanour. You liked this man, but you were worried that you were disrespecting Missy by even entertaining the idea of seeing someone else. How could you even be with someone else after The Master?

“Yeah, a little shop meet cute …” You traced the carving again absentmindedly while staring at the moon and the clouds passing over it. But the man once again distracted you from your sadness, though it wasn’t because of something he said like the many, many times before. Instead, the stranger pulled out a pocket watch that looked suspiciously too familiar.

“Where did you get that?” You grabbed the man’s wrist and pulled his hand, and inadvertently him, closer to you in order to inspect the watch. It was old, properly old, not just decorated to look like an antique. It looked identical to The Master’s watch.

“Oh this, I’ve always had it. Since I was a child, an orphan, abandoned, found in the storm.” Missy had told you stories about her past, one of which was when she, he then, had been hiding in a Human form at the end of the Universe. You turned the watch over in the man’s hand and saw the circular Gallifreyian carved into the back of the object. You tentatively ran your finger over the writing, tears threatening to spill from your eyes.

“This is not possible.” You croaked, still looking at the watch in the man’s steady hand. How could the man beside you have Missy’s watch? Unless they survived. Unless she regenerated. But The Doctor said they died. She was certain that they died and would not be returning. Could The Master really be alive?

“Y/n, love, anything is possible.” The man whispered in your ear as you felt him move and place his arm around your back. He softly rubbed circles on your back but you didn’t feel it. You felt like your world was spinning and nothing was certain any more.

“It’s not you. It can’t be.” You shook your head. This couldn’t be possible. Your grip on the man’s watch and hand tightened when you finally looked up at him, scared. When you looked into his eyes, that’s when you began crying. He looked so worried for you, but there was hope and love laced into the look he gave you. You shook your head, still not convinced that The Master was really stilling beside you, holding you. But The Master nodded and smiled.

“It’s really me, darling. I swear on lipstick and Asgardian mead. Nothing in this Universe, any Universe, could ever keep me away from you.” The Master wanted to wipe your tears from your face, but before he could you jumped into The Master’s arms and practically knocked him over into the other arm of the bench due to the force of your hug.

“Master, is it really you?” You asked into his shoulder, not able to control the crazy mix of joy and sadness you felt.

“Of course it’s me, darling. You didn’t really think that I would just leave you on this miserable planet alone, did you?” The Master caressed the back of your head and every so often placed a kiss on the side of your face.

“But how? The Doctor said -” You shoved yourself away from The Master wanting a clear answer, but he cut off your excited questioning.

“The Doctor is often wrong, especially about me.” The Master smiled and winked at you triumphantly. You let out an ecstatic noise that you had never made before in your life and hurled yourself into The Master for another bruising hug.

“Can we go home now?” You mumbled into The Master’s purple coat.

“We?” The Master asked hesitantly.

“Yes, why not we?” You pulled back from The Master again with a worried look written on your face. You couldn’t help but be a bit worried after everything. The Master had just returned to you, you didn’t want to lose him again so soon.

“You aren’t bothered by my new form?” The Master questioned while gesturing to himself.

“No, you’re still The Master. You’re still my Master.” The Master smirked before leaning close to you. He cupped your face in his hands and pressed a kiss to your forehead.

“I knew that I loved you for a reason.”

“I love you so much. And I’ve missed you so much, Master.”

“Well, no more missing me. We are together now and nothing is going to rip me away from you ever again, and you are right, we should go home. It has been far, far, too long.” The Master removed himself from your arms and stood from the bench. He held his hand out for you, wiggling his fingers enthusiastically. You gladly accepted his offer and then proceeded to interlock your fingers.

“Before we get to my TARDIS, I should warn you that the ship looks quite different to how you will remember it.” The Master informed you as the two of you walked down the cobblestone path toward the gates of the cemetery.

“That’s okay.” You said into The Master’s shoulder as you braced your body against his to withstand the massive gust of wind that blew through the gates of the cemetery. The rest of autumn appeared like it was going to be a cold one.

“Really? You’re comfortable with everything being so different. I thought that you would be having a more difficult time with this.” The Master shed his coat and placed it around your shoulders.

“Change is easier with you, Master. And I would rather have you in my life in a different form than not in my life at all.” You cuddled into the rouge alien’s coat. He, like his previous regeneration, smelled of smoke and whiskey. Missy also smelled like cranberries, whereas this new regeneration of The Master slightly smelled like cinnamon in combination with the whiskey and smoke.

“My previous regeneration would have made fun of your sentimentality, but this regeneration loves the attention.”

“Good! There is a year’s worth of affection that you missed out on.”

When the two of you reached the door of The TARDIS, which now appeared as a large home rather than Missy’s preferred look of a wardrobe, The Master stopped you and caressed a hand down your face. His eyes, though very different than Missy’s, displayed the same devotion and love for you. Things change, but at the same time, everything stays. The Master was still your Master, just in a different package. And you still loved them, no matter what they looked like.

The Master finally leant forward and captured your lips in a passionate kiss filled with all the love and longing he held for you, as the night’s Hunter’s Moon cast a warm glow upon the two of you. There will be so much adjustment ahead of you both, but you know that you will be able to succeed and overcome the difficulties to come as long as you and The Master are together.

Ghost's Autumnal Bash 2024

General Autumnal Bash Info

This bash will take place from October to November.

I will be posting fics every Monday and Friday, along with some Holidays and planned special days(like the 17th of October due to the Hunter’s Moon appearing that night).

If I miss a posting day I will either post on Saturday or the next closest posting day.

And sleepover questions will be posted on Saturdays.

Frightful Fic Info

When requesting you can either be specific or vague. Just please remember to state what prompt you are requesting.

I gave brief descriptions of the prompt, but this Autumnal Bash is meant to be chill and fun.

So if you have any ideas relating to the prompt that I haven’t listed, I will happily accept that.

For example, the prompt Skull involves candy. I didn’t list trick or treating in the brief description so as to not make it confusing with the Trick or Treat prompt. But if you want to specify a trick or treating fic under the Skull prompt, that counts :)

If a prompt doesn’t match the description, I’ll try to reach out to you, if possible, and get something worked out with your fic(s) so you get something that you will enjoy reading.

But you can also be vague: just requesting a prompt and allowing me to choose a character and a setting that I think connects is fully acceptable.

If there are multiple requests of the same prompt(and the same character requested), I might combine them depending on the requests.

But if there are multiple, seperate fics then I will most likely post those requests on the same day to keep the theme of the day consistent.

Again, I just want this to be a fun little thing for me and my community during this time of year to bring something exciting to the table while I’m in school.

Accepting Requests Dates -

October Requests - now until the 20th of October

November Requests - now until the 10th of November

Spooky Sleepover Saturdays Info

Questions can be asked at any time or as many times as you want.

I will be posting my responses to everything on Saturdays, though.

Again, as I said above, please remember to mention the prompt in your question.

Also, we don’t have to do sleepovers, I just thought that this would be fun :)

Tell Me That I Belong To You

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Reader is having a bad day. So, with the convincing of The TARDIS, The Reader seeks comfort in The Master.

Based On This Request - *This was originally based on a request but the more I continued to write and edit it, the more the fic drifted away from the prompt. So, I am just going to let this be its own fic and write another fic more closely aligned to the prompt.

Warnings - Reader not feeling well, insecurity on the part of the reader, canon typical telepathy. (let me know if I missed anything)

Word Count - 1864

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. I have a smut version of this fic if anyone would like to read it, but I don’t want to post it if people would just prefer the fluff version. I also don’t know how good this is, but I just wanted to get something out there after feeling awful mentally for a while. So, I hope that you enjoy this :)!

--------------------------------------------------------------

You woke up with a headache. The type of headache that no matter how much water you drank, food you ate, or sun(TARDIS created sun) you layed in would cure your malady. Headaches, in general, but especially ones as bad as the one you were experiencing, always made your whole day awful. Oftentimes, the pain in your head would cause you to spiral internally until your mental health was utterly destroyed. That’s where you were now, arguing to yourself in your head about you and your “Humanness” and how you weren’t good enough for The Master. How could you possibly be good enough for The Master? Even if you weren’t Human, why would he want to be with someone like you?

The TARDIS beeped determinedly. You were becoming better at understanding The TARDIS given how much time you had spent within the ship but still you could only understand part of what she was telling you. The bits you could discern were: “The Master loves you”, “you are good enough”, “you have always been enough”, and “The Master would never think such horrible things about you. Ever!”

Eventually, you stopped The TARDIS’s rant about how great you were and that she wished that she could help improve your self-image. You thanked her for everything she said. Even though didn’t understand everything, you could feel her distress over your thoughts and her want to help you.

“The Master could help you where I fail.” The TARDIS finally said telepathically.

“He’s probably busy, though.” You mumbled, worried about upsetting him if you interrupted him while he was doing something.

“Go to him. He wouldn’t want to know that you allowed yourself to suffer when he was there ready and available to help you.” The TARDIS had to say this statement a couple of times in order for you to fully understand, and you sighed in response. She was right. The Master would be furious if he found out that you hid your distress from him, you knew that, he said as much many times before. It’s just that your brain would lie to you when you were upset.

“The Master will understand.” The sentient time and spaceship whispered into your brain. The TARDIS, given her time being The Master’s ship, knew better than anyone how the state of a person’s physical health could affect their mental health. She knew how greatly The Master suffered, therefore The Master would never judge you. The TARDIS just hoped that you knew what she knew.

“Can you lead me to The Master, please?” You asked after ruminating over everything the incredibly kind ship communicated to you. The TARDIS cheerfully directed you to the main library where The Master often lounged.

Like many times before, The Master was sitting horizontally on the sofa reading. He seemed engrossed in the thick tome resting up against his bent thigh. The alien’s engrossed demeanour made you want to turn back and talk to The Master later, but The TARDIS reassured you with a comforting presence. Both you and the ship knew that the only person who could make you happy when you were feeling off was the rogue Time Lord.

You walked up as quietly as you could and poked the Master’s cheek with your finger. The Master looked up at you with a smile, completely unbothered. Even while agonisingly planning an upcoming plan to toy with The Doctor, you would always bring him joy just with your presence. You were never a bother to him,

“Hello, my little Human. How are you today?” The Master seemed so calm even though you expected him to be upset. You wrapped your arms around your torso anxiously and subconsciously began rocking back and forth on your feet.

“Can I sit on your lap please, Master?” You sounded tired, which worried The Master, though he chose not to react for your benefit.

“Of course, love.” The Master placed the book he was researching and moved slightly to allow you to sit on his lap.

As soon as you rested your body against his, The Master scooted his body down the sofa until the two of you were practically lying down. The Master then wrapped his arms firmly around your back, trapping you against his chest with the beating of his hearts rattling throughout your body.

You breathed a sigh of relief, causing The Master to chuckle lovingly. You then nuzzled against his clothes-covered collarbones and the base of his neck and then breathed in his scent. His presence was comforting, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. Your mind still hurt and your thoughts still moved far too quickly for you to properly calm down. You assumed that your thoughts were loud, loud enough for The Master to hear, but you didn’t put any effort into hiding your thoughts. You just wanted to dissolve into The Master’s chest and to let all of your anxieties disappear.

“I’m sorry that you aren’t feeling well, Y/n.” The Master said softly against your ear. One of his hands absentmindedly caressed up and down your back.

“Make me feel good, Master, please. You’re the only one who can.” Your headache seemed to peak right before you committed yourself to asking The Master for some help. The warmth of The Master’s body against yours and the severe pain spiking through your head was too contrasting and too overwhelming to put on a brave face any longer.

“What kind of Master would I be if I didn’t take care of my beloved Human.” The feel of The Master’s smirk against your skin sparked a warmth to spread through you. The Master always made you feel better and more secure, but on bad days you just needed a bit more reassurance.

“Please tell me that you mean that?”

“Of course I mean it, my love. You are the only person I could ever care about.” The Master adjusted slightly in order to look you in the eye. You shied away, avoiding eye contact, and The Master didn’t push you to look at him. Though he did brush a hand down the side of your face a couple of times before kissing your forehead delicately.

“Let’s go somewhere more comfortable, love.” The Master said this to inform you that he would move the two of you. He would carry you places in The TARDIS without telling you where you were going when you were feeling like your everyday self, but not when you were feeling off. The Master never wanted to add to your anxiety, so he would always tell you when he would carry you off somewhere.

The Master moved the two of you so he was sitting up with you on his lap. He wrapped your legs around his waist and held you tightly against his chest before finally standing up with you securely in his arms. Then he carried you off to your shared bedroom.

Once in the dark-themed and dimly lit bedroom, The Master gently placed you on the bed and wrapped you up in as many blankets as you wanted and needed. He stepped back from the bed momentarily to remove his clothes that were far inferior to yours when it came to the act of cuddling and resting. Eventually, he crawled under the covers to join you on the bed. He cuddled closer to you, holding you tighter than he did in the library, and then rubbed his hands up and down your back as you returned to your place cuddling into The Master’s side.

“What do you need, my love?”

“You.” You’re speech was muffled by The Master’s neck, but he still understood you.

“Yes, but what do you need me to do? I know that you are hiding something in that beautiful mind of yours.” You felt The Master softly tap a finger against your temple, a little jolt of calmness and relief coursing through you with each tap.

“You won’t laugh at me, will you?”

“Never.” The Master answered with sincerity heavy in his tone. You nervously mumbled your response under your breath and into his neck, making this comment more difficult for The Master to decipher.

“I couldn’t hear you, love.”

“Can you tell me I belong to you?” You asked a bit louder, but you were still quiet and nervousness permeated your question. The Master’s breath caught in his throat. He tried his best to hold in his excitement brought on by your request because this moment was about you. The idea of you belonging to him was exactly what The Master wanted, more than anything in the Universe, probably even the Multiverse. What added to his growing excitement and adoration of you was the fact that The Master didn’t even have to make you feel this way. You wanted him just as much as he wanted you. Somehow, the stars aligned and they delivered the perfect person to The Master. What else could he do but give you whatever you wanted in an act of gratification?

“You belong to me, love. You always will belong to your Master. You’ll be mine forever.” The Master cuddled you impossibly closer, intertwining your bodies in a knot, and whispered into your ear with all the devotion and fervour he felt for you heavy on his tongue.

“And you really mean that -” You tried to ask again, but The Master cut you off before you could finish your insecurity-filled question.

“Of course I mean that. I would never lie to you, especially about this.” This time when The Master moved to look you in the eye you didn’t turn away. His warm chocolate eyes held all of the sentiments that were laced within his words and even more. If it were possible, you would stare into his eyes forever.

“Thank you, Master.”

“There is no need to thank me. You just need some rest and then you will feel better.” You huffed into The Master’s neck, just wishing that he would accept your gratitude without dismissing it.

“Come on, rest your head on my chest and close your eyes. I will deal with that headache and those pesky thoughts that were troubling you.” You did as The Master asked, already planning how you would repay The Master for everything he did for you today.

As soon as you placed your head on The Master’s chest, the sound of his heartbeats immediately calmed you down and the pressure on your mind began to subside. The Master massaged his hands along your back, starting slowly along your neck and then moving further down toward the base of your spine. He smoothed every ache and worked out every knot and kink, all the while placing delicate kisses across your head and face. You heard him whispering praises in your ear, some in your native language and some in his. Even though you couldn’t understand everything he spoke to you, you knew that what he said was entirely comprised of his love. Because of The Master’s actions, you soon fell asleep. You were completely consumed by the rogue Time Lord’s presence, just like you wanted to be when the day began.

Safety Over Teamwork

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - After spending months spying and plotting, The Master is discovered. Now he has to fight off multiple alien officials that he had been double-crossing. You want to help him, but The Master refuses your help no matter how determined you are.

Based On This Request - Anonymous said - Hello how are you? I would like to please request a dhawan!master x reader request where the Master has to go and do something dangerous but he doesn’t want you going with them, they need to make it so you stay in the TARDIS. (Maybe the Master has tried to hypnotise the reader and the reader has said something like “I know what you’ll do if I look into your eyes.”) Maybe he could trick the reader into being hypnotised or use another method to keep the reader safe. Have a great night/day. P.s If you’re not comfortable then I understand

Warnings - mentions of canon typical violence, me making up alien species, some suggestive material, and hypnotism without consent

Word Count - 3587

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested by a lovely anon. I wrote this with the intent of it being read as a pre-established relationship, but you can read it however you wish. I hope that you enjoy!

--------------------------------------------------------------

The Master had been engaged in an intergalactic campaign against the supreme leader of the Limaxx galaxy for a couple of months now. He had involved himself in the war, initially, for fun, as The Master would often do when it came to more violent events in history. He was having a great time playing spy on all sides of the conflict. That was until his spycraft was discovered. Now, The Master had to lie and manipulate, and maybe even murder, just to get out of this situation unscathed.

Lying, manipulating, and murdering were very on brand for The Master, however, that was not his goal in entering the intergalactic conflict. He had originally gotten involved in the conflict after he had read about it in a book and then he wanted to experience the war for himself without the antiquated and pompous rhetoric of a historian coaching him through the Limaxx Galaxy War. The Master loved to read, but such a unique conflict like the Limaxx Galaxy War had to be experienced first-hand and not through the pages of a book, at least, that was The Master’s opinion regarding situations such as these.

Despite wanting to have fun around the Universe, The Master had been trying to keep a lower profile throughout time and space in comparison to how he had acted in the past and in comparison, to his previous regenerations. Now, unlike then, he had someone he needed to protect from his reputation. The Master had you now. You were all he had, actually; the only good thing The Master had in a very long time. And keeping you safe from The Doctor and all of his enemies was the least The Master could do to protect you, along with generally caring for you in other situations.

But, of course, The Master couldn’t just have a fun experience, could he? Something bad just had to happen. Of course, The Master would get too close to the conflict and the high-power players in the war and, like Icarus, fail due to his ego. You shouldn’t get hurt because of The Master’s ego, though. So, The Master had to do something potentially drastic in order to protect you. He didn’t know what that drastic decision might be, but as long as you would safe, The Master would do anything for you.

A night or two after The Master was discovered by a top general of the Limaxx Army, he returned to The TARDIS with a large gash on his shoulder and chest. It was easily healable, so he wasn’t too worried. But he used this injury as an excuse to plan an extensive counterattack and many, many backup attacks and plans and schemes in order to win this war for mostly himself but also the opponents of The Limaxx supporters.

The Master hadn’t finished the book about the Limaxx Galaxy War. So, he very well might be the victor written within the text, but the contents of the book were soon a passing thought in The Master’s mind. As soon as you appeared in The Master’s study, fear was ever present on your face. The Master’s mind quickly began to echo your fear because you were involved now. And that just made everything more serious and more messy and potentially, if everything went horribly wrong, more heartbreaking.

“Master!” You ran to The Time Lord as soon as you regained presence of mind after the initial shock of seeing The Master shirtless and bloody. You were upset and trying to help, but The Master was already healed. He grabbed your frantic hands and put on a tone of authority even though his mind was racing with worry, similar to yours.

“Just go back to bed, Y/n. Everything is okay. Everything will be okay.” The Master didn’t want to explain any of this to you, at least not in this way. If this, being a bloody mess after a botched assassination attack, was an interesting anecdote that he told you over a romantic dinner, then he would absolutely love to tell you the story of the Limaxx Conflict and how he was victorious. But this? He did not want to tell you like this.

This was a moment that The Master had feared would happen ever since he had invited you into his time and spaceship, that you would find out about the dangers of the Universe while The Master was currently facing them. His ego, again, got the best of The Master because he never prepared for a moment like this even though he feared that it would happen. You were Human, how could you possibly understand the seriousness of a situation like this? You would want to get involved; The Master could sense your need to help already. The Master needed to stop this now. He needed to defuse your good-natured need to help and stall his full explanation of what he really got up to when you were asleep for after he dealt with the Limaxx Galaxy War.

“Okay? Master, you’re covered in blood! How is that okay?”

“It’s someone else's.” The Master blurt out without thinking.

“Oh really? On your chest? Even though I can clearly see the rip in your shirt, vest, and coat? Master, what happened?” The Master shook his head. He wasn’t thinking clearly which was bad. Very, very bad. So, he took a deep breath and removed himself from you to wash his dried blood from his torso in the bathroom of his study.

While The Master cleaned himself, and then sought out a clean, undamaged, shirt to wear, he briefly explained what he thought you would understand. He told you about how he discovered the conflict, and then how he got involved in the war. Then he explained how he became a bit careless and was discovered spying and helping multiple sides of the conflict. The Limaxx Army and monarchy were much more willing to execute him than some of the other sides, but he was still in mind-numbing amounts of trouble that the Master would have to dig himself out of. Finally, The Master emphasised how he also needed to ensure that you were safe in his TARDIS while he dealt with all of this galactic mess. Though, he didn’t appear to successfully get his final point across to you.

“This is very important. You will be staying here, while I-”

“What! No, Master, I’m coming with you.” You couldn’t believe that The Master would just leave you behind when his life was at risk.

“I need you to stay here, Y/n.” The Master placed his hands on your shoulders, but you shifted out of his grasp.

“No, I want to help you!”

“It’s not safe for you there. You saw what happened to me, do you want that or something worse to happen to you? Do you want to die? Is that what you want?” The Master raised his voice in frustration and then pinched the bridge of his nose once he realised how petulant he sounded. You gave The Master some distance, sitting down on a partially cluttered sofa. You waited for The Master to calm down before trying to make your point again.

“All I want to do is help you. I know that you will keep me safe, but I need to keep you safe, too.” The Master sighed, a hint of anger intermingled with his delight at your devotion.

The Master loved your determination, how you were never afraid of him and would always fight for your position. But this situation was different than a little tiff about Human music or where to go out to eat or what the temperature within The TARDIS should be. This was a situation far more dangerous than you could comprehend, mostly due to The Master’s own protectiveness, and how he wanted to keep you like this. He wanted to keep you innocent and safe and away from harm for as long as he possibly could. The Master knew what he would have to do in order to keep you safe, even though it might kill him seeing you upset with him after the fact.

“This is not like that. It’s too dangerous. I need you to stay here so I have someone to clean my wounds for me when I return.” The Master walked forward, leaned down in front of you, and patted your knee reassuringly. His tone was soft, too soft, suspiciously so. The Master looked up at you with his big amber eyes. They were big and round and pleading. In other circumstances, you enjoyed seeing The Master’s softer moments, but, as The Master said many times, this conflict was serious and deadly. The Master’s attitude shifted too quickly causing your mind to question his new actions. You had a feeling in your gut about what The Master was about to do. So, you slapped your hand over The Master’s eyes and turned away from the Time Lord.

“Don’t do that!” You exclaimed.

“Do what?!” The Master questioned. His tone was still jovial and lighthearted, though you could trace a hint of frustration in the back of his voice.

“Look into my eyes!”

“Why can’t I look into the eyes of my love before this trying adventure?” You felt The Master remove your hand from his face and then creep his hands up and around your waist. The pads of his thumbs began to rub forceful circles into the flesh of your waist. You continued to face away from him but you could feel The Master staring you down and daring you to break.

The Master’s presence was distracting enough, but his use of the word ‘love’ almost made you lightheaded and willing to do whatever he said. You could tell that he was trying to manipulate you into staying in The TARDIS, but you wished that his affections were real. Maybe if you were positive that his feelings for you were real, then, maybe, you would stay willingly. But you needed to prove that you weren’t just a pathetic Human that could be used for fun at The Master’s every whim. You needed to stay strong.

“I know what you’ll try to do if I look into your eyes, Master. You’re going to try to hypnotise me into staying behind. So, guess who’s not going to do that?” You leapt up from your seat, quickly dodging The Master’s wanting hands, and moved to leave the room. You heard The Master sigh behind you again (he had been doing that a lot today), but you didn’t turn around.

“Why must you be so stubborn?!” The Master pouted in an exhausted manner.

“You’re one to talk!” You retorted back to the alien as you stood by the door of the study, your back still facing The Master.

“Please, Y/n. This will be incredibly dangerous for me, let alone you. I need you to be safe for me. I have no idea what I would do with myself if you got hurt because of me, or worse.” If you had turned around at that moment, you would have seen The Master lounging, outstretched, almost seductively, on the floor while looking up at you with pleading eyes. With the look he was giving you, you might have agreed with him and stayed behind, as long as he stayed with you just a bit longer in that position before returning to the battle. But you must have turned around and given into The Master’s begging tone in a different universe. In this universe, though, you would continue to stand your ground.

“I can handle myself, Master.” You finally spoke before briskly leaving The Master to wallow and worry in his messy study.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The eyes were incredibly vulnerable, yet enticing, parts of most species' bodies. Because of this vulnerability, that is why The Master chose hypnosis through eye contact most often. It was faster and to random people he hypnotised it often terrified them more. With you, though, quiet relaxing hypnosis sessions were common, like when he helped you get to sleep on troubling nights. It was one of the ways The Master showed his love to you. Being forthcoming with his power to completely corrupt or terrify you but never doing so, actually being kind and respectful, was such an intimate idea to him, He hurt him greatly knowing that he would have to hypnotise you in a manner that he never had before, but this was still all for your protection. So, it didn’t bother him as much as it probably should. However, with you being so stubborn, The Master would have to use other forms of telepathy and hypnosis in order to protect you.

Touch telepathy was a viable option. The Master was a little rusty with this type of hypnosis, though, especially in this regeneration, due to how isolated he had been in this life and the fact that he wasn’t as touchy as he was before. Except for you, of course, with you The Master was probably more affectionate than he had ever been in his life. The Master had only used touch telepathy on you once before, though, but that was during an hour or so long massage after a particularly gruelling trip. If The Master had an hour or two, then he could successfully hypnotise you through touch as he had before. You would not be that easily tricked, though, especially not after The Master’s first attempt to hypnotise you was discovered. Was he that obvious? Maybe he could successfully hypnotise you if he put a bit more effort into it. Or maybe he could just loosen you up before finally locking eyes with you. Either way, you would need multiple doses of hypnotism before The Master would be able to return to the conflict he started.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Master slowly and calmly walked up behind you while you prepared your favourite warm beverage. He took a deep breath and then ghosted his fingers down your spine. The Master could feel how determined you were. So, The Master stepped closer to you, his torso pressed tightly against your back, and then stroked your arms up and down soothingly. More physical contact would aid in his attempts to hypnotise you.

“Are you going to the library to read?” The Master asked after a moment of breathing in your presence. Your mind was just as strong-willed as ever. You were a tough opponent, weren’t you?

“Yes. That is, until you wise up and let me join you on this little adventure.” You retorted coldly.

The Master dropped his head onto your shoulder defeatedly. He really didn’t want to hypnotise you in this way, in such an improper way. The manner in which he saved for his enemies: without consent. Because The Master liked you, and now that the two of you had been travelling together and growing closer and more trusting of each other, The Master preferred to hypnotise you consensually. Whenever you had a rough day, he would calm you down via hypnosis. If you had nightmares, he would hypnotise you to sleep. And, of course, The Master had suggested (and had made many plans consisting of) experimenting with romantic and sexual hypnotism. But this was completely different. Why couldn’t you just listen to him so he wouldn’t have to do this?

The Master pulled the collar of your shirt to the side and began kissing your shoulder with his soft lips. With every kiss, you felt a numbing jolt rush to your head. It felt so nice and calm and dreamy, and you could feel the rush enticing you to a land of peaceful sleep. When The Master hummed against your pulse point your mind finally fought against him and cleared briefly. You straightened your back with clarity. The Master was trying to hypnotise you again!

“Are you really trying to hypnotise me, again?” You barked in frustration.

“No …” The Master mumbled into your brain.

“Really? Because it feels like you are.” You mentally shot back.

“If you would just listen to me and stay in The TARDIS, then I wouldn’t have to hypnotise you into doing what I want.”

“Get Out.” You growled in response.

The Master huffed defeatedly but telepathically left your mind. He then exited The TARDIS kitchen with a new plan already forming in his mind.

A couple of hours later, The Master set up an elaborate set of mirrors, bouncing reflections off of each other. It was a bit juvenile and Human, but The Master knew that tricking you in this way would actually be successful. Knowing you when you got stubborn, The Master was certain that you would eventually come out to try and find him and try to convince him that you were correct. You just needed him to see your position. And eventually, like clockwork, you came wandering out from the library directly into The Master’s trap.

You looked around, confused. Why were there so many mirrors out? You walked through the hallway close to the ballroom where The Master often lounged in dramatically, but then you locked eyes with The Master through an elaborate mirror.

“No!” You screamed before sleepiness overtook your mind and then fell onto the floor of the TARDIS. In your sleepy haze, you saw a blurred image of The Master walking up to you. Then he picked you up in his strong arms. You groaned in annoyance, but you couldn’t stop your head front lolling onto The Master’s shoulder.

“How are you feeling?” The Master looked you over, making sure he didn’t overdo his hypnotism. It wasn’t likely, due to the reflections of the mirrors dulling the effects, but he needed to make sure of what he did because he was doing this to you.

“You’re a meanie.” You tried to swipe at The Master’s nose but you underestimated the distance in your haze and didn’t even reach his face.

“Yep! That’s me. Big ol’meanie Master just trying to protect his companion and the love of his life from any harm. How horribly mean of me to do that! Unbelievable.” The Master chuckled at you in this state. He had seen you exhausted before, and this was a perfect imitation. You finally were safe, and you would soon be asleep, so there was nothing for him to worry about anymore.

“Love …” You hummed, intrigued, but completely out of your mind. The Master hummed, too, suddenly more aware of how many times he had used that word when referring to you today, seemingly absentmindedly. One thing that Humans and Gallifreyans had in common was the fact that ‘love’ was an incredibly powerful word not to be used lightly. But was The Master actually using it lightly, or did he really mean what he said? He assumed that it was the latter, but he would consider that option more thoroughly while he was murdering his way through the Limaxx Galaxy War.

“Part of me hopes that you will forget this but the other part of me hopes that you will remember. Which shall it be, my little Human?” The Master leaned down to whisper darkly into your face. Your eyes were fully closed now, directly on the brink of sleep.

“I’ll remember out of spite.” You slurred your words, but your sentiment was powerfully mixed within your tone. The Master just found your antics humorous in the most loving way.

“I guess we will see when I come back to you, then. Though, I will happily encourage you to be spiteful.” The Master’s dark chuckle reverberated throughout your mind.

Finally, The Master carried you into your shared room and delicately tucked you into bed. Your body was limp and completely melted into the plush of the decadent mattress.

“I’ll be back as soon as possible, my love. Just have a little nap. Then when you wake up, I will be back, and we can do whatever you want.” The Master whispered into your ear.

“No. I’m mad at you, now.” You pouted into the soft covers.

Sleep had practically overtaken your mind at this point, but you were still trying to hold onto the last ropes of your waking reality. The Master had to admire that. You were stronger than he thought you were. With some training and preparation, you probably could overthrow worlds and galaxies alongside him if you were so inclined to do so, or you could potentially surpass him in hypnosis and telepathic abilities and give him a run for his money if that was more your style. Either way, The Master definitely found is equal in you. He was certain of it.

“Fine, I’ll just make you like me again when I return. In whatever way you want me to make you like me again. Tonight’s festivities will be your choice.” The Master kissed your forehead for one last blast of hypnotism, causing you to be fully wrapped up in the folds of his sleep spell. The Master rolled his eyes at his abilities. Of course, touch telepathy would be successful when you were already under powerful partial hypnosis. He really needed to work on his skills so a situation such as this would never happen again. There was no excuse for being rusty, especially when that could cause you to be potentially hurt. But you were safe now. His little Human, completely safe in his TARDIS; that is all that mattered to The Master.

Anonymous said - Hello how are you? (Maybe the Master has tried to hypnotise the reader and the reader has said something like “I know what you’ll do if I look into your eyes.”) Maybe he could trick the reader into being hypnotised or use another method to keep the reader safe. Have a great night/day. P.s If you’re not comfortable then I understand.

(The image above is my copy of the request because I accidentally posted it too early and deleted it.)

Hello! Thank you for requesting, anon! I am finally getting this fic posted! I have had it finished for a bit now, but I had multiple anxiety attacks through the editing process on top of everyday executive dysfunction. So, I am really sorry that this took so long to post, but I hope that you enjoy this fic.

I will post this fic on Friday and link it below once it is posted.

Belle Of The Ball

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Master plans on scheming and schmoozing at a masquerade ball he was “invited to”, but he doesn’t plan on you catching the eyes of the fellow guests.

Based On This Request -

Anonymous requested - “The first time Reader goes to a masquerade ball and wears a breathtaking dress with Dhawan!Master, and the first time The Master gets jealous of the Reader. (Hello if you’re not too busy you could write this request, thanks and take care)”

Warnings - Me making up aliens/planets, mentions of canon typical violence

Word Count - 2103

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested by a lovely anon on my old Tumblr account. The reader is referred to with gender neutral pronouns, but they are described as being okay with wearing a dress. Also, I think this could be read as either a pre-relationship fic or a pre-established relationship fic, so enjoy however you wish.

--------------------------------------------------------------

You strode out of your room in an excited manner, while dressed in the beautiful outfit that The Master chose for you to wear to the masquerade ball he was “invited to”. You say “invited to” loosely. The Master had hypnotised his way into getting invited by the monarch of one of the most powerful planets in the galaxy he was trying to take over, and he made sure to include a necessary plus one on his invitation. The Master hadn’t been able to take you to any majestically royal locations since the two of you began travelling together, so The Master was incredibly excited about getting to take you to this masquerade ball. However, he also had work to do. So, unfortunately, The Master couldn’t just spend all of his time dancing with you.

You walked into the console room of The Master’s TARDIS with your expensive-looking shoes in your hand. You sat yourself down on a nearby sofa and stared, amazed, at The Master dressed in his equally extravagant outfit while he piloted his beloved ship to the desired destination. It was similar in colour and design to your own dress, making The Master’s intent plainly obvious. You were already aware of The Master’s possessive nature, but the thought of The Master purposefully matching your outfits with each other so everyone who saw the two of you knew that the both of you were together made you laugh. To you, this act was cute, not a silent threat by The Master. Though, killing his ego my calling The Master’s behaviour cute wasn’t on the cards for the day. You knew that this gathering was important for your alien host and his plans.

“You clean up nice. You actually look quite handsome minus the blood, engine grease and soot.” You finished tieing up your fancy shoes and sent a sarcastic wink to The Master. He only rolled his eyes in response. If anyone else said something like that to him, with that attitude, he would have killed them, but you were the beautiful exception.

“I’m going to take what you said as a compliment. However, I think I look quite sexy covered in all of those things. Especially the blood.”

“That remains to be seen. You never let me see you right after you destroyed a planet, remember? The only blood I see you covered in is the blood you missed washing away in the shower.” The Master stopped double and triple checking his plans and looked you up and down. You looked absolutely stunning in the dress he had picked for you; The Master wished that you would wear more clothes that he had picked out for you. However, The Master was growing much more interested in seeing you in nothing whatsoever. Or even seeing you in more intimate clothing he picked out for you.

“Well, if you promise to not argue about how many innocent people I just killed, then maybe we could have a very interesting night in the future. Maybe even tonight?” The Master smirked at you, but you ignored him.

“Not tonight. You said that you actually have to make these people like you, remember? For your ingenious plan to take over this galaxy’s gem mining and trading industries?” The Master sighed defeatedly. Sometimes he wished to not have to go through with some of his plans, not out of a sudden spark of moral righteousness, but more out of a hatred for social gatherings and nosy people.

“Oh right. That. Don’t get me wrong, I love treating you to the most beautiful of treasures found in this universe, love, but I hate talking to people.”

The Master bowed his head in stress. Through this plan of his, The Master planned on collecting many precious gems to both save and sell. Then he could take you to beautiful places and get you expensive things without having to steal or manipulate all the time. You also, through the many weeks of The Master planning this outing, had convinced The Master to eventually free the overworked “workers” of the mines once he took over and destroyed them. All of these plans were directly reliant upon The Master successfully integrating himself within the royal court of the Azuuill galaxy. If he wasn’t able to do that, then all of this was a waste.

You bounded up to where The Master was leaning against The TARDIS console. You rubbed his back soothingly and placed your chin on his shoulder.

“But you love manipulating people, and hypnotising them, so just remind yourself that you get to do that while having to suffer through all the schmoozing.”

“I do love those things. You know me so well, my little Human.” The Master peered over at you sentimentally. His eyes flickered down to your lips, but you, unfortunately, didn’t notice.

“Care to escort your date to the court of Azuuill, Master?” You separated yourself from The Master and smiled warmly as you held your hand out for him to take.

“I wouldn’t dream of doing anything else, love.” The Master jovially took your hand, and kissed the back of it softly, before leading you out into the alien palace.

The palace and the ballroom were amazing. The whole building was constructed in expensive-looking marble. But a very alien marble; dark navy with rivers of electric blue spiralling through the stone. There were also large pillars everywhere. And there were solid gold vines and leaves snaking around every surface. It looked like something out of a fairy world or a fantasy novel and you were in awe of its beauty.

The Master lead you through seas of people and gestured around wildly gloating about all of the people and their status in the Universe. When you weren’t distracted by the decor of the palace, you saw the eyes of the guests glare at The Master. Though, a glimmer of something unknown would flash across their faces whenever they would catch a glimpse of you. You had no idea what to make of either of their reactions, so you never brought it up to The Master.

The Master, after showing you the entire space of the ballroom, eventually went off to talk to someone important while you relaxed by an open window. Your intent was to catch a short breath because there were tons of people crammed into the dance hall. However, a group of people rushed to talk to you as soon as you were alone. You did talk to the group as a whole for a bit until one of the people asked to dance with you. You agreed, again trying to appear friendly and exuberant for The Master’s sake and for the sake of his plans.

Once the song ended, you tried to return to your spot by the window in order to wait for The Master, but another person asked to dance with you. With each new song that played throughout the ballroom, a new person would ask to dance with you. You agreed every time, excited about the opportunity to meet various types of alien species and hopefully, the experiences would encourage a business deal with The Master. Eventually, though, you were able to return to the window for a breather. The Master then huffed his way over to you from where he was sulking in a dark corner.

“Why are you so upset?” You asked as he slumped against you.

“Upset! I’m not upset, I’m completely embarrassed. No one is paying attention to me! Their eyes are all on you and I am getting no work done”

“Well, I’m having fun. Why don’t we dance, Master? It might lighten your mood.”

“How about we get some food and drinks first? My anger has made me a bit light-headed.” The Master tapped his forehead four times in a row. You assumed that he did this subconsciously, but you thought that The Master’s Drums were making themselves more annoying by the moment. You went along with The Master’s preference; you loved trying new alien foods and drinks. The Master nodded to you sadly before walking off to get you both some food and you waited patiently for his return by staring out at the interesting landscape of the planet.

You had thought that The Master had returned when you saw someone approach you out of the corner of your eye, but the stranger who stopped before you and stared at you with unblinking eyes was not The Master. They were a tall, extremely thin person with greasy-looking black hair tied in the back to form a low ponytail.

“You are Y/n, aren’t you?” Their voice was slick and dark like ink and, frankly, made you uncomfortable to have to listen to. But you chose to remain polite. You had no idea who the person before you was or if The Master had connections with them and therefore needed to be appeased.

“Yes. May I ask why?”

“I have heard so much about you because of my guests and The Master. You truly are a wonder!” The person smirked at you with a toothy smile. You then recognised who this person was! They were the ruler of this planet and owner of this castle who The Master was talking to earlier in the night.

“Oh! You must be Monarch Alecx Belgoze, the host of this party.”

“Yes, I am.” The monarch looked incredibly smug upon seeing you recognize him, but it might have just been a momentary burst of ego.

“This party is absolutely brilliant. I have never been to a party this extravagant before.” You stated this because it was true. But the monarch to your eagerness as an opportunity to step closer to you, much closer than you expected or were comfortable with.

“If I were your partner, I would throw a party much grander than this every night in your honour.” You could smell the blackberry wine on their breath. You had no idea how to react to the first part of the monarch’s comment. It was nice to hear such a thing, but you had no interest in the person before you, except to help The Master with his plan. And their forwardness was beginning to worry you. You looked around to the food table in the hope that The Master was there, but he was nowhere to be seen.

“Oh, that’s not - Master! Thank you so much for the food.” The Master finally returned to you with the snacks and drinks. But he didn’t come from the direction of the food table. You assumed that he was stalking around the monarch before making a move to save you. The Master looked incredibly upset, but you decided to not question him in front of a stranger. You did that once before and The Master sulked in his room for days after the fact.

“Monarch Belgoze, I thought that you would be dancing.” The Master questioned while placing the alien food and drink on the window sill. You could hear the strain in his voice, he was more upset than initially thought, but you decided to pay more attention to the food you desperately wanted to eat and let The Master deal with the alien encounters.

“Well, I was, but I saw a better dance partner off the dance floor.” The monarch dripped out a response.

“You must be referring to your betrothed? Correct?” The Master retorted snarkily.

“No, they weren’t able to make it tonight, I’m afraid. Anyway! Y/n, are you having a good night?” The alien monarch dramatically cut off The Master and turned his attention back to you, again stepping closer.

“Yes, I am.” You ventured a warry look at The Master, who looked like he was going to pop a blood vessel.

“May I say that you look absolutely stunning!” The monarch reached a ringed hand out to touch your waist.

“Oh, thank you! The Master got me this dress actually. He has amazing taste.” You felt incredibly awkward because of the monarch’s actions, but you had no idea what the customs of their planet were. You didn’t want to risk ruining The Master’s plans just because you didn’t understand.

“If you so desired, I would love to take you somewhere … more private…” The monarch leaned incredibly close to your face.

“Okay … Time to go!” The Master grabbed you by the arm and quickly pulled you out of the monarch’s grasp and through the crowd back to The TARDIS.

“But what about the masquerade!” You shouted in a worried tone.

“We can dance later!”

Lie Down With Me

O x Reader (Dhawan!Master x Reader)

Summary - The Reader, an agent at MI6, is obsessing over their current mission and O helps them with their stress.

Based On This Request - Anonymous requested - “Hello there how are you? I hope that you’re doing well. If it’s okay I was wondering if I could request an O x Reader (Dhawan!Master) where the reader is a secret agent and after working hard on a mission they are tired but cannot sleep. So O offers to hypnotise the reader to make them sleep”

Warnings - the reader being stressed and overstimulated, The Master hypnotises the reader with their consent, but obviously the reader doesn’t know about The Master and his powers

Word Count - 2697

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested by a lovely anon.

------------------------------------------------------------

You were an excellent secret agent. Truly one of the best. The only flaw you would say that you had would be that you were too committed to your job. MI6 was worried for you, for your mental health in particular, but even your physical health. For as long as you were a secret agent at MI6, you spent every second of your day committed to whichever case you were scheduled to complete. Even though MI6 was proud of your work, they expected a level of relaxation after a big, often traumatic, case. But you never took time off. Ever.

MI6, specifically C, decided to step in. You required a new flat because your old base house was compromised. So, C assigned you to a new base house, and this time the organisation assigned you a roommate.

You had seen O occasionally around MI6 headquarters. The two of you were assigned to different departments, so you never had any real opportunity to get to know each other. However, you always found O’s research to be incredibly valuable to your agency’s cause. C disagreed with your opinion constantly, but you would always stand up for O and his work.

There had been an incredible amount of alien interference in Human affairs since the early nineteen sixties, but since around 2005 sightings of aliens have nearly quadrupled. You couldn’t understand why so many of your fellow agents and C thought that O was a loon when he seemed to be ahead of the curve. Maybe your kindness towards the quiet agent was why he was chosen as your roommate. Or maybe it was because of his perseverance. To C, O might be the only person within MI6, or even the Universe, to actually get you to take a break.

So far, though, O was not successful. Since moving in together, you continued to work long hours, way into the night, and you rarely took longer than a normal weekend to recover from a case. O tried everything in his power to make you feel safe and calm around your flat and in the office, and it only seemed to bring the two of you closer. Which O loved, but that wasn’t what he was tasked to do. He wasn’t here to be your friend, he was here to protect you, and he was failing in that manner.

------------------------------------------------------------

The current case you were working on was getting to you. More than any other case before. You didn’t know how to feel. Even though you had stressful cases before, none were like this. No case before was ever so agonising. For some reason, nothing seemed to be falling into place, clues weren’t lining up and leads were falling flat. Even C, who was usually more slow when reacting and responding to national and international threats, was getting stressed and hounding you to do better. C even went behind your back three days ago to berate O on the “lack of timeliness” regarding your mission.

You had been awake since O told you about his interaction with the head of MI6. You probably fell asleep at some point, but for no substantial amount of time. After hours of pacing around your room, agonising over the clues, you finally walked to the kitchen to get a caffeinated drink. It didn’t really matter what drink it was at this point; you just needed the energy in order to keep going. You couldn’t stop. You just couldn’t.

You decided to make something warm. Maybe the heat would also jolt you awake along with the caffeine. As you waited for the water to boil, you began pacing again. You even started muttering to yourself, just replaying the clues and the scenarios that could possibly be important to your end goal. You huffed in frustration when nothing, again, ended up connecting or resolving itself.

“Are you okay?” You nearly jumped out of your skin when you heard O’s question. You really must be losing your mind because you didn’t even hear O enter the room. You were one of MI6’s best agents; you refused to lose your spot in the organisation just because of one case.

“Of course I’m okay. Are you okay, O?”

“I’m just a little worried.” O’s brows knitted together as he stared at you in your frantic state.

“Maybe you should take a nap or eat some food, maybe go for a walk.” You pondered out loud as you prepared your warm and heavily caffeinated beverage.

“Right … Yeah, I would, however, it is not myself that I am worried for.” O said this softly, tentatively, almost as if he was scared of your reaction, but you knew that O wasn’t scared of you. He saw you bundle home after a brutal case completely covered in blood and never treated you differently after the fact. So that must mean that O was worried for you and he was scared that you might be offended.

“What? Me? I’m perfectly fine! Don’t be ridiculous, O.” You turned around animatedly to O, trying to appear healthy and stable. All you needed was to complete this case and then everything would go back to normal.

“Well, C said that you have the habit -”

“Who cared what C said?!” You screamed across the room. O’s face fell and his eyes widened in shock. You had never spoken to him like that before. Immediately, you regretted what you had done. You groaned and covered your face in embarrassment.

“I’m sorry! O, I didn’t mean that. I really didn’t. I guess the stress has been getting to me lately.” You admitted defeatedly. You had been trying to suppress your growing emotions for O since moving in together, but now you couldn’t deny them now. Seeing O’s shocked face after you yelled at him broke your heart.

“Y/n, you’re totally fine. I’m not mad. I just want to make sure that you are taking care of yourself.” O walked over to where you were now leaning against the kitchen counter and held your arms firmly in his hands.

“Please, let me help you.” O tried to look you in the eyes, but you continued to hide them from him.

“You don’t have to do that. I can just-”

“No. Okay, no. C asked me to watch over you and to make sure that you take care of yourself. And I have been trying to help, but I have not been doing that well enough. So, please, let me help you now.” You sighed. You really didn’t like feeling like a failure. It caused you to feel an all-consuming hatred for yourself. You collapsed into O’s shoulder, completely crestfallen.

“I don’t know how to be calm, O. I don’t know what to do if I’m not working. And now I can’t even do the one thing I am good at properly.” O wrapped his arms around you and began rubbing circles on your back.

“Well, you can just spend some time with me.”

“O … I don’t have time for friends or relationships. You know this.”

“Maybe having more than just a workplace relationship will be good for you.” You were going to respond, but O suddenly removed you from the hug and then pulled you out of the kitchen and into the hall.

“Where are we going?” You asked with exhaustion finally reaching your voice.

“Your room.”

“Why?”

“You need sleep.” You rolled your eyes but choose to not comment. You knew that you needed sleep, but you had been unable due to your anxiety over the case. You still thought that trying to sleep before completing your research was a lost cause, but maybe O could actually help you. He was an incredibly intelligent agent and person, and he was chosen to keep an eye on you, maybe an inch of trust could go a long way.

Once in your room, O let go of your hand before crawling onto your bed. He got comfortable horizontally against the head of your bed, sitting right up against your pillows. He then looked up at you with a smile and patted his lap as if to say that there was where you should be. You tentatively moved to the edge of your bed but stopped there before moving onto your soft and inviting mattress.

“O, what are you doing?”

“I’m going to help you sleep. Now come on up here.” O pushed the covers back and motioned you over again.

“I don’t know O …”

“Trust me, Y/n, I’m soft and cuddly. You will absolutely get the rest you need with me. And if that is not enough convincing, I could tell you about all of the people I put to sleep with my lectures.” You laughed under your breath, still trying to stay strong to your convictions, but O’s warm and inviting smile won you over. You crawled into your bed tentatively and sat on your feet as you stared at O.

“What do you want me to do?” You asked. O stared back at you for a moment before a more playful smile crept on his face.

“Well, first you should lie down.” You stared at O for a long time, trying to deduce his motives, but, eventually, you did as O said and lied down on your bed beneath your blankets. You made sure to not touch O. You didn’t want to indeed his space or make him uncomfortable.

“It would be best if your head was on my lap.” You sighed, unsure of what O was planning, but you moved yourself up the bed and then laid your head on O’s lap.

“I don’t think I will be able to sleep, O. My brain is too anxious and loud. So, you don’t have to do anything.” You muttered in a rushed matter. You knew that you were in a bad state, and you were very appreciative of everything O had done and was continuing to do for you. You just didn’t think that anything would actually succeed in soothing you until you completed your case. You didn’t want O to waste his time with you when he could be doing something more important.

“Don’t be ridiculous. I have to help you. You need this.” O said firmly while looking down at you.

“O … how?”

“I could always hypnotise you.”

“No, you can’t.” You chuckled in disbelief.

“I study alien tech and UFO visits to our planet; I absolutely can hypnotise you.”

“Fine. Hypnotise me, O.” You still didn’t believe O, even though you could hear the intense conviction within his voice, but you let O help you. In your drained state, with O holding you, you finally realized that O was the only person you truly had in your life. Everyone else either left you or you left them. So, letting O help you and trusting him, just a little, sounded like the only option you had for connection. And, if you were being honest with yourself, you wouldn’t want to grow a connection with anyone other than O.

“You need to look into my eyes.” O leaned over you again, bringing you out of your mind. Slowly he moved to hold your face in his hands. You sucked in a breath when O’s soft yet slightly calloused hands touched your skin. You relished in the feeling of his fingers brushing along your temples as you prepared yourself to look into O’s eyes for a long time. You were familiar with some forms of Human hypnotise, even though you didn’t necessarily believe in its effects. You knew that hypnosis sessions could be very vulnerable. Your old ways of masking yourself plagued the back of your mind, but you pushed them away and reminded yourself that O was here to help you. He wouldn’t hurt you. You were safe being in a vulnerable state with O.

Finally, you looked into O’s eyes after preparing yourself. He smiled sweetly at you, reassuringly and rewardingly. You let out a sigh of relief. Opening up to O wasn’t as difficult as you thought it was. And now you got to see a part of O he rarely ever showed; you got to see O’s more vulnerable side as you continued to open up to him.

O continued to look at you while brushing his hands along the curves of your face. He was being so attentive, so focused on you and your breathing and your state. You mostly focused on O’s eyes, though. O’s eyes were so beautiful. You had observed that his eyes were stunning before, but that was from far away. Up close, you could see that his eyes were a beautiful mix of amber, honey, chocolate, and dark coffee. They almost looked as if they had intricate galaxies or nebulas trapped within them, but that would be impossible. Either way, O was beautiful and alluring. You didn’t know if this hypnotise was working, but you, at least, were drawn into a calming state because of O.

“Now take some deep breaths with me.” O instructed in a whisper. You followed him in his directing of your breaths. For a couple of minutes, you and O proceeded to breathe as one all while looking each other in the eye. You definitely felt more relaxed than you had before. And, instead of mind-numbing exhaustion, you felt a wave of calm tiredness wash through you, almost as if you were being called to sleep.

You began to feel O massaging your temples. His fingers dug into your skin in relaxing circles and occasionally he brushed his hands down your face before returning to your temples to massage them again. The headache that had been slowly growing throughout the day eased itself out of your brain. Finally, your eyes were starting to grow heavy and began to droop. You tried to keep them open out of latent stubbornness, but O quickly saw that, and he urged you to give into your body’s needs.

“Let your eyes close. You can tell that they want to close.” With your remaining energy, you rolled your eyes at O, and he chuckled at your drowsy yet stubborn state.

“O?”

“It’s fine. You’re safe. You’re safe with me. We will work through everything together once you rest first. No, go to sleep.” You looked at O one last time before letting your eyes finally close. You were close to sleep, but before you succumbed to the side effects of hypnosis you picture O right before you closed your eyes. His eyes were so soft and warm, and his fingers were so nimble while massaging your temples. He nodded reassuringly before you closed your eyes like he was confirming again that you were safe.

“Let yourself sleep, love.” You heard O say just before you drifted off into the world of calming sleep.

The Master petted your head and caressed your face even after you were completely asleep. You wouldn’t be waking up anytime soon thanks to his hypnotism. He made sure that, at the very least, you would receive a good eight hours of sound and deep sleep. Frankly, he should have done this days ago. The Master knew this, but his plans against The Doctor were now getting in the way of his goal of protecting you. He was upset that he let you get to this point. He reprimanded himself for not intervening sooner.

He was conflicted of course. The Doctor versus a Human. This was a scenario that The Master could never foresee happening, but it did and now you were here in his arms. You were really becoming an important part of The Master’s life.

The Master stayed with you while you slept. He simply and easily could have sent a bit more hypnotic waves into your mind and moved you so he could work on his plan to destroy The Doctor, but you were more important. You really were more important, even though it was difficult for The Master to admit that to himself. He could deal with The Doctor later. Right now, The Master would just focus on you.

Accidentally posted then deleted the original request because I keep forgetting that I left things in my queue. So, this is just my copy of the ask.

Thank you so much for the request, anon! I really enjoyed writing this. I hope that you enjoy this, too.

I will link the fic here once I post it.

Torturous Flirting

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Master develops a crush on The Doctor’s companion, but his way of flirting is quite threatening which causes the Reader to have a panic attack.

Based On This Request - Anonymous requested - “Hi! May I ask for a soft fic with The Master where they hypnotise The Reader?”

Warnings - canon typical violence, kidnapping, threatening, hypnotism without consent

Word Count - 847

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested by this lovely anon! I will link the other fics inspired by this request HERE, if you would like to read them. I hope that you enjoy!

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master actually liked you. Which was surprising to him. He very rarely liked any of The Doctor’s companions and he definitely never felt anything like this toward one of The Doctor's little playthings. The Master was in denial about his crush on you. But every so often he would find himself daydreaming about you.

The Master didn’t know how to deal with these feelings. He rarely developed feelings for anyone, let alone a companion of his best enemy. So, naturally, he separated you from your friends, tied you to a chair and threatened to torture you. That was clearly the best way for him to confess his feeling for you.

You were currently mechanically handcuffed to a rigid and cold metal chair. The tranquilliser that The Master used to knock you out and kidnap you was wearing off, but its effects were still messing with your mind. Your vision was still blurred, but you could hear the pacing steps of The Master circling you.

“Well, well, well … The Doctor’s little pet … Finally awake.”

“Let me go.” You slurred.

“And why would I do that, love?” The Master leant down to peer into your eyes. To you, maybe because of the drugs you were on or maybe just the whole situation, The Master looked menacing, like he was trying to look into your soul. In actually, though, The Master was inspecting your features to see if the tranquilliser was wearing off properly. He wanted to trap you in order to tease you about both of your growing healings for each other, not cause you to have an allergic reaction to an alien substance.

“Just don’t do this!” You exclaimed, more frustrated about not being able to move rather than being taunted by The Master.

“That doesn’t sound like a good reason to me. What makes you think that I will let you go when I could just torture you and kill you.” The Master booped your nose, so as to see how well your reflexes have adapted to the drugs in your system. You flinched back as much as you could, so the drugs were indeed wearing off as they were meant to. The Master leant back and began circling you again.

With the tranquilliser still in your system, though, it was making you more paranoid than normal. You began looking around for an exit and started pulling roughly against your restraints, along with beginning to breathe heavily and heave breaths. You felt like the room was closing in on you and the restraints felt like they were tightening around your body.

As soon as The Master saw the state you were in, he realised how much he messed up. Quickly, The Master ran to help you.

“Woah, woah, now. Don’t do that.” The Master yelled in a panic state, but you were too consumed by your panic to react to him.

The Master quickly unclasped the handcuffs attaching you to the chair. Then, with his alien strength, safely carried you from the chair so you were now laying on the cold ground.

The Master had one hand cradling your head and his thumb rested against your temple and his other hand was placed over your heart. He then pressed his forehead against yours and sent waves of calming hypnotism into your mind until he felt your heartbeat slow to a normal Human pace.

“Come on, my little Human. Nothing’s going to happen to you.” The Master spoke as he leant back a bit, he inspected your body for any signs of harm.

“Really?” You squeaked out the question and creaked your eyes open. The light in the room was shining too brightly into your eyes. The Master saw this and leaned forward, closer to your face, in order to block the light from hitting your eyes.

“Really. It was just a bit of teasing, flirting if you will. I didn’t mean to scare you.” The Master continued to caress your face, near your temple.

“I wouldn’t call that teasing. It was more like torture.” You joked.

“I haven’t interacted with Human beings in a long time. I’m trying my best.”

“I should teach you about Human flirting, then. Some time.”

“Sometime very soon I expect.” The Master smirked hopefully. You nodded, blessed out and still a little hazy. But then you heard the distant yelling from The Doctor. Despite the anxiety attack you just experienced, you really didn’t want this moment to end with The Master.

“Are you prepared to be questioned by The Doctor at this moment?” The Master asked while peering into your eyes with concern.

“I don’t think so.”

“You can always stay in my TARDIS for a bit. We can go to a relaxing planet and then I can return you to The Doctor. She will never know that you agreed to travel with me, I will simply say that I kidnapped you.”

“I’d like that.” You smiled genuinely. The Master then smiled his classic cheeky smile before scooping you up into his arms and caring you to his TARDIS.

Drumming Noise Inside My Head

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Drums are raging in The Master’s head and The Reader comforts him.

Warnings - The Master’s Drums, The Master being insecure/depressed/sad/stressed

Word Count - 2229

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Not Requested. This was inspired by The Drumming Song by Florence & The Machine. This song always reminded me of The Master, so I just thought I should write a fic based on it.

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master couldn’t believe that you wanted to be with him. He was brash and impulsive. He had a tendency to be rude and not aware of other people’s emotions. And, obviously, he was a murderer who constantly created various plans to destroy planets, galaxies, and, of course, his best enemy. Despite all of that though, here you were, travelling along the ride of life with him for a reason that he could not understand.

The Master was naturally suspicious, ever since he was young. Maybe it was an effect of looking into the Time Vortex at such a young age and The Drums that invaded his mind since that event, or maybe The Master was just like this, or even something else responsible. Maybe everyone and everything in The Master’s life just led him to be so suspicious.

The Master’s parents, from as far back as he could remember, had stuffed his head full of the fear that everyone would want to steal their power and wealth as a familial line if given the chance; therefore no one could be trusted. The Time Wars then enforced this ideology. So many of the Gallifreyan leaders were stabbed in the back by underlings who wished to have more power and their planet being in chaos gave them the opportunity.

Again, The Master beginning to scheme and plot reinforced his mindset that no one could be trusted. Of course, he was also trying to take over many people. But he was brought up with the belief that, as a Time Lord, he had the right to be at the forefront of making history, no matter what other people believed.

Maybe it was his time alone in space that really forged his nature. Though The Master could never be sure of the real reason why he acted the way he did, he just continued to act so as to not go crazy in the emptiness of space.

The Master’s suspicious nature never died down upon meeting you either. You were always kind and patient with The Master, but so many other people in The Master’s past pretended to be kind and patient in order to use him. Though you had so many opportunities to manipulate him, or try to, that is, but you never did. So maybe you could be trusted after all.

The Master did eventually will himself to trust you enough in order to interact with you during his O persona. Then to tell you who he truly was. Then his trust grew enough to allow you onto his TARDIS. And then to begin dating you.

Even though his trust in you did grow exponentially, The Master could never shake all of his insecurities away. Either his Drums would flare up and he would question everything that led to this moment in time or vice versa. The Master, unfortunately for himself, could never resist the urge to question his entire life, which always lead to a massive drumbeat-filled headache.

The Master refused to tell you about The Drums. The only person who really knew about The Drums was The Doctor, and she had a history of not believing the severity of the drumbeat inside The Master’s mind. And after Rassilon and the leaders of Gallifrey accused him of being insane and diseased for the noise in his mind, the noise they gave him, The Master assumed that everyone would see him as weak and monstrous for something he did not choose to have. The last thing he wanted was for you to run from him. You were the only person left in his life. And The Master, even though he was still sceptical of you, had grown very fond of you. He might even conjecture that he loved you, if he even knew what that feeling was. But whatever he was feeling was very similar to what billions of romantics had described as love. Perhaps, telling you about the truth of his mind would not be as devastating as The Master feared.

The Drums were particularly loud today. They have been echoing around his brain since he woke up this morning. Unlike some of his previous regenerations, The Drums weren’t always this bad, but The Master would have some horrible days still.

The Drums were already raging in The Master’s head by the time you woke up. He had tried to stay quiet while being with you, but he eventually needed to distract himself, so he picked up the book he left on the bedside table and tried to focus and read until you woke up. Once you had, The Master quickly placed the book back on the bedside table. He hadn’t progressed very far in it and that was only making the drumbeat and his insecurities worse. All The Master wanted at the moment was your attention, which you happily gave him.

After a brief moment of cuddling, you got up to take a shower. You, in your tired state, assumed that today was like any normal day and that The Master was feeling perfect and well.

The Master informed you that he would take a shower in his own bedroom, which wasn’t abnormal. He would do this often if he had a plan in mind so he could easily run out of the shower and write down whatever idea he had. So, again, you thought nothing of his act. You, however, had never actually been to his room. The TARDIS always kept it hidden, but you never pushed her or her Master on why that was the case.

Before leaving your room, though, The Master said that he would either be working in his study or in The TARDIS console room or the storage rooms. It was a lie, of course. After The Master’s long shower, he dried himself off and then cocooned himself within the many blankets on his bed.

The Master did feel bad for not telling you the truth. You deserved his honesty. He just didn’t want to worry you. In the back of his mind, however, The Master worried that you didn’t care at all. He couldn’t help but think that he was unworthy of your kindness and love, if your feelings were even real. The Master continued to debate your love for him and all of his failings in his life until he eventually dozed off into a troubling and nightmare-filled nap.

You needed to ask The Master something a couple of hours after you woke up that morning. It wasn’t too important. It was just something small related to your job on Earth. But you wanted to complete the project you were working on today.

You looked in The Master’s office, but he was nowhere to be seen. Then you looked in the console room, but still nothing. Finally, you walked all the way down into the dark storage rooms, and still, The Master was nowhere to be seen.

You felt The TARDIS urging you out of the room and toward another part of the ship. You followed her instructions without question. The TARDIS’s telepathic services rang throughout your mind when you walked out of the storage rooms with a confused huff. She kindly led you through her wandering halls to an unknown room. You asked telepathically if The Master was in the room, and she responded that he was.

So, you knocked on the door, but there was no response. The TARDIS urged you to just open the door, and you did. The room looked like a normal bedroom, at least from what you could see of it because the lights were all out. There was an outline bed, wardrobes, and a desk, but there was no sign of The Master.

“Can you please close the door?” You jumped a bit upon hearing The Master’s voice, which sounded broken and sad. You really didn’t think that he was in the room, but you did as he asked without question.

“Master? Are you okay?” You walked forward a bit into the dark of the room but stayed reliably close to the door.

“I’m fine. You can just go about your day, Y/n.” You huffed, knowing that The Master was deflecting. You slowly walked around the bed, after making out the fact that the mound of the bed was in fact The Master. He was mainly sleeping on the side of the bed that The Master always slept on when the two of you shared a bed, so you stayed on your side of the bed as well. You lend down into a kneeling position and looked at the breathing mound of blankets. You wanted to give The Master space, but also look him in the eye, if possible. You suddenly felt determined to get to the bottom of The Master’s depressive episodes. He had been hiding for far too long.

“I’m not going to leave you like this. Now, what’s wrong, Master?”

“It doesn't matter.”

“It does matter. Something’s wrong and I want to make it better if I can.”

“Just hold me.” You heard The Master choke out after a long silence. He lifted up the side of the blankets you were closest to, allowing you to crawl under The Master’s many blankets. Even in the darkness, you could see that The Master was holding himself and he was shaking a bit. You quickly wrapped your body around his and just held him. Sometimes, you kissed his forehead and brought a hand through his hair, but The Master was still shaking. Seeing him like this terrified you. Seeing the person you loved so broken looking was hurting you to your core. You just wanted to help The Master.

“Master, please just give me a hint as to what’s going on so I can be useful. It doesn’t have to be everything, but what’s going on? I haven’t seen you like this before.”

“Have I ever told you about The Drums?” The Master said in a strained voice. You responded with a confused ‘no.’

“The Untempered Schism?” Again, you responded with a confused ‘no.’

“What about the Time Vortex?”

“Just that that is what we travel through. Why?”

The Master explained The Drums to you, slowly because he was still in pain. He explained how he looked into the Untempered Schism as a child and that’s when the drumbeat first began to plague his mind. Finally, he explained everything that the Drums did to him, both minor consequences and major symptoms. Everything that The Master had to experience broke your heart, but the mention of the drumbeat piqued your curiosity.

“Is this what I have been hearing sometimes?”

“What do you mean?”

“Sometimes, when we are cuddling or reading together or just at random times when I am with you, I hear a drum beat in my head. It’s always four beats. It’s steady and soft in the background. I hear it now actually.”

“Does it scare you?”

“No. It calms me down. It reminds me of you, Master.” The Master hummed; he didn’t understand why you could hear The Drums or why you weren’t worried about it. However, The Master was too drained to process either of those realities fully, so he just accepted it. He was staring off into space when you cupped his face in your hands. The Drums, when they were raging, caused him to not process things fully. Like there was a loud fog in his head and it made him feel horrible. But you were making all of this period more bearable.

You brushed your palm through his disgruntled hair, and then delicately caressed his face again. The Master closed his eyes; he always grew more relaxed in your presence.

“I love you.” The Master whispered vulnerably.

“I love you, Master.” You saw him smile bittersweetly and a stray tear rolled down his face. You wiped it away and kissed his forehead before cuddling The Master once more.

“Do you want to take a nap?” The Master nodded into you.

“Do you want to be alone?” The Master shook his head “no,” but then immediately groaned when an intense pain erupted through his head. You told The Master that you were going to get him some more painkillers and water before you took your nap. It took some convincing for The Master to actually let you go, but you ensured him that you would return quickly.

You made sure that The Master took the medication and drank some water. You knew that in times like these it was your responsibility to take care of him, and you were happy to do it. You wanted to make sure that The Master was safe and healthy and happy, just like how he had always made you feel when you were feeling low.

The two of you then laid back down together on The Master’s bed and shuffled around a bit before you found a comfortable position. The Master ended up laying on top of you, with his head over your heart and your hands either rubbed circled on his back or played with his hair. In this environment, it was easy for the two of you to fall into a deep slumber. And, when The Master woke up, many hours later, The Drums were gone and his mind was clear and calm, all because of your care.

Work Hard, Rest Hard

O x Reader ( Dhawan!Master x Reader)

Summary - Your roommate O is incredibly kind; he is very willing to help you calm down in any way he can.

Based On This Request - Anonymous requested - “Hi! May I ask for a soft fic with The Master where they hypnotise The Reader?”

Warnings - the reader is incredibly stressed, anxiety, hypnotism, hypnotism without consent

Word Count - 947

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested by this lovely anon! I will link the other fics inspired by this request HERE, if you would like to read them. I hope that you enjoy!

------------------------------------------------------------

You had been living with O for a couple of weeks now. Your last roommate moved out randomly and you had been scrambling every day to find a new roommate at such short notice. Thankfully, O moved in pretty soon after and was able to pay for half of the rent, which you had been struggling to pay in full on your own.

O was very willing to pay for the next couple of weeks' rent in full to make up for when you had to pay the rent in full. But you refused. You didn’t want your new roommate to be forced into doing something like that. But O did that anyway. He wanted to relieve some stress from your shoulders. He could see that you were tense, and he wanted to help you without being too intrusive about your personal life.

With O’s help, a lot of stressors were removed from your plate, but you still had so many things to do. The thing that kept you up most nights, however, was your work. You were a bit behind on things and were given a notice to have everything completed by the upcoming Monday, but you also had to complete this week's work, as well. You would have to stay up late to finish it all in time.

You were currently pacing around the kitchen, waiting for the kettle to boil, when O walked into the kitchen.

“You okay?”

“Yeah, everything’s great.” You mumbled insecurely while tapping your foot wildly.

“You seem a little stressed.”

“No, I’m perfectly fine.” O walked up to you as you were preparing your tea.

“You can tell me anything. Just so you know.”

“You don’t mean that.” You huffed. To you, O was still a stranger and why would a stranger care about you and your health?

“I do.” O tentatively placed a hand on your shoulder causing you to finally look into your roommate's eyes. He did look to be incredibly sincere, so you broke down and told O the truth.

“Things are just a bit complicated with work. I’m struggling to stay on top of things.”

“I have some work to do. We could maybe just work together. Make sure that we through everything.” You nodded, relieved, to O.

You and O worked together for a while. O seemed to be flying through all of his work, but you, on the other hand, were still struggling immensely. You looked over at O typing away on his laptop then returned to stare at your own computer; barely a sentence was written on the open document. You switched to writing some notes in a notebook; you hoped that physical handwriting would make your brain flow better. But unfortunately for you, that did not help. You slammed your notebook down on the table and groaned in mental agony.

“I can’t do this O! It's just too stressful! And I’m not good enough!”

“Don’t say stuff like that. I know that you can do this.”

“No! No, I can’t. I should just quit because I’m such a failure!” You stood up and began pacing as you had before in the kitchen. You felt yourself begin to start heaving breaths. Air didn’t seem to fill your lungs fast enough. You then began to flap your hands back and forth in an attempt to call yourself down. But nothing worked and now you felt like your head was spinning.

“Shh shh, look at me.” O was suddenly in front of you, holding you by your shoulders.

“O?”

“Just look at me. You can do that right?” You nodded as O cradled your face in his hands. O’s soft thumbs were resting on your temples, rubbing circles into your flesh every so often.

“Now take some deep breaths with me.” O instructed and you did as you were told.

“Better?” O asked after a few minutes of the two of you breathing deeply together and you nodded in response. How did you suddenly feel so much better?

“Do you want me to make you some food?” O’s hands returned to your shoulders and continued to hold you tightly.

“You don’t have to.”

“Look at me.” O said sternly, but with a lace of warmth; that mix of emotions you had never been on the receiving end of before. You locked eyes with your roommate and felt that feeling again, that feeling of calm and reassurance you had after O had helped you relax.

“Do you want food?” O asked again and you nodded.

“Okay, I’ll make you your favourite. Why don’t you take a nap while I prepare it?” You nodded again as an intense wave of tiredness washed over you. You felt like you had nothing to say even though many responses were rippling around your mind. But before you could question anything that had happened you were fast asleep on the couch.

You woke up to O stroking your arm and muttering something that you couldn’t understand.

“Hello, sleepy head. Have a nice rest?” O crooked his head to the side to look at your fully.

“Yeah, surprisingly I did.”

“The food’s ready and I planned out a system to best complete everything.”

“O, you didn’t have to do any of this.” You said as you fully sat up.

“Of course I did! Now, let’s get through this together, shall we?” O held out his hand for you and you took it, happily, excited for the evening with O. You didn’t know why, but you just had this gut feeling that O would do anything to help you, and that feeling calmed you down more than anything else in your life had.

My Baby Doll Part Two

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summery - The Master milks the fact that The Reader is now small and vulnerable.

Based On This Request - Anonymous requested - “Hi! I’m not the person who requested the master x reader where she gets turned into a doll BUT I read it and it was so cute! I kinda need more, can I ask for a sequel? If you don't want to it's totally cool, love your account<;3”

Warnings - The Master not helping The Reader even though he could, being miniaturised, me making up alien stuff, and canon typical weapons

Word Count - 2595

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested by a lovely anon! I hope that you enjoy this!

I will link Part 1 HERE.

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master was incredibly accommodating to you during the predicament you were in. Each new day, he would deliver you tiny gift boxes full of new and expensive-looking clothes. Even though you were grateful, not everything The Master gifted you was in your preferred style. So, The Master ecstatically modelled the new clothes for you on various miniaturized mannequins around your size in order to try and convince you into wearing what he had picked out for you. You could tell that he was enjoying the idea of taking care of you, but you couldn’t wait to return to your original size.

“I think that you would look absolutely lovely in these, darling!” The Master said as he held the doll of the day, clad in an outfit incredibly similar to a navy and burnt orange tartan suit that he owned.

“I don’t know, Master. Can’t I just wear some pyjama pants and a hoodie?”

“It is always best to be prepared for the day. Do you think a hoodie is a presentable attire for an Easter Vigil dinner with the Marquess of Grandspire? I don’t think so.”

“I understand, but why do I have to do ‘prepare for the day’ when I can barely do anything this size? We aren’t actually going anywhere today.”

“You can do a great many things. Climb through vents, rummage through wiring, you could even be a great fly on the wall during missions and adventures thanks to your new size!” The Master exclaimed as he bent down to your eye level. You were currently standing on a tall table, but given everything, that offered no real height compared to The Master.

“Temporary size.”

“Yes … temporary size …” The Master repeated your comment in a sadder tone, and you couldn’t understand why but before you could question him, he spoke again.

“But while you are this size you should wear this outfit, at least once. Please, for me?” The Master presented the doll again and looked at you with wide and longing puppy dog eyes. You couldn’t say no to him when he was pleading with you like this, it happened so rarely, and you would kick yourself in the future if you refused The Master on one of the few occasions where he was actually begging for you.

“Okay, Master. For you.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Being so small, compared to your previous size, had been a weird adjustment to make over the weeks of The Master trying to fix his TCE. The only good thing seemed to be that you could hold onto The Master, or be incredibly close to him, without bothering him.

Currently, you were resting in The Master’s bigger on the inside waistcoat pocket. You had been setting up a little reading nook in there. Instead of reading, though, today you just watched The Master as he fiddled with a new device. You were so invested in The Master’s succinct and thoughtful movements that it didn’t even occur to you to question him as to why he was not trying to mend his TCE.

“You have nice hands.” You said out of nowhere because you were so enamoured by the look of his long fingers and vein-covered hands, the outlines of his tendons were on full display to you.

“Thank you, my love.” You continued to stare at The Master’s hands as he worked.

“I can’t believe I didn’t notice how veiny they are.” The Master paused in contemplation over what you had just absentmindedly stated.

“Does that intrigue you?” You could hear a teasing tone laced within The Master’s voice and that finally brought you out of your daze.

“Shut up. Just finish up whatever you are tinkering with so we can cuddle.”

“Ooo, distraction. I must press further on this issue at a later date.”

“I’ll deny everything!” You ducked back into The Master’s pocket causing him to chuckle before returning to the device.

The Master took a long time to finish his experiment on the equipment, as he was very thorough. However, to him, it felt like a few minutes. In actuality, about three hours had passed and you had fallen asleep long ago.

“What do you think of this? Love?” The Master called for you once more before looking to you to see what was taking you so long to answer him. To his surprise, you were fast asleep in his pocket. The Master hummed contently. You looked so cute like this. The Master loved protecting you, taking care of you, and being responsible for you. It felt like it was one of the only things he was actually good at, but eventually, this would have to end. The Master would have to turn you back to your actual size and protecting you would be so much more difficult to do successfully.

The Master huffed and looked at the notes on deminiaturisation that he had completed weeks ago. He could change you back now if he wanted, but The Master didn’t want to do that. So, with delicate movements, The Master just left his study and walked to your shared bedroom.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Master finally had some time to spend alone with you without worrying about any alien disturbances or space tech stuff that you could never understand the constant maintenance of. You asked The Master to read to you. It had been a while since he had done that. When the state of things was calmer, The Master read to you almost every night. So, you were excited to participate in this couple ritual again.

You were currently curled up on The Master’s chest, while he was lounging on his back in your shared bed. You were quite comfortable under a specially designed mini weighted blanket that The Master had gifted for you a couple of days ago. Though you were getting thirsty, and you didn’t have any water beside you. The water was all the way on the bedside table and for you, now the size of a doll, was a decent distance away.

You decided to not disturb The Master by walking in front of his face and blocking his eyesight from the book he was reading. So, you just decided to climb onto the pillows and behind The Master’s head. At the beginning of your travel to get some water, though, you slipped on the pillow and grabbed a piece of The Master’s hair to keep yourself from falling completely.

“Ow!” The Master yelped.

“Sorry!” You apologised but continued to climb onto the pillows (and The Master’s head) before finally reaching the bedside table and refreshing yourself with some nice cold water.

“That was my hair.” The Master looked over to you with a hint of a grimace lining his face.

“I needed something to help pull me up so I wouldn’t fall.”

“There are other things pulling my hair might help you with, love.” The Master mumbled while fiddling with the bookmark of the book.

“Turn me back to my usual size, then we’ll talk.” The Master looked back at you, but he didn’t respond. He just remained stone-faced. You drank a couple more gulps of water, and The Master still hadn’t said anything. He was just staring at your bittersweetly.

After you finished your small glass of water, The Master stretched out his hand to you and you climbed into his palm. The Master moved you back to his chest and you immediately cuddled under the blanket and clung to The Master’s clothes, eagerly waiting for The Master to continue reading.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Master told you that he would be stepping out of his office for a second. He said that he had to get something from one of his storage units and that he would be back soon, but he had been gone for longer than you expected, and you were now getting bored.

You decided to crawl out of The Master’s coat pocket, which was a bit difficult as it was bigger on the inside and explore his desk and the things he had been tinkering with. Once you escaped your roomy confines you shimmied down The Master’s coat and climbed onto the arm of the chair. You then hopped from the arm of the chair and onto the office table.

The Master would have been upset by you doing all of this. He hated when you would do anything dangerous, but that hatred grew when you had been shrunk by his TCE. The Master seemed so much more protective over you now than you had ever seen him before. It was cute, you thought, but sometimes you worried if The Master would ever let you out of his TARDIS once you were turned back to your original size.

Once on the table, you looked around at all of The Master’s little projects. Most of them were dangerous, so you never got too close to them, though you did find them interesting from afar.

Then you decided to look through The Master’s notes. Many of them were written in Gallifreyan, but some were either in English or another language that The TARDIS translated for you. The Master always tried to keep his knowledge of various languages strong, so he often wrote his notes in a mix of alphabets from across the Universe.

When you were rummaging through the random papers you suddenly saw a sheet about basic miniaturisation and deminiaturisation. It looked as if it was torn out of a book. T was then followed by The Master’s notes and plans on the subject. Obviously, you couldn’t read everything, but of the notes that you could read, it appeared that The Master figured out how to turn you back to your natural height. You will be back to your normal self!

There was a little note attached to the plans, though, covered in The Master’s rushed handwriting. So, before you got too excited about being yourself again, you read the note.

You were unaware if this note was originally written in Gallifreyan and The TARDIS was trying to help you read it by manually translating it, or if The Master had written it in an easily translatable language, but the notes stated:

‘You have to turn them back!’ That line was circled many times.

‘How about Tomorrow?

Tomorrow…

Next week!

Maybe a couple more days from now?

Just a few more days…’ Each of those lines had a line drawn through them.

‘At least turn them back before their birthday!’

You huffed as you walked away from the notes. You didn’t know how to feel. The Master had been so kind to you during this time, but he was also lying to you. He was keeping you weak. You began to breath rapidly as anger began to grow within you.

The Master suddenly walked through the door of his study in a happy mood, completely unaware of what you had just discovered. In fact, he was whistling as he tossed a random machine part up into the air and caught it with ease.

“Have you been waiting to turn me back?” You yelled in rage. The Master froze in place, his jaw dropping slightly.

“My love, let me explain …” The Master held up his hands defensively.

“How could you? You know how everything has been a struggle for me since this happened!”

“I know, but -”

“No buts! I don’t want to know what weird excuse you have, just turn me back!”

“You just looked so cute -” The Master tried to barter with you, but you weren’t going to listen to any of The Master’s manipulations. You just wanted to be yourself again.

“Now!”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You haven’t spoken to The Master for a couple of days now, not since he deminiaturisation you with his long-ago-repaired TCE. You needed to make The Master feel sorry for what he did to you, and it’s not like you could just ask him to drop you off at home. The Master wouldn’t allow that! So, the only option you had before you was the silent treatment.

The Master was in complete shambles without you. He was so used to taking care of you and you happily returning the favour that he didn’t know how to act without you paying attention to him.

You were currently in your room, which wasn’t the most optimal hiding spot, but it was comfortable. You had been sneaking around The TARDIS, thanks to her help, in secret passageways and hidden rooms. Though, you often stayed in your room whenever The Master was out looking for you. He would always return to your room after his search, in the hope that you were in there and would finally answer him.

“Please talk to me, my love. I am dying without you!” You heard The Master yell from the underside of your door. He had been yelling for you for about fifteen minutes and you were beginning to grow incredibly annoyed.

“You aren’t dying. You’re just being dramatic.”

“Y/n! Please let me in!” You heard The Master’s excitement upon hearing your voice again, but you weren’t going to give up your stalemate against the alien.

“No.”

“I’m sorry!”

“I don’t forgive you.”

“Please, I have been awake since you discovered the truth. I’ve tried to sleep, but I can never sleep soundly without you, you know that. Can please just take a nap together then you can go back to hiding from me.” You sighed heavily and then walked to the door of your room. You could see The Master’s fingers poking out from under the door. You were tempted to step on his fingers, but you pushed that thought away from your mind. That was too extreme of a reaction. So, you simply opened the door quickly, with a stone face, and before you saw The Master lying on his stomach on the floor.

“This better not be a trick.” You spoke with a cold tone that honestly scared the Time Lord. The Master quickly scrambled onto his knees and grabbed your hands pleadingly in his.

“I promise that this isn’t a trick, my love. I know that I should have helped you sooner and there are no excuses for why I didn’t. I have been agonising over the decisions I made, and I am so sorry. But I really need you.” The Master collapsed into you, nestled into your middle, and wrapped his arms around your waist tightly.

“Are you going to fall asleep on your knees or would you rather sleep in my bed?”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You snuggled into The Master’s chest, trying to get closer to him even though you were already incredibly close. You did miss him during your time apart even though you were still outrageously upset with him.

The two of you had slept for hours since reconnecting. The Master was still tired and drained, however, but he also just wanted to enjoy beginning in your presence once again. Every so often, The Master would brush his hand against your skin, feeling your warmth with longing. He really was sorry, but he loved taking care of you.

You shifted, trying to get comfortable. You were not able to find a position as comfortable as the ones you slept in when you would sleep on The Master’s chest or stomach when you were small, though. So, you huffed loudly.

“What are you thinking about?” The Master asked in his rough, sleepy voice.

“Sometimes I just wish I was small again.” You tried to scoot closer into The Master’s chest, again.

“Well, I could-”

“No!”

[Image Reads] Anonymous said - Hi! May i ask for a soft fic with the master where they hypnotize the reader?

I accidentally deleted the original request, so the image above is my copy.

Thank you so much for the request, anon! I enjoyed writing these. I think that they were all really cute!

I ended up writing multiple versions for this request because I didn't know which regeneration of The Master you wanted.

In the future, if anyone requests can you specify which regeneration or a couple for me to choose from. Or just stating that you don't have a preference of regeneration. Either way is fine for me, but knowing what you prefer eases my anxiety.

Below is the list of fics and when they will be posted. I will link them here once they are posted.

Soft Spot In The Hearts Of A Murderer

[Image Reads] Anonymous said - Hi! I’m not the person who requested the master x reader where she gets turned into a doll BUT I read it and it was so cute! I kinda need more, can I ask for a sequel? If you don't want to it's totally cool, love your account<3

I accidentally deleted the original ask, but here’s my copy of the request.

Thank you so much for the request anon! I really appreciate the fact that you enjoyed the first fic and that you requested. I am sorry that this too so long to write/post.

I ended up making this fic as more of a collection of scenes rather than a full connected fic. I really enjoyed writing this though, it was very fun and silly :) I hope that you enjoy it!

I will officially post My Baby Doll Part 2 tomorrow and I will link it HERE once I do.

Also, I will link My Baby Doll Part 1 HERE.

Thank you, again. And I hope you are all doing well! :)

Hi!

I've been debating doing this since the beginning of the year just because of some personal situations, school beginning again, and me being behind on requests.

But I will be closing my requests soon.

I will be accepting any requests for (about) the next two weeks to give you guys the opportunity to send in all the requests/thoughts you might have. And I will be accepting requests for open characters on my Characters That I Write For list.

I will be closing my requests on 1 February 2023.

I'm sorry if this upsets anyone. I don't really want to do this either, but I'm behind and a bit overwhelmed. I hope that you can understand, but I am really excited to hear your requests and thoughts!

And thank you to all the people that have requested things from me. I really appreciate that. I am working on all of your non-posted requests, I’ve just been a bit busy lately, but I will be posting things soon.

Look To The Future Now

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - After going to a Christmas party, The Reader drops off a present for The Master for Christmas and The Master returns the kindness.

Based On This Request -

Look To The Future Now

Warnings - The Master being drunk and lonely/self-deprecating/depressed, breaking into the reader’s apartment, some suggestive themes, some references to canon. This is a canon-divergent fic - The Power of The Doctor happened, but The Doctor didn’t regenerate and the reader and Yaz still travel with her.

Word Count - 3308

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested by this lovely anon! I got emotional writing this Christmas fic, too! I hope that you enjoy this and have an amazing Christmas!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Graham and Ryan were hosting the annual Christmas party this year. Before they decided to leave, you and the rest of your friends would have a little party in the TARDIS for the holidays before briefly returning to Earth to celebrate with your families and your friends. Graham extended this tradition to the group he started: the support group for previous companions of The Doctor.

The lot of you were cramped in Graham and Ryan’s home. Some companions didn’t join the party upon hearing that The Doctor would be there, though. They meant no ill will by it; they just weren’t ready to see their old alien friend again after so much time apart. Most of those who chose not to attend, in fact, bought The Doctor little trinkets and presents with notes containing apologies for their absences that Graham passed along to The Doctor.

Other than a few mentions of past trauma, everyone had a wonderful time at the party. There was delicious food, party games, and general kindness in the air.

You, however, weren’t having the best time. The festivities were happy and loving, but the number of people in attendance was draining. It was exciting to be with your new friends at the beginning of the party, but now you felt sluggish. All you wanted was to go home and sleep, but there was one stop you had to make before the night was over.

You had a gift prepared for The Master. And, obviously, you couldn’t just ask The Doctor to take you to The Master so you could give him a Christmas present. She would suspect you of being a spy if you did that. So you had to go through tons of shenanigans in order to get his present to him.

The Doctor dropped you off at your apartment and said her goodbyes and happy Christmases and planned for when she would pick you up again before leaving to drop some other people off at their homes. Once you knew that The Doctor was gone and not returning, you retrieved The Master’s gift and walked back out into the cold in order to enact your plan.

You had always been close to The Master since he was first introduced to you as O. You were a new companion to The Doctor at the time and The Master, or O rather, comforted you throughout the adventure and your dealings with the Kasaavin. Even after he revealed himself as The Master, he tried to be as comforting to you as possible, as possible as Time Lord can be when he knew that he was going to crash a plane.

You had O’s number from that adventure and when The Doctor went missing after everything that happened on Gallifrey you took a chance and texted The Master. Basically, you poured your heart out to him. You were so overwhelmed by everything that you had witnessed and been through and you didn’t know how to handle your life now that so much had changed. Graham and Ryan were supportive, but they didn’t understand what you were feeling, and like you, Yaz was breaking down over the loss of The Doctor.

It took a couple of days, but The Master responded. He said every word, every phrase, every feeling you needed to hear, and more. He would text you to make sure you were doing okay, and he would ask if you needed his help, even though he was trying to keep a low profile at the moment. When the two of you were free, The Master and you would call each other and talk about everything on your minds. He was the biggest support you had during that time in your life and part of you sensed that he felt the same way about you.

Eventually, the two of you meet up in person. Because you were aligned with The Doctor, even though you had a soft spot for The Master, you were weary of The Master’s motives. So you requested to meet up in a public place.

There was a little canal that ran through a cosy marketplace in your town. Oftentimes, people would go to the cafe or the bakery and then feed the ducks by the canal. You asked The Master to meet you at the canal and when you arrived, The Master was already sitting on a bench wrapped in Christmas lights feeding the ducks. You had bought The Master some hot chocolate from the cafe and some double chocolate muffins which he devoured; you worried if he was actually taking care of himself, but you were too scared to ask him that at the time.

Meeting on the little bench, permanently wrapped in Chritsmas lights, by the duck-filled canal became your routine meeting spot with The Master. So, it was the only logical location, in your mind, to leave The Master’s gift.

Finally, after walking a long way from your flat, you made it to the bench. It was very cold and dark out. The Christmas lights everywhere did make everything seem warmer, but every once in a while, the bitter wind would cut through many layers and make you wince.

You placed The Master’s present under the bench and placed a homing beacon on it. You had gotten the beacon from The Master. You were only supposed to use it in emergency circumstances only, but you made a telepathic wish to The Master’s TARDIS to take the beacon lightheartedly. Lastly, you left a thermos of hot chocolate and a small lunchbox filled with double chocolate muffins by the present. You made those instead of getting them from the cafe and the bakery by the canal so they would be fresher when The Master received them. If he received them. Your versions of the sweet treats probably weren’t as good in comparison, but you tried your best and you hoped that The Master would appreciate the sentiment. Now, you could return to your home and sleep.

After travelling back to your flat you walked in and sleepily fumbled out of your party clothes and into your sleep clothes. You kept the majority of your lights off, but you turned on your Christmas lights so you weren’t stumbling around in complete darkness. Sooner rather than later, you completely passed out under your many blankets that you had dragged onto your couch.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Master stumbled out of his TARDIS into the bitter cold wind of December. He was a bit tipsy and very upset. He wasn’t ignorant of The Doctor’s affinity for this time of the year and instead of trying to destroy the planet Earth, he chose to torture himself. He followed The Doctor and you on your adventures throughout the day. He was mainly just doing it to make fun of all the weird Humany Christmas stuff that you and The Extended Fam were getting up to, along with peering at your beauty, but then the two of you went to the party. That’s when The Master started drinking. Everyone looked so happy to be there partying on Christmas. And he was all alone and miserable.

The Master pouted away from stalking you and The Doctor’s companions when The Doctor and Yaz got caught under the mistletoe together. They bumbled around the encounter which made The Doctor roll his eyes in annoyance.

The Master certainly wasn’t jealous of The Doctor at that moment. He just wanted to be included in something like this, even though he hated holiday celebrations like that. He could have gotten stuck under the mistletoe with you if he had been invited. He would have liked that. Especially the part where he would get to see your shocked face upon realising the situation you were in. And kissing you, of course. Kissing you would obviously be the best part of that holiday ritual.

The Master was planning on going to some random planet and killing or taking over something in order to distress from witnessing you having fun without you. But then his TARDIS beeped rapidly and piloted him back to Earth.

“No! No. Listen to me, I am your Master, and you will obey me! We are not going back to Earth. What is up with you?” The Master drunkenly rambled as he tried to take back control of his ship.

The staggered through the semi-crowded streets of equally lonely drunk people until he got a ping on his TCE. It was a message from The TARDIS directing him into the middle of your town. He followed the directions that his TARDIS gave him until he stood in front of the bench he would always sit at until you arrived to join him with hot chocolate and muffins. The Master looked around, but you were nowhere to be seen. So why would his TARDIS lead him here?

“Why are you bringing me here? Y/n’s not here. What the point of making go to Earth when Y/n isn’t even present?!” The Master telepathically yelled at his ship while dramatically, and drunkenly, looked around to see if you were hiding somewhere.

“Look under the bench, Master.” If The TARDIS had eyes, she would have rolled them dramatically at his antics.

“Don’t take that tone with me! I don’t believe in Human Christmas, but there is no need for you to be so glib on a day like today.”

Despite his pouty attitude, The Master did as he was told and looked under the bench. To his surprise, he found a neat-looking present with a thermos and a lunchbox beside it. He turned off the homing beacon before briefly inspecting what was before him. The present was a decently sized box in purple wrapping paper with a bronze-coloured ribbon tied around it. There was also a little tag attached with ‘The Master’ written on it in your handwriting. Have you gotten him a present? Impossible! You wouldn’t have done that for him. This must be a cruel trick by The Doctor or one of The Master’s enemies. This definitely wasn’t your kindness.

Despite his scepticism, The Master took the presents that were apparently his. He carefully tucked the present under his arm, while delicately carrying the thermos and lunchbox in his hands, and headed back to his ship in order to examine the present more thoroughly.

The Master, impatiently, chose to investigate the present by the console instead of walking all the way to his study. He was tired and sad and believed that this was just a cruel joke that he wanted to get over with as soon as possible.

The Master opened the thermos first. He smelled the liquid inside expecting it to smell like poison, but it smelled like the hot chocolate you made for him that one time the two of you got rained out and had to rush to your apartment in order to simulate the routine the two of you had built together. He then opened the lunchbox and saw muffins similar to the ones that you always bought him. The Master was beginning to believe that this was actually a present from you, but for both his physical and emotional safety he couldn’t be positive until he ran some tests.

The Master talked absentmindedly while doing some exams over the box and the food and drink. The TARDIS beeped impatiently. She believed him to be ridiculous and just wanted him to properly enjoy all of the work and care you put into this gift. The Master sensed her annoyance.

“What? Do you want this probable bomb to explode and kill us both?”

“It’s just a present, Master! It’s from Y/n. There is no need to act like this.”

The Master sighed. Part of him wanted this to all be a trick. He had grown used to people hating him, using him, betraying him. It would make sense for you to do the same. He didn’t know how to be good for you. He didn’t know how to be who you needed. If all of this was a trick, then he wouldn’t have to face his fears of being an inferior potential partner to you.

“Are you positive?” The Master asked vulnerably.

“Y/n wouldn’t trick you. Y/n would never do something like that to you, Master. You know that.” The TARDIS beeped reassuringly.

The Master sighed again, but, finally, he opened your gift.

Inside was a vinyl record, Nightflight to Venus by Boney M., and a Russian doll painted to look like him in his Rasputin costume. The Master moved from the console to one of his sofas to get a better look at the gifts while enjoying the treats you made for him. The Master then opened up the record in order to play the album and when he looked at the songbook, he saw that you had written a little note around on the page dedicated to the song “Rasputin.”

‘I should be really upset about everything that happened that day, but you look surprisingly amazing in that costume, and I was completely mesmerised by your dancing! :)’

The Master smirked then picked up the Russian doll to see if you had hidden any other sweet notes inside. He separated that body and saw that the next doll looked like him in his seismology professor outfit with, as he expected, a little note in between the layers.

‘I need you to one day explain what Ace meant by “when I last saw you, you used to be half cat” comment.’

The Master laughed at that note. He didn’t think that you were ready for that conversation yet. The next layer of the Russian doll was painted to look like The Master in his purple outfit that he wore on Gallifrey. This note was much more sentimental.

‘I will never be able to understand the full history between you and The Doctor, but I hope that you understand that I am here for you if you ever need someone to talk to or just be with.’

The Master took a deep breath before removing that layer and moving on to the next which looked like the outfit he wore when he was captured by the Kasaavin.

‘I am so sorry that you had to spend seventy-seven years alone.’

Again, The Master paused before continuing. He enjoyed both the flirty and the caring moments he got to experience with you, but sometimes the kinder moments startled him. He wasn’t used to that sort of attitude being directed his way, even though he loved knowing that you felt this way toward him.

The penultimate layer was painted to look like him in the tux he wore to Barton’s party during your first adventure together.

‘You looked amazing in that tux! You should wear stuff like that more often.’

Again, The Master chuckled at your note. But he assumed that you wrote something more sentiment for the next layer and he tried to prepare himself.

The final layer was him in the outfit he wore as O when the two of you first met. And he was right about the sentimentality of your note.

‘Sometimes I wish that we had met under different circumstances. Not in a bad way, but sometimes I worry that The Doctor’s perception of you clouded my early image of you. I’m sorry about that, Master.’

The Master upon first look thought that the final doll was solid wood, but after turning it around in his fingers in thought over your notes he noticed that it opened as well. Inside, there was a full letter from you, not just a little note.

Master,

I didn’t really know whether to be funny or cute with the comments and notes, so I just kinda did both. But I want you to know that I do care about you. I really do.

It is really difficult to still be friends with The Extended Fam and The Doctor while also being interested in you, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I care about you and don’t care about what they have to say.

Sometimes I wish that they would just try to understand you, but I’m afraid that they won’t. I’ll be here, though. As long as you’ll have me. I’ll be here.

Anyway, I hope that you have an amazing Christmas, Master, and a very happy New Year!

With care,

Y/n

The Master jumped up from his seat and ran to the console, but The TARDIS had already piloted him to your apartment. He was emotional, of course, but why should he wallow in his TARDIS alone when he could be with you and return the feelings you had expressed to him?

Once he was by your flat, The Master knocked frantically on your door, but you didn’t answer. The Master grew impatient and fearful. Something could have happened to you, but if nothing had and you were just busy, that didn’t matter. The Master needed to see you now!

The Master broke into your flat with his TCE and manically began looking for you. Thankfully for him, he didn’t have to look very far as you were sleeping soundly on your couch. The Master let out a sigh of relief and closed the door to your flat as quietly as possible. He then walked over to your couch and sat with his back on the armrest closest to where your head was.

The sadness of the day, the alcohol, and the surprise and happiness of you giving The Master a Christmas gift all caught up to him at once and he just felt incredibly tired. So, The Master leaned his head back on the arm of the couch and quickly fell asleep.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You stirred back into the world of awakeness after having a beautiful dream about spending a Christmas with The Master with no sneaking around or hiding or secret meetings. It was just the two of you being together with no judgment. It was a beautiful dream, but like all beautiful dreams, it ended too soon.

To your surprise, when you awoke you saw The Master sleeping in a sitting position against your couch, his head resting uncomfortably against the arm of it.

“Master … Master!” You shook The Master awake.

“Y/n! What time is it?”

“About three in the morning. What are you doing here?”

“I wanted to thank you for the present.”

“You didn’t need to do that. I just wanted to do something nice for you.” You readjusted yourself on the couch from kind of lying down position to one where you were fully sitting up and you placed your hand on the armrest. The Master then rested his head against your hand.

“Are you still tired?” The Master nodded against your hand.

“You can sleep in my bed if you want. It would be better than sleeping on the floor against the arm of the couch.” The Master gave you a hooded look; a look that gave the impression that he was about to pounce on you. But something in his eyes changed mid glance, they became softer, more thoughtful.

“We could always go back to my TARDIS. Get you a room. Or just have you stay in mine.” You looked into the eyes of the Time Lord before you for a moment, inspecting to see if he was telling you the truth or tricking you. A wide smile spread across your face upon feeling the truth radiating from him.

“Seeing and sleeping in The Doctor’s Best Enemy’s bedroom … That would be quite the Christmas present!” And with that, The Master carried you to his TARDIS for the night or however long you wished to stay with him. Your life and relationship with The Master had only just begun!

And His Heart Grew Three Sizes That Day

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - After everything that happened in the universe, you just wanted a calm Christmas with everyone you cared about, including The Master.

Based On This Request -

image

Warnings - The Doctor and The Extended Fam being a bit rude, The Master feeling depressed, some suggestive bits, some references to season 12 canon. This is a canon divergent fic - let’s forget that The Power of The Doctor happened for a bit.

Word Count - 4593

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested by @sessa23. Thank you so much for this request! I really enjoyed writing it, even though it made me emotional. I hope that you enjoy this and have a great Christmas!

------------------------------------------------------------

It was almost time for everyone to arrive, and you were dreading the decisions you had made leading up to this day. Even How The Grinch Stole Christmas playing in your living room couldn’t calm you down!

A couple of weeks ago, after The Doctor had brought you, Dan, and Yaz home for the beginning of the holiday season, you had the brilliant idea to host a Christmas dinner for everyone. And your tired, adrenaline and adventure-muddled brain meant everyone, including The Master.

You had plenty of opportunities to change your mind and not invite The Master or uninvite him even, but you could never bring yourself to do it. Despite how The Master treated The Doctor and The Extended Fam, he tried to treat you with the utmost respect, always.

You don’t think The Doctor knew, or if she did, she didn’t tell you, but you had texted and written to The Master many times. He initiated contact first. He was supercilious and threatening, with an undertone of flirting, during his first message to you. You knew that he meant to scare you, even though he was probably joking. You didn’t respond to his threat, though. Instead, you asked him where he had found his coat; you declared your desire to have a coat like that, seeing how warm it looked on him. This began a series of communications between the two of you. You talked about everything, including your shared pain of being ignored by The Doctor.

It was probably dangerous for you to share such personal information with an intergalactic criminal, but you couldn’t stop. The Master just seemed to understand you on a deeper level than The Fam and definitely more than The Doctor ever could.

Things became serious between the two of you, though, when the two of you began calling and face-timing each other. Again, he called you first. You were having a panic attack over something minor in retrospect, and somehow The Master knew and called you to help you. He took your panic very seriously and quickly calmed you down. Now, on top of your regular texts and letters, you and The Master called nearly every night before you, at least, went to bed and sometimes in the morning or throughout the day.

It never seemed to cross your mind why The Master was so attached to you until today. Finally, you realised that he was lonely. You obviously couldn’t assume everything, but after all the conversations you had with The Master, you came to the conclusion that he was, at least, a bit remorseful for the things he did and he just wanted, or needed, someone to want him in return. Maybe he was only remorseful because he had accidentally hurt you in the past because of your closeness with The Doctor. Either way, The Doctor was wrong about him; The Master wasn’t an irredeemable monster. You just hoped that putting The Master in this environment today wouldn’t trigger him. For his sake, you hoped that this Christmas dinner went smoothly.

You were setting up your dining room table for the fourth time when Graham and Ryan arrived at your flat. You were glad that they arrived first. Graham especially always managed to calm you down. He was probably the person you opened up to the most other than The Master. Your relationships between the two obviously weren’t comparable, but Graham was definitely a support person for you.

After placing some presents under your Christmas tree and putting some food away, Graham helped you organise the table to where it wasn’t so cluttered and busy while Ryan prepared the three of you some drinks.

Dan arrived next, with a bundle of presents under one arm and a stack of tin boxes filled to the brim with homemade cookies in the other. A bag filled with Christmas crackers hung precariously from one of his pinkies.

Yaz arrived with The Doctor, which didn’t surprise you. It seemed to not surprise Dan, Graham and Ryan either, so you were happy to not be the only one to see the obvious connection between the two. The Doctor had brought some alien dish that you were frankly scared to eat, while Yaz made up for that by bringing two large dishes that looked delicious.

You still hadn’t told any of your friends of the other suspected guest, however, The Master still wasn’t there, and it had been about half an hour since he was supposed to arrive. Maybe he wasn’t going to come. If he wasn’t, there was no need to tell your friends that you had invited someone that tried to murder them on multiple occasions to Christmas dinner. You could just enjoy the day with them and stop stressing about losing them as long as they didn’t ask any questions.

“Why do you have an extra seat set up, Y/n?” Yaz asked after the current conversation the six of you were having dried up.

“Oh, I just think that the table looks better that way. If I don’t set up that seat, then it just feels weird.” You lied, but you hoped that no one would question you too much.

“That makes sense. One of my previous regenerations was like that! You would've gotten along well with him.” The Doctor stated before slurping up the neon green, spindly food of the alien dish she brought.

You were going to ask about The Doctor’s previous regeneration because you loved hearing about her past even though she rarely talked about it, but then there was a knock on your door. You thought it was a neighbour at first, but then three more knocks followed. It was him. The Master actually showed up.

“Who’s that?” Yaz questioned.

“Maybe carolers?” Dan pondered out loud.

“I’ll get the door! Everyone stay here. Enjoy the meal.” You jumped up from your seat and ran to the door of your apartment. You opened it frantically to see an anxious-looking Master. You had never seen him like that before and worry instantly washed over you.

“Happy Christmas.” You commented in the hope that it might ease his worry, but it did not.

“Yeah, happy Christmas.”

“Are you alright?” You were about to reach out to hold his arm reassuringly, but you decided against it.

“Everyone else is here, aren’t they?”

“Yeah. I didn’t tell them that you were coming, just in case …”

“Just in case I backed out. I’m not The Doctor, love. I don’t do that to the people I care about.”

“Are you ready to meet them or … ?” You cut yourself off when you heard The Doctor shout about what was taking so long.

“I think we should just get the confrontational bit over with. I am starving and I heard that you Humans eat loads at Christmas!” The Master bumped your shoulder reassuringly as he showed himself into your flat. He wanted to try and seem calm for you so as to not worry you more than you clearly already were. He looked around for a bit, fascinated by being in your space and finally seeing how you live. After closing your apartment door and pulling The Master away from sneaking away to look into your bedroom or break into The Doctor’s TARDIS, you lead The Master to your kitchen and to all of your other guests.

“Who was at the door, Y/n? Are we expecting someone else?” You stuttered for a moment, unsure really of what to say. You had not prepared enough for this part of the day. You felt The Master walk up behind you and into the kitchen. You then saw the faces of your friends contort into various forms of fear, disgust, anger and confusion.

“Hello. Happy Christmas, everyone.” The Master gave an awkward wave to your friends as he anxiously shifted back and forth on his feet.

“Y/n, can I speak with you for a moment?” The Doctor asked, but it wasn’t a question. She was already beginning to stand from her chair and walk out of the kitchen.

“Of course, Doctor. Master, you can sit in the open seat next to mine.” The Doctor and the Master glared at each other when they passed. The Doctor felt betrayed that you would invite him here. The Master was just upset that The Doctor was choosing to ruin your holidays with bickering.

“Why did you invite him here, Y/n?” The Doctor asked angrily once the two of you were alone and as far away from your kitchen as possible.

“Because I wanted to.”

“Y/n?”

“Isn’t Christmas a time for forgiveness, Doctor? And besides, no one should be alone on Christmas, including him.” The Doctor sighed as if she were trapped. She understood your position, but she continued to be sceptical of The Master’s motives. But it was Christmas, so maybe he deserved one more chance.

“I don’t like that you’ve done this.”

“Fine, but can we yell at each other later and just enjoy ourselves today?” The Doctor nodded defeatedly. Then you and The Doctor walked back into the kitchen in silence. You could tell from the faces of The Master and your friends that they all heard your conversation, and frankly, you didn’t care. The Master was there for you when you needed him, probably more than The Doctor and The Fam had, and you didn’t care who knew about it.

It was uncomfortably silent while the seven of you ate. This isn’t what you wanted. You don't know why, but every time you imagined today, the seven of you were happy and joking around. No one would be mentioning the Kasaavin or Gallifrey or the Timeless Child; it would just be a fun day between unlikely friends. It was just seven people with a lot of trauma having a bit of fun. But you now thought that to be a naive daydream and you cursed yourself for setting this whole dinner up.

You felt The Master bump the side of your leg with his knee. You looked over at him. The Master, you could tell, was trying to ask you if you were alright without using telepathy. He knew that The Doctor would have called him out for doing that if he had. You smiled at him before returning to stare at your food. You didn’t want him to know how upset you were.

The atmosphere was still incredibly tense. You racked your brain for a moment about how to salvage the day because the food wasn’t working. But nothing popped into your head. You couldn’t take it anymore. You felt like the day was ruined, that all of your friends were disappointed in you, and that you had forced The Master into a difficult situation for no reason. You needed to get out of this suffocating environment. You stood up abruptly and left the room.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“What are you doing here?” The Doctor immediately sneered at her best enemy as soon as you had left the room.

“Y/n invited me.”

“You are planning something! I know it! You’ve hypnotised Y/n in order to get closer to us and you are planning something horrible and deadly!”

“I just want to be here because Y/n invited me.”

“No. It’s got to be more than that. Everything you have ever done in your life alludes to you doing something colossal! You would never do anything out of the kindness of your hearts!” The Doctor pointed her finger accusingly before slamming her hand down on the table.

The Master took a deep breath in order to calm himself down after withstanding to The Doctor’s tirade. He wanted to explode on The Doctor; to pull out his TCE and shoot his best enemy in each one of her hearts, but he wouldn’t ruin your Christmas like that. The Master took another deep breath before responding.

“As I stated before, Doctor, if you ever listen, I am here because Y/n invited me. And I didn’t want to disappoint them on Christmas. I’ve heard that holidays during this season of the year are fairly important in Human culture.”

An awkward silence fell over the table. The Doctor was glaring at her companions to back her up for support, but they remained silent. Even though they had been hurt by The Master in the past, and they were currently sceptical of him, but it was Christmas. They just wanted to have a calm and loving holiday season with their friends and families. The Master hung his head low and was wishing for your swift return.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You initially left the freakishly silent table to just have a breath alone, just in case the tears you were fighting won the battle. You spun around your living room, looking for where you had placed your tissues, and then you caught a glimpse of your Christmas tree, which had many presents beneath it. You grabbed the lot and returned to the kitchen.

“You don’t have to open them now. I just wanted to give them to you before I forgot. Not to mention that this might defuse some of the tension.”

You handed each person their presents. The Master did a double take when you initially handed him his present. He didn’t think that he would be included in the majority of the holiday festivities, let alone this one. He held the present carefully, delicately in his lap. He couldn’t stop staring at it as if it were his most prized possession.

The Doctor almost instantaneously seemed to forget her anger towards The Master and immediately opened her present, which didn’t surprise you. But you breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing The Doctor return to her usual childlike self.

“Oh! It’s present time! Amazing. I’ll get my gifts for everyone! Do you want me to get yours, Yaz?” Dan jovially questioned.

“I’ll get mine and The Doctor’s. Ryan? Graham? What about you two?” Yaz responded.

“I’ll get the presents from the both of us, son.” Graham sounded as he joined in the present retrieving.

Once everyone exchanged presents, Graham and Yaz thanked you and tucked their presents away to open up once they got home. You did similarly to them and put your presents under your chair for later. Ryan and Dan, however, followed The Doctor’s lead and opened their presents as soon as their hands were on them, Ryan more rambunctiously so. The Master just continued to stare down at his present in disbelief. He couldn’t remember the last time someone gifted him something. The Master was going to refuse the present and give it back to you because he didn’t deserve it, but then Dan gave a raucous cheer upon opening Graham’s present to him. It was a brand new and expensive wok.

“Y/n relayed your handiwork with a wok.” Graham said, causing Dan to chuckle in response. But unfortunately, silence quickly returned to the table once the gift exchange was over. To your surprise, The Master was the first to speak up.

“I’m sorry that I don’t have anything to give any of you. I’m not particularly knowledgeable about Christmas and its specific traditions, or any holidays around this time of the year really.”

“That’s perfectly fine, Master. I’m just happy that you’re here with all of us.” You smiled at him genuinely.

“Yeah, you not leaving us on a crashing plane is present enough.”

“Graham!”

“I’m sorry. I-”

“There’s no need to apologise. I haven’t exactly been a joy to be around for the majority of you. So, I’m not going to be petty about just retaliation.” The Master spoke sullenly, and it broke your heart. Yes, he hurt The Fam and The Doctor and threatened them, but you could see that he was trying. You just wished that your friends could see that, too. You laid a hopefully reassuring hand on The Master’s shoulder, but then you felt him tense beneath you and saw that all of your friends gave you pointed looks. So, you removed your hand.

Dan then coughed awkwardly. He didn’t know much about The Master’s antics, mostly just what Yaz had told him, and he just wanted to have a good day with his friends. Despite The Doctor’s trepidation and Yaz’s ice-cold stare, Dan saw The Master as a friend because The Master was a friend of yours. Dan also noticed all the trouble you were putting into the event, and he just wanted to try and help you in cheering everyone up.

“I brought some homemade cookies from my parents and some crackers, too.”

“May I join in this festivity?” The Master asked politely as Dan retrieved a tin of cookies for the table.

“Of course, mate. They’re for everyone.” Dan clapped The Master on the back. You gave The Master a look to not comment and thankfully he just enjoyed the cookies while Dan and Yaz began handing out some Christmas crackers.

Maybe it was the presents or maybe the crackers, or even the cookies, or maybe it was just Dan being friendly and nice as always that helped lighten the general mood of the room. All of you ended up talking about fun things and laughing at random stories. Everyone even enjoyed the stories The Master told. And there was no talk of the bad things that The Master had done in the past, only the fun and funny things.

Yaz and Ryan opened a couple of bottles of wine, everyone pulled some Christmas crackers. You exchanged prizes and paper crowns and all of you seemed to be thoroughly enjoying yourselves. Everyone in attendance had wide smiles and full stomachs and so many presents and knickknacks to take home.  But unfortunately, the day had to end.

“Despite the  … surprises … I had a brilliant time! Absolutely brilliant.” The Doctor said before giving you a ‘goodbye’ hug.

“Thank you, Doctor.”

“I can’t wait to do this next year!” Ryan excitedly shouted.

“Well, I don’t know about that …” The Doctor muttered softly, but you and The Master both heard.

“Oh, come on, Doc, you just said that you had a good time.” Graham countered as your friends clambered into the TARDIS and said their final goodbyes. The Master, though, hung behind in your apartment for a moment to have a quiet conversation alone with you.

“Thank you for inviting me. You obviously didn’t have to. But I very much appreciate it.” The Master handed you the present you have given him.

“Do you not want it?” You were hurt. You put so much effort into the day and the present. You wanted him to enjoy it and to see how much you cared for him.

“Of course I want it. I just don’t deserve it, Y/n.” You sighed at The Master’s self-deprecation. Thankfully he wasn’t rejecting you, but you hated seeing him this sad. That was part of the point of the present, to cheer The Master up during the holiday season.

“Just take it, Master, please. It’s Christmas.” You forced the present back into The Master’s hands and then tackled him into a hug.

“And take care of yourself, Master.” You kissed The Master's cheek and with that, the two of you said your goodbyes for the day.

The Master walked away from your flat bittersweetly. He didn’t know how to process the event that just occurred to him. He felt like he experienced a fever dream of a day filled with his wildest dreams and his deepest fears. And he still had a present to open, so the turmoil of emotions he experienced today were likely not finished turning in his brain.

When he arrived in his TARDIS, The Master brought your present out of his bigger-on-the-inside pocket and stared at it again. You were too sweet for your own good. First, you invited him to join you in your Christmas celebrations, then you got him a gift. Unbelievable! It was as if you were begging for The Master to become obsessed with you.

The Master carefully untied the purple bow and carefully unwrapped the wrapping paper in an attempt to not rip it. The Master wouldn’t describe himself as a hoarder, even though other people had, but he wanted to keep every part of this gift to remember it, and your effort and kindness, properly.

You got him a couple of sets of purple and orange socks. He smiled at this. You noticed his proclivity for statement socks. He took one pair out of the box and observed how heavy it was, not like any pair of socks he had before. He wondered if these were some new Human inventions, weighted socks, maybe made for anxiety havers. The Master then looked inside the socks and saw that there was an item inside them. Before discovering what you had hidden inside the pair of socks he first held, he looked into the other pairs you had given him and, like the first pair, you had hidden more gifts in those socks.

Upon unrolling each pair of socks, The Master found that you had also gifted him a pair of expensive-looking cufflinks, a quaint key chain with a Spotify code of one of his favourite Human songs, “Rasputin”, and a small rubber ducky wearing an “I raided Area 51” shirt. He rolled his eyes at the last gift. He never should have told you that he was actually responsible for that “meme”. Under all of the socks was an illustrated copy of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. If the socks were anything to go by, you hid something in the book. And The Master was correct. In the section where Dorothy’s house flies up into the air because of the tornado, The Master found a letter addressed to him.

Just like the box, he opened the letter with care. In your handwriting, written by a purple inked pen, you wrote:

Master,

I never want to intrude when it comes to you and your personal space and needs, but I want you to know that you are always welcome at my flat and in my life. I’m not going to judge you or pressure you or rat you out to The Doctor in any way. I just want you to have someone, and I hope that I could be that someone for you.

I know that things are complicated because of your long history with The Doctor and, more recently, everything revolving around the Kasaavin and Gallifrey. But I have really appreciated all of our communications with each other. I actually felt seen and heard by you, and I hope I made you feel the same way. Maybe I could one day get everyone else to see the softer, more caring and more protective side of yourself that you so often hide. You probably wouldn’t like that, though. But thank you for allowing me to see that side of you. I really do love talking with you, and I appreciate everything you have done for me.

I hope to see you again, preferably in a non-threatening environment. :)

Happy Holidays

Y/n

The Master sighed deeply trying to hold back his tears, but apparently, his emotions won over his resolve. The Master burst into tears. Emotions from decades and centuries that he had pushed down now rose up and flowed through him; his loneliness and isolation all becoming painfully aware to him as he read your letter. You really were the only person he had at this moment, maybe in his entire life. The Master would have to prove his worth to you properly. Get you a coat like his, at the very least.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You stumbled out of your room, still dizzy from sleep, to answer your door. An incessant knocking woke you up from where you had fallen asleep while watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Despite being incredibly drained from the anxiety of the day, you tried to cheer yourself up with some Christmas spirit. You grew incredibly annoyed, however, when there was no one behind your front door. You looked around; no one was down the hall, no one left anything for you, not even a note on the door!

You shut your door, disgruntled, but made your way back to your room. You stopped suddenly in your path, though, upon seeing something previously not there out of the corner of your eye. Under your Christmas tree sat a square, purple box tied up securely in gold ribbon.

You strode up to the box and investigated it curiously. It looked safe, but you were still cautious.  Before opening the box, you opened the letter, addressed to you, which was placed on top.

My Darling Y/n,

If I had more time to plan, I would gift you something more sufficient in order to repay you for your overly caring nature. Though, I hope that this will make do for the time being. You may find some extra goodies hidden throughout, but I intend to spoil you greatly with many more gifts in the future.

With love,

Your caring Master

Of course, it was The Master! You smiled from ear to ear both because he got you a gift and because he reciprocated your feelings, but also because he opened your present and enjoyed Christmas dinner.

You carefully, but quickly and excitedly, opened the present The Master had given you. To your wonderment, The Master had gifted you either his purple coat or a coat that looked incredibly similar. You quickly threw the beautifully crafted coat around you, and it instantly warmed you.

You couldn’t help yourself; you were so excited that you had to jump up and down and squeal in pure joy. You then skipped to your full-body mirror and snapped a photo of yourself modelling your Christmas gift.

You sent the picture to The Master, along with the text: ‘I look quite dashing, doncha think? ;)’

The Master instantly peered down at his Human phone, which he kept in order to communicate with you, as soon as he received your message. He smirked and then sent back a reply.

‘Incredibly so! Dare I say, dashing enough to conquer the Universe?’

‘I wouldn’t go that far. I was thinking more of a sexy stranger at a cosy bar…’ You removed your sleep shirt before putting the coat back on, revealing a good portion of your chest. You also moved to take the picture in your bathroom mirror instead in order to hide your Christmas pyjama pants.

‘You absolutely fit that role to a T, love! I hope to see you in that environment and in  that coat in the future.’

‘Oh, you will, Master.’

‘Good. ;) Now be a good little Human and get to bed. It might be Christmas, but you must go to bed at a reasonable time.’ You rolled your eyes at his protective nature, but you knew that he was right.

‘Only if you get a good night’s sleep, too, Master.’

‘That coat must have given you my talent for finagling and manipulation, love.’

‘Nope! That was all you!’

‘The Doctor would be horrified’

‘Let her be.’ The Master genuinely smiled down at his phone and the conversation he was having with you. You were so special to him. He didn’t need gifts or Christmas dinner or flirty texts, even, The Master just needed you in his life. You were the best Christmas present The Master could have asked for.

‘Happy Christmas, Y/n!’

‘Happy Christmas, Master!’

My Brave Little Human

Dhawan!Master x Reader

------------------------------------------------------------

You could feel the Cybermasters staring at you. You knew that they now consumed the flesh of Gallifreyans, but, because of the way that their blank black eyes were following your movements, you assumed that part of their hardwire was still enticed by Humans. Or maybe the Cybermasters still retained some of their Gallifreyan memories and they did not understand why you, a Human, were the companion of The Master. Either way, you didn’t like them, and you wished that you weren’t here in their presence.

“Oh, but we have one more surprise in store for you, Doctor.” You could see from your hiding spot that The Master jumped up onto the platform where The Doctor was imprisoned. He got close to her to taunt her as he spoke. It looked as though he was looking through her, trying to see if he had already broken her or if his next act would accomplish that. Suddenly, The Master turned on his heel to look directly at you. His face was still tainted with hatred for The Doctor, but his face quickly morphed into comfort upon seeing you.

“Come forward, my love.” You looked around at the Cybermasters, some of whom were glaring at The Doctor, some followed The Master’s every move, and the others continued to watch you. You looked back at the Master. He turned slightly further to where The Doctor could not see his face, and he looked at you softly and motioned for you to come forward. You only moved a few steps forward before The Master turned to taunt The Doctor some more.

“My brave little Human, being so strong for their Master. They never aligned themselves with you, Doctor. They were always on my side. How does it feel, Doctor, knowing that someone you considered to be your friend was my companion all along.” The Doctor struggled to utter something, but she eventually managed.

“T-that’s not true.”

The Doctor’s eyes flickered to you where you had halted because a Cybermaster got too close to you, which caused you to freeze in place. The Master followed his best enemy’s eyes and saw you curling into yourself and cowering away from the closest Cybermaster.

The Master immediately rushed down the steps of the platform to you. He shooed the surrounding Cybermasters away from you. The Master brushed the palm of his hand against your cheek as a question of whether or not you were okay with him connecting with you telepathically. You nodded into The Master’s hand.

The Master placed his forehead against yours and reached his hands up to stroke your temples. You could feel him knocking on your consciousness. You let him in and instantly a wave of calm passed over you. You heard him speak in your mind.

“You are safe with me, love.”

“They scare me, Master.”

“I know, but they will never hurt you. Especially with me here to protect you.”

“But what if -”

“Shhh now, love. You have to trust me.” You fell into The Master’s arms and wrapped yourself around him. The Master quickly returned the favour and wrapped his arms around your torso tightly. You could feel him rest his head on to of yours and rub his hands up and down your back.

“I’m sorry for ruining your plans, Master.”

“You haven’t ruined anything.”

“You wanted to be intimating. Cuddling me isn’t intimidating.”

“Well, it would prove a point to The Doctor, while also getting you away from my pesky Cybermasters.”

“What do you mean?”

“Walk with me, love, please.”

The Master pried you off of him, but then tightly clasped your hand in his. The Master led you to the centre of the platform in front of the trapped Doctor and wrapped his arms around you, again. He pushed your head against his chest so the beat of his hearts could calm you. The Master then began to rub his hands up and down your back, as he did before.

“See Doctor, Y/n has always been my companion. They are my brave little Human and I am their strong Master.”

“N-no -”

“Don’t struggle, Doctor, it’s not worth it. Everything is over for you.” The Master then directed his attention back to you. He tilted your chin up with his fingers.

“Now, what should we do, my love? Entrap The Doctor in our TARDIS, destroy her here and now, or something else?” You tried to turn your head to get a glimpse of the Cybermasters, but The Master grabbed your jaw force you to look at him. This, plus the telepathic connection still being present, The Master got his answer. The Master suddenly picked you up and carried you back to his TARDIS.

“Guard The Doctor until I return. Kill her if she tried to escape and kill anyone who tries to save her. I’ll be back in a moment.” The Master stated toward the Cybermasters, who instantly jumped into action.

“Where are we going?”

“Just a little mid-scheme break in the TARDIS, my love. Then I will go back and destroy my best enemy.” The Master walked to his TARDIS, with you still in his strong arms, and piloted the two of you to a different time and a different area in space. Once The TARDIS landed, The Master then carried you to your shared bedroom and laid you down on your and The Master’s shared bed.

“What about me? What will I do?” The Master climbed into bed with you and placed a kiss on your forehead. The Master then manoeuvred you to where you were laying in his arms and facing him.

“You are so brave for me, my little Human, but I don’t want you around those pesky Cybermasters. I can feel your fear for them. I don’t want to continue to put you through that, so you will stay here in The TARDIS. Our point was fully made to The Doctor, you’re mine. You helped me show her the truth beautifully.” The Master caressed your face lovingly, trying to express all his love, care, and protectiveness for you.

“Are you sure that everything is going to be okay?”

“Everything is going to work out perfectly, my love. Now, let’s take a little nap, yeah?” You nodded, then nuzzled yourself into The Master’s torso. The Master immediately wrapped his strong arms around you and held you tightly as the two of you slept off the fear and adrenaline of the stressful situation the two of you were just in.

Kidnapping Dates

Dhawan!Master x Reader

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master stalked the cold, rainy streets of New London, New Earth. He was there to gain more information about The Doctor for his next scheme, or, at least, that’s what he told himself. Because every time The Doctor was in view, instead of analysing her every move for weakness, he was trying to secretly look past her and her other companions to get even the tiniest glimpse of you. You and The Doctor’s Fam were walking in the middle of the town’s main street with The Doctor leading the herd. The Master was finding it difficult to continue to follow you and the conversation while hiding behind vendors and their carts, trying to lure in tourists, but he managed well enough. He was certain that he looked insane, tarnishing his ego, but he hadn’t seen you properly yet. The Master hadn’t seen you in so long and he just had to see you.

You were cocooned within the herd of companions as if they knew that you were the favoured prey. The Fam had adapted to doing that, keeping you hidden. You were always the target of The Master’s kidnappings, every single one, so they always kept you protected and in eyesight. Except for The Doctor who seemed more inclined to show off than to express overt worry. You always blamed her social awkwardness, but The Master considered it to be plain ignorance. Nevertheless, The Doctor continued her tour guide-like speech about the area.

“Actually, believe it or not, this is the fifteenth Earth since the original. So, we are actually walking on the New New New -” The Doctor continued to rattle off a string of ‘new’s until her point was reached. The Master scoffed at her ridiculousness, how she was always like this, trying to impress Humans with nonsense. He grew even more aggravated when he finally saw your face and how amazed you looked, with bright and shiny eyes filled with wonder. He couldn’t wait for the opportunity to finally get you alone, so he could kidnap you. He ventured to think that maybe one day he could make your eyes shine like that because of something he showed you, but he quickly abandoned that thought. He ignored its meanings and returned to focusing on the task at hand: kidnapping you and terrifying The Doctor and her little pets.

The form of The Fam’s protective bubble loosened slightly. You were still in the middle of their protective circle, but the form was stretched out between two vendor carts. You were still too well guarded for The Master to make a proper move, but as he planned, an eruption of screams was heard from down the street. Quickly those screams came closer and closer to The Doctor, her Fam, and you. The Master had enlisted the help of an emerging villain who was recently wronged by The Doctor to interrupt this adventure. The Master trained them in ferociousness, revenge, and villainy, all in turn for the monster to not hurt you. He made that caveat very clear. If The Master were to be interrogated about this encounter, he would deny the fact that he told his one-time business partner that if they harmed you in any way, he would kill them without hesitation. Death was always a spectacular threat to use in order to get what you wanted, at least in The Master’s mind it was.

The monster, a disgusting beast with long sharp teeth, and even longer, sharper nails, ripped through the crowd of people, wounding the ones not fast enough to get away. The Doctor now turned protective, keeping you and The Fam behind her outstretched arms. She explained the monsters' race, and how they were usually peaceful, despite their deadly appearance, but you barely followed her ramble, too overcome with the shock of your ruined outing. The Doctor continued to vocalise her confusion about this monster’s out-of-character behaviour. This caused the monster to lunge forward, swiping at The Doctor. She dodged his swipe and continued to protect you and your friends. The Monster screamed a jagged cry before speaking of how The Doctor, in an act of self-heroism against the Daleks, caused the death of his family by giving a self-aggrandizing speech pleading for peace instead of actually acting to solve the disaster that was occurring before her. After explaining his story, the monster lunged again. The Doctor yelled for you and The Fam to return to The TARDIS, and after some brief yet urgent arguing, all of you eventually agreed.

It should have been simple, finding The TARDIS, but with the fearful crowd running around each and every way, the task was suddenly harder than before. When you and The Fam started out your return trip, you had your hands clasped tightly around Yaz’s and Ryan’s hands respectfully. They dragged you through the crowds and you were quite thankful for their presence. The crowds seemed to double in both number and fear, it reminded you of when The Doctor took you to see the running of the bulls in Spain.

One side of the crowd surged, curving into an alleyway, and dragging Yaz away from you and Ryan. Your hands were roughly ripped apart. Graham, who was also dragged with that moving crowd, cried out for Ryan to keep you safe and to stay together while he went to search for Yaz. Neither you nor Ryan remembered where The TARDIS was located. The crowds and screaming and running made it even more impossible for the two of you to recognize any possible indicators that both of you were headed in the right direction. Another wave of scared people surged, dragging you away from Ryan, brutally ripping your hands apart. You both screamed to each other and screamed at the crowds to stop, but it didn't help. You continued to be pulled away from your friends and into the moving currents of the ever-shifting crowds.

Eventually, they died out, leaving you alone in a dark alleyway, too dark for the daytime. You crept around anxiously, you had no idea if The Doctor had stopped the monster, it could have been anywhere, and you had no idea where any of your friends had been pulled to. You still tried to look for the TARDIS, even though you didn’t believe that The Doctor would park her anywhere near a dark and dingy ally like this one.

The sound of a glass bottle skirting over cobbled streets distracted you from your search, causing you to turn around and look to where the noise came from. You thought it could be the monster. As soon as you did this, you regretted it. You felt a syringe plunge into your neck. The effects of which were practically instantaneous, making you so weak that your knees gave out and your vision became fuzzy. Someone caught you, even in your daze, you could tell that they were strong, as they picked you up bridal style and carried you with perfect ease. Your head hung limply over your capture’s arm and before your eyes finally closed due to heaviness, you saw the shadow of the individual carrying you. They were shorter compared to the momentous monster that attacked you and your friends and they were wearing a long coat and cuffed pants. If your hunch was correct, you knew exactly who was kidnapping you, giving you some semblance of relief that it wasn't some random person doing this.

It took you a while to actually come to, but in your anaesthetised sleep you had wonderful dreams. You didn’t know if that was just a side effect of the anaesthetic, but they were welcoming and calm, given the circumstances. Upon first waking up, you first felt how rigid your body was, it was clear that he tied you up, he tended to do that, so you weren't surprised, but that didn’t subtract from the fact that the combination of the sedative and rope ties made you incredibly sore. You groaned when you moved your neck from its hanging position, despite not wanting to encourage your kidnapper’s behaviour, you had to express your discomfort at the moment. When you opened your eyes, you saw him crouched at eye level before you, with gleaming amber eyes and a wide smile. He seemed genuinely happy, as he always did when he kidnapped you.

The Master kept doing this. You’ve asked on many occasions why he felt the need to kidnap you. If he kidnapped you as a part of his latest plan to “destroy The Doctor”, you could understand his motivations, but he kidnapped you, seemingly, for fun. The two of you shared banter and jokes, more than you did with The Doctor if you were being honest. When The Master first kidnapped you, you were understandably angry and uncomfortable and scared. You were not present when The Fam met O or when they went to Gallifrey and fought the Lone Cyberman, but from what your friends and The Doctor described, The Master was someone to be feared. Which only caused confusion to plague your brain when he offered you tea and biscuits and even a spare room if you promised not to get into trouble in his TARDIS, as The Master’s torment, then, for his best enemy lasted longer than he imagined. That was many kidnappings ago, and you had taken him up on the offers of tea, biscuits, and a spare bedroom on many occasions. But with each new kidnapping, you were never able to get to the bottom of why The Master acted this way to you. You had your assumptions, sure, but you wanted to hear his reason.

“So why are you kidnapping me this time?” Disgruntled and tired from the sedative and the rope that wasn’t too tight around you, but still incredibly uncomfortable.

“Why else would I kidnap one of The Doctor’s little pets? To torment her senselessly! It’s quite fun!” He leaned forward excitedly, almost bumping your nose with his. The Master always spoke very close to people’s faces, you thought that he thought that this act would make him more intimidating. It might have worked at first, but you were too used to it by now.

“I’m not her pet!” You growled at him, invading his space, as much as you could, given the ropes restraining you to the chair. You were more upset that he used a rougher rope this time compared to your anger over his comment. You were comfortable enough with yourself to not be hurt by The Master’s teasing.

“Oh, really now?” The Master moved back and eventually stood before you, making you look up to him. Sometimes you hated his childish dependence on power dynamics, you were frankly too tired, with the remains of the sedative still in your system, to care about said dynamics. You wanted a comfortable bed and rest, not rough ropes digging into your wrists and sides and ankles and The Master’s fragile ego.

“Yes.”

“Prove it.”

“I’m sorry, I can’t. You see, I have these ropes restraining my movements, so I won’t be able to punch you in the face. As you know, The Doctor abhors violence. I don’t think that the others would want to disobey her, but I don’t really have that much of a problem with rebelling against The Doctor’s quote-unquote wisdom” The Master burst into a fit of chauvinistic laughter.

“So, you’ll kill. Was not expecting that! Maybe The Doctor only keeps you around to change you, like how she constantly tries to disrupt my life and change me.”

“I never said I would kill. I’m not like you, so don’t compare me to you. And I’m not like The Doctor, or The Fam, or any of her other companions either, so don’t compare me to them. I’m me and I just won’t hesitate to protect myself when threatened.” The Master pretended to have not liked what he heard you say, but, quite the contrary, what you had just said was an example of one of the many reasons why he liked you. You weren’t like him. You weren’t like The Doctor. You weren’t like the other Humans that hopelessly followed The Doctor like lost puppies. You were something new. Someone new that completely enticed The Master to his core.

You had a fire of independence and a passion for justice that exceeded The Doctor’s. Where she had to try to be kind or nice, reminding herself with catchphrases and mantras, you never did. The Doctor often failed to register the fine line between justice and cruelty, you never did. Maybe that is why she, truly, kept you around, and why The Master really wanted you beside him. Keeping him from going to extremes like when he destroyed Gallifrey. The Master liked trouble, but he was growing a bit tired of constantly running away from all of the problems he caused with no sense of peace. Perhaps you could have been his peace, but he knew that the damage was done, and he had inflicted too much pain to be deserving of any peace. If he kept kidnapping you, he could still keep you safe and in his life, even if it wasn’t to the extent that he desired.

The Master turned, leaving your comment hanging in the air, and went to inspect something on his TARDIS monitor and leaving you to grapple with your thoughts. You weren’t exactly positive that you could hurt anyone, and you were afraid that he knew that. You wanted to protect people, protect peace and innocence. But you tried to think back to when you were left to fend for yourself in a dangerous situation, and you couldn’t locate a single memory. The Master had always been there, kidnapping you away from danger. You were thankful for that; you were quite privileged compared to The Doctor’s other companions who had to deal with fear and adrenaline and wounds and attacks and loss. You were always safe in The Master’s TARDIS with a substantial array of foods and blankets and warm drinks. But sometimes this made recurring system made you feel weak and inexperienced compared to your friends.

When you really thought about it, you understood how much The Master did for you. He clearly cared about you even though he would profusely deny it, and you couldn’t deny the fact that he was hypnotically attractive. If he was villainous, he wasn’t villainous to you. You saw how he possessed an aura of sadness like The Doctor, they were both so lonely, but The Doctor had companions. You wondered who The Master had, then you realised that he only had his TARDIS and you, if you counted the kidnappings, which you assumed that he did. When The Master thought you weren’t looking, you saw the sadness that pooled in his eyes and the soft touches he would give when controlling the console, almost apologetic for his outbursts. You saw how he was willing to be more vulnerable to you, at least by his standards of vulnerability.

After a long silence, briefly interrupted by TARDIS beeps and wheezing and The Master’s grumbles and mumbles about whatever was on his console monitor, you spoke up again.

“Really, what goes on in that dumb head of yours?”

“I am not dumb.” The Master grumbled, trying to fix something on his console monitor, whatever was on it was really troubling him. You would have asked him, but you preferred to taunt him.

“Yes, you are!” You spoke in a sing-songy voice, knowing that it would aggravate him even more. It worked, he finally turned back toward you.

“How, pray tell, and I dumb?” He crossed his arms in front of himself, leaning against the console. You preferred having his attention on you, and The Master preferred you trying to get his attention compared to the alarms on the console monitor distracting him from the kidnapping.

“Because, if you wanted to go out on a date with me, this badly, you could have just asked.”

The Master’s mouth fell open slightly. He knew that you were smart and observant, but he thought that he was being discreet. He quickly regained composure, though, smirking cheekily and trying to ignore his growing vulnerability. He needed to take back the power in the situation. But you just stared right back, not giving in to the power of his eyes. You swore that he was trying to hypnotise you into submission, to make you forget your allegation, but you fought back against him every time The Master’s telepathic force poked your mind.

He continued to stare at you, slightly uncomfortable that you kept standing up against him instead of quivering and flustering before him, but he knew that if you did that, The Master wouldn’t like you as much as he did. His eyes bored into yours, trying to intimidate you, intensifying his gaze and his hypnotism, but you refused to back down and submit. You saw The Master’s eyes grow slightly warmer before he quickly turned back toward The TARDIS, his shoulders tensed. He gripped his console and eyed the monitor. He spoke again, after a strained silence, still agitated.

“I’m growing tired of you. You will find that ridiculous blue box you travel in just around the street corner.” The Master flicked a few switches, causing the ropes that held you tightly against the chair to drop, and at the snap of his fingers, The TARDIS doors opened instantaneously.

“Now run along to The Doctor before I decide to keep you locked in here forever.” You slowly got up and walked to the doors, still stiff from the binding. Before you exited The Master’s ship, you turned to get one last glimpse of the strange Time Lord.

“You know, if you were to, hypothetically, ask me out on a date… I wouldn’t say no.” You leaned against The TARDIS, and she gave a reassuring hum above you. You weren’t quite sure, though, if it was because of your comment or the sudden physical act.

“Why?” The Master was questioning and hopeful, with an aura of playfulness in his tone. You shrugged in a way to indicate subtleness, but only to disguise your intense feelings for the man before you.

“I don’t know. You don’t seem as bad as the others say you are. At least, not to me.”

“As you pointed out, I kidnap you constantly.” The Master couldn’t help but smile at your innocence and naivety. He could not understand how you could still see him as someone decent, despite all of his evil acts.

“Yeah, but it’s always a part of a scheme to kill The Doctor and her Fam, while I am safe and tucked away in your ship far away from any danger, or it’s right before The Doctor is about to get us into a dangerous situation when I’m stolen away by you. I would put money on the fact that right after you took me, the monster attacked The Fam, and you kept looking at the monitor to check and see whether or not the threat was gone.” The Master didn’t say anything, only smiled bittersweetly at you, after you smiled and waved him goodbye. The Master snapped his fingers again, closing the doors when you fully exited his TARDIS, and mumbled a soft “Until we meet again, Y/n,” under his breath.

The Master watched you leave on the console room monitor, when you returned to The Doctor, he flew off to drift amongst the stars in order to plan for his next kidnapping of you. But when coordinates randomly appeared on the data screen of the console, he grew distracted from his task. He thought that maybe he deserved a break from torturing himself by dangling something he could never have before him, maybe he deserved a little trouble at the moment. The Master, strangely, did not know the place the coordinates sent him to, but the message was sent from an old partner in a small overthrow of a corrupt dictator he participated in. The partner had thanked The Master profusely, but he was only in it for the money and to see the dictator, who angered The Master at a banquet, finally and horrifically murdered.

The Master freshened up a bit and followed the coordinates to the meeting place. He strolled out of his TARDIS, confident and excited about a new evil scheme. However, The Master’s face fell in disappointment when he saw The Doctor leaning against her ridiculous blue box. The Master grumbled and rolled his eyes, quickly turning back to his ship. He was not in the mood for another lecture from The Doctor, he had experienced too many of them in his life.

“Why do you keep kidnapping Y/n?” The Doctor’s question caused The Master to halt. Even though he wanted to just fly away and leave The Doctor questioning his actions, he couldn’t resist talking about you, but he couldn't allow his best enemy to know the truth. He marched up to The Doctor, trying to be threatening.

“Because seeing the look of fear in your eyes, Doctor brings joy to my very dark life.” The Master turned to leave, again, even more annoyed with The Doctor’s interference.

“Are you sure that it's my pain bringing you joy? Because from where I’m standing, it looks like Y/n is the one sparking joy in your dark life.” The Master froze in shock. He thought that there was no way for The Doctor to know his true feelings for you. He assumed that The Doctor was too dim to catch on to his, admittedly, uncharacteristic behaviour. He knew that you would never tell her of the feeling you, correctly, presumed he had for you. He knew that you found the banter quite fun and that you enjoyed his company, as he did for you. If you didn’t, you would be kicking and screaming in duress during every encounter, but the two of you were always polite and cordial. How did The Doctor find out about how he felt for you?

“I have no idea what you are referring to, Doctor. I think your mind is growing emotional due to extended time around Humans. Have your pets been making you watch rom-coms?”

“Oh, just admit it, Master. You like Y/n. I know for a fact that they like you, too.” The Master stayed facing his TARDIS, he did not want The Doctor to see his pleased face, but his happiness faded when he realised that the two of you could never be together. For so many reasons it was impossible. He thought that it was simpler to break your heart now than to wait for one of his enemies to kill you or for you to die of old age while he remains young. The Master’s anger was boiling up inside of him. All he wanted was you, but everything would be so difficult if you and The Master actually became a couple.

“Don’t you understand?! Oh! What am I saying?! Of course, you don’t understand!” His rage fully took over him as he turned back to The Doctor.

“Understand what?” The Master just wished his best enemy would drop the subject.

“Y/n can never live with me on my TARDIS, they can never be my companion, and they can never love me! It’s a big enough risk for me to love them! All of the damage I caused, all of the people I’ve killed whose families want to take revenge on me, all of the people who want to see me dead, they will go after Y/n, they will hurt and kill them, just to get to me. I can never allow that! You take so many risks with your pets, Doctor, but I refuse to put Y/n in that much danger. So, I will remain their strange protector, keeping them away from the danger you threaten to put them through.” The Master gave up trying to explain his position to The Doctor, massaging his brow with his hand.

Throughout this discourse the two Gallifreyans had, they had moved and circled each other. The Doctor had allowed you to listen in on the entire conversation via her TARDIS’s listening devices and instructed you to exit her ship when she indicated. After The Master had made his declaration of the love you wanted to exit then and run to him, but stopped at the doors, watching the scene briefly. You thought that The Master was going to attempt to explain himself further, but stopped himself multiple times, he suddenly surged back towards his TARDIS. This time he was fully intent on leaving and never coming back. You rushed out of the doors, The Doctor’s TARDIS making no attempt to stop you, as you ran to The Master and desperately wrapped your arms around his torso, you could feel him tense in your arms, but he knew it was you holding him. It broke his hearts at the thought that he would have to turn you down to your face instead of just running away forever. You couldn’t see The Master’s face, but you assumed that he was regretting following the coordinates. He eventually relaxed, but softly placed his hands on your arms and pushed them away from his body.

“I can’t. I can’t do this to you.” The Master refused to face you, still walking determinedly to his TARDIS.

“I would be allowing you to sign your own death certificate. I can’t let you kill yourself for me. I am an incredibly selfish person, but I refuse to let the only light of my life perish because of my wants.”

You grabbed The Master’s hand forcefully, stopping him from moving. You tried to turn him around to face you, but he stood as still as a statue. You elected to move to his side, resting your chin on his shoulder. You still clasped your hands tightly around his one. You wanted to make this conversation as private as you possibly could. You knew that The Doctor was still overseeing this encounter and you could see The Master’s agitation and uncomfortableness at being so vulnerable.

“I want this. I want you, Master.” He finally looked at you, his eyes big and round and sad, tears were dangerously threatening to spill out and cascade down his face.

“I can’t. I can’t. I would be killing you. I would corrupt you. My selfishness will bring your end before it was ever supposed to happen, all because I want someone to love me.”

The Master continued to mutter self-deprecating comments about how what the two of you could have together was impossible to actualize. You hated seeing him like this. You understood that he had thousands of years of past trauma plaguing him and he should have the opportunity to be open, but in this situation, when you knew that you could ease his pain and he refused to listen to you, all you wanted was to slap his self-depreciation out of him.

You abruptly tore your hands from his and cupped his face, planting a soft kiss on his lips. You moved to pull away, as you had an important statement to make to The Master, but he quickly placed a firm hand on the back of your neck, deepening the kiss. You ventured to think how awkward The Doctor must be feeling at this sight. The Master must have been able to see into your mind because as soon as you thought of The Doctor, he increased his attack on your lips. The two of you parted when you needed to catch your breath. You rested your forehead against his as he caressed your face with care and reverence, occasionally running his hands through your hair affectionately.

“Master, I know that you believe that you are doing your best to protect me right now, but from my perspective, I know that you would never have gotten involved with me if you had any doubt about whether or not we would make it out together. I know that you do what you do in order to protect me, as you did today. I know that you will care for me. And I know that you will find a way to combat my human biology and lifespan, so we can spend more time together. I believe in you. I believe that you love me. Now you just need to believe me and believe in my love for you.”

You tried to look him in the eye, but he skirted your gaze, electing to close his eyes in an act to engrave your words into his memory. He pulled you into a bone-crushing hug suddenly, one arm pulling your torso tight against his, the other wrapped around the back of your neck. Your nose rested between the collar of his purple coat and his neck, and you breathed in his scent of warm smoke and cold mint, a juxtaposition that was very him. You didn’t know if this was the last moment you would ever see him this intimately or ever again and you wanted to remember every nuance in his character that you were allowed the privilege of knowing.

The Master thought long and hard about his possible relationship with you, ever since he noticed his growing feelings for you. He wondered if pursuing you was worth it, given that you were Human and he was a Time Lord, but you were keen and knowledgeable of The Master’s ways. As soon as he saw you, he began drawing up possible plans for extending your life. He had been so wrapped up in his mind about all of the futures the two of you could live, and now he had the opportunity to live out some of those futures. He believed you. He believed your love. Despite how shocked he was about his feelings for you and yours for him, from this moment forward he refused to live without your love and support. He eventually pulled back, still holding you tightly. You couldn’t read his face and grew even more fearful that you would never see him again.

“Please don’t leave me, Master.” You tried to hold him tighter, in an act to plead for your future with The Master, but he pulled your hands away from his body to hold them in his hands.

“As long as you don’t leave me, Y/n.” The Master’s face broke into a genuinely happy smile when he saw the relief that spread across your face. You hugged him again, and he picked you up and spun you around a couple of times. The both of you giggled excitedly.

“I guess it's a good thing I made you pack before this then.” The Doctor spoke up when you and The Master separated. Both of you had entirely forgotten that The Doctor was there watching your confessions of love.

The Doctor was fully supportive of your budding relationship with The Master. She helped the two of you move your suitcases and boxes of souvenirs into The Master’s TARDIS and gave you an emotional goodbye, along with a goodbye to The Fam, and a promise to call and text frequently. Once settled and happy in your new home, all you could do was smile until your face hurt and hug The Master. Both he and you were too excited about the future and your love for the Time Lord to fully comprehend the risks of your new relationship. But at this moment of bliss, the risks were worth it.

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master loved you. He was obsessed with you. You were his and he was yours. He just didn’t know why he had these feelings for you. You were a Human! The Master would outlive you 100 times over and still have a long life ahead of himself. But he loved you, so suffering in your absence seemed like a minor inconvenience as long as The Master was granted the joy of spending one lifetime with you.

There was only one problem with the situation The Master found himself in: you hated The Master. The Master had killed a close friend of yours while he was disguising himself as O. The Master did try to make you understand his mindset, he would never have killed a friend of yours if he had known that they were your friend, but he didn’t know that at the time of their death. So, your friend was fair game.

Your hatred for The Master seemed to increase with all the time you were spending with The Doctor. She was poisoning your mind! The Master had to help you, get you away from The Doctor’s toxic lies. Maybe The Master could finally make you see that he was who you should trust? He was the one you should be travelling with. He loved you more than anything. He deserved to travel with you compared to The Doctor who just saw you as a new pet. The Master had to make you see the truth.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Master had kidnapped you five days ago, and you hated every second of your time with him. He was always around you, asking you constant questions about how you were feeling in your new home. He would loom over you, lean in too close to your face and always stare at your lips. You were disgusted by his audacity. All of this combined with The Master demeaning The Doctor at every chance, you were becoming infuriated. You were waiting, desperately, for the moment when The Doctor would burst through The Master’s TARDIS doors, or her TARDIS to materialise in The Master’s console room. Either way, The Doctor would have saved you and you would no longer be trapped within the walls of The Master’s TARDIS.

Tonight was difficult for you. You couldn’t stop thinking of what your future would be. Would The Doctor actually save you? Would you be stuck with The Master forever? What would he do if you didn’t give in to his affections? You couldn’t sleep, like many nights before while you were here in The Master’s TARDIS, and you were becoming restless. So, you walked to the kitchen in order to get something to eat and distract your mind from your kidnapping.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“What are you doing up?” The Master burst through the kitchen, startling you. You had no idea how long you had been in the kitchen, arguing with The Master in your head, but by his upset tone, it must have been a while.

The Master stalked toward you. He was trying to be mysterious and alluring, hoping that you would find it attractive, but he just ended up appearing menacing.

“I couldn’t sleep.” You said while mumbling into your hot drink to avoid his intense eyes.

“Why? You have everything you could ever want.”

“Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you kidnapped me.”

The Master huffed and turned to face away from you. He pinched the bridge of his nose while trying to come up with something that might impress you. No ideas come to his mind. He wanted you to love him so badly that he was getting emotional and not able to think properly. Maybe if he distracted you for a bit, he could come up with something brilliant.

“Let’s play a game, then.” The Master turned back around to you with open, exasperated arms.

“A game? You don’t seem like the type to play games.”

“Maybe if you took the opportunity to get to know me, you would find out what type of person I am.” The Master leaned on the table and loomed over you. He was smirking hopefully, but you were too tired to deal with his assumptions right now.

“I don’t want to get to know you.”

“Is that you talking or The Doctor?” Somehow, The Master leaned in even closer to you. To appear nonchalant, The Master stirred your drink with the spoon you lazily kept in it, before returning to stare at your eyes and lips.

“Me. It’s me talking. Believe it or not, I have a brain that isn’t controlled by The Doctor.”

The Master sneered. He believed you, of course, you didn’t sound like The Doctor like all of her other companions did. However, The Master latched onto the word control. He couldn’t help but imagine you being dependent upon him. Not necessarily 24/7 once you got used to being with The Master, but more so in the bedroom. The Master wanted to control you, completely destroy you with pleasure, and make you want no one else but him. But he would have to work to get you to like him first.

“Maybe you should tell The Doctor that then. She has been speaking for you.”

“You’ve talked to her.” You had been trying to avoid The Master’s gaze during this interaction, you weren’t exactly comfortable with the way he looked at you, so you tended to avoid looking at him entirely. However, when The Master mentioned The Doctor’s communications, you jolted your gaze up to look at The Master in excitement. The Master immediately realized his mistake. He just gave you hope of being saved. That was never going to happen; The Master knew that he better kill your hope in The Doctor now before you get too hurt.

“Before this. She hasn’t contacted me since I collected you, love.”

“Collected? You mean kidnapped. And I don’t believe you.”

“You should. It’s the truth.” A half-truth. The Master ignored every message he received. So even though The Doctor definitely tried to get in contact, The Master never saw said messages.

“Anyway, our game!” The Master needed to distract you and let you get some sleep before he made you love him.

“What game did you have in mind?”

“A staring contest.”

“Why?”

“You said that you weren’t tired. Prove it.” The Master cocked his head to the side and inspected your face: dark circles, burst blood vessels in your eyes, dry skin and messy hair. How did he let you get this bad? He needed to take better care of you.

“Fine! I’ll play your little game.” You finally agreed, too tired to argue. The Master ignored the bitterness in your comment and sat across from you.

When the two of you started the game, you realised that you had never looked The Master in the eye before. You thought you had, even though you knew that you hated looking him in the eye, but it was obvious to you now that you had never seen the beauty that was The Master’s eyes. His eyes were truly beautiful; a warm amber with dark coffee rings surrounding the outside of his iris. They almost remind you of a supernova; they were just so awe-inspiring. You couldn’t stop looking at The Master’s eyes and you felt yourself being drawn closer to him somehow.

“When did you get so close?” You blinked a couple of times trying to figure out when the two of you repositioned yourself in this way.

“I’ve always been this close, don’t you remember?” You shook your head and continued to blink many times in an attempt to blink away the sleepy feeling taking over you.

“Keep looking at me, love. You want to finish our game, don’t you?” The Master grabbed your chin to make you face him again. After he repositioned your face, he kept his hand on your cheek and rubbed his thumb soothingly in circles around your temple.

“Yes, Master.”

“Good Human.” You stared into The Master’s mesmerizing eyes until your eyes fully closed, feeling incredibly heavy. You felt yourself wobble for a moment before letting sleep finally take over. You fell onto The Master’s shoulder and The Master quickly scooped you up into his strong arms.

Maybe The Master hadn’t been the best master he could be to you. So, The Master dropped you off in his room to sleep off his hypnotism and began to enact his plan to woo you properly.

Get Some Rest, Love

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary -The Reader and The Master have been travelling together behind The Doctor’s back. The pressure is getting to The Reader, so The Master hypnotises them in order to help them get some sleep.

Get Some Rest, Love

Warnings - reader being tired, stressed, basically an insomniac, The Master hypnotises the reader without full consent (he doesn’t explain what he’s doing, but the reader does ask for his help)

------------------------------------------------------------

It had been a rough couple of weeks for you. The past couple of months had all been stressful, but the stress had amplified in the past few weeks.

The Master had made his presence visible a while ago, which you had frankly expected. The Master always seemed to have a knack for escaping every deadly situation with ease. What you didn’t expect, however, was to grow close to the Renegade Time Lord over various encounters and interactions. He didn’t expect this either but welcomed the change and the opportunity to eventually gloat to his best enemy about your connection. Then The Master, after many long and secret discussions, convinced you to travel with him as well as The Doctor. You know why you agreed to this situation, because of your crush on The Master, but you had not expected to be this drained because of it.

It wasn’t even the usual stress of adventures that would tire you out, though. You feared being found out by The Doctor or your fellow companions. You feared dying because there was double the chance of that now. You feared never seeing your family and friends again. You feared losing touch with your life on Earth because you barely spent any time there anymore. You feared the growing feelings you had for The Master and what that would mean for your life. These thoughts would circle your brain all the time, you could only think about something else when The Master distracted you. But now, late at night, alone, was when the thoughts would plague you with no relief.

The Master was gods-know-where in The TARDIS trying to fix a small hiccup with the engine in order to get you back to Earth in time to rest before the next time The Doctor showed up for you. Of course, because you had access to a time machine, you didn’t necessarily have to stick to a strict schedule, but you and The Master decided to construct one in order to make this situation easier for you. The Doctor could be haphazard in planning, but by having a schedule with The Master, the chance of the two rebel Gallifreyans showing up at the same time was greatly lessened.

You crept out of your room, wrapped in your favourite blanket, and asked The TARDIS to direct you to The Master. You walked through the halls of the machine, seeing her manipulate her walls for you in order to help you with your mission. The TARDIS led you to the lower engine room, just below the console room. It was filled with long wires and cords, of various thicknesses, cascading down from the ceiling, creating intricate, spider web-like, tangles between bits of machinery. The Master sat hunched in the corner of the room in an old-looking and oil-covered apron and goggles fiddling with a machine connected to easily a hundred wires.

“Master?”

You peeked your head around the corner of the room while knocking quietly on the doorframe. The Master wasn’t fond of being startled, but you didn’t want to bother him in the first place. You just wanted some help. The Master’s head jolted up to look at whatever was making the knocking, annoyance written on his face. He instantly calmed down when he saw that it was you making the noise, but once he got a proper look at you and noticed how tired you looked The Master grew worried.

“Y/n? What are you doing up? Is everything alright?” You shook your head absentmindedly; you couldn’t really tell where your head was currently.

“I’m sorry for bothering you. I know that you are working hard, but I just couldn’t sleep.”

The Master carefully stood up while easing the goggles over his head. He manoeuvred through the web of vine-like wires and cords in order to join you under the doorframe.

“Was your mind keeping you up again?” You nodded dozily before yawning into your blanket.

“Come on love, let’s get you to bed.”

The Master tutted your shoulder and you felt him push you in the direction of your room, but you stopped him and placed a blanket-covered hand over his arm.

“Do we have to go to my room?”

“You would be more comfortable there, no?”

“Probably, but once I go to sleep, you’ll leave, and I’ll be alone again. And dreaming me will probably be able to tell and I’ll wake up again.”

You trailed off when you noticed The Master staring at you with a mix of sadness and worry and care written on his face.

“And if I sleep on the sofa then you can continue to work on the engine.”

“The sofa it is then.”

Instead of heading directly to the sofa in the engine room, you trailed behind The Master as he headed to a little storage closet to collect some fluffy pillows and blankets. Then the two of you threw the soft supplies onto the sofa. Then the two of you walked to the kitchen to make some chamomile tea and get some warm milk. The Master collected some chocolate biscuits for himself before the two of you sleepily crept back to the engine room with all of your goodies.

The Master tucked you into the bed-like sofa before lighting some candles around the space. The Master then took a well-loved book out of one of his bigger on the inside pockets and began reading once you were ready. But none of this seemed to succeed in making you tired. You jolted up in frustration.

“This isn’t working, Master!”

“You just need to be a bit patient. You’ll fall asleep in no time.”

“You’re one to talk about being patient, Mr Short Fuse. And we have already tried this method many times, along with the warm milk, meditation, and you making me run circles around The TARDIS console. Clearly, nothing is working!”

The Master pinched the bridge of his nose in thought and frustration. He wasn’t mad at you; he was upset with himself. He selfishly wanted to have you be his full companion and he had been extending your time together slowly. But doing that decreased your rest time. He was causing you to suffer, which was the last thing he wanted to do. He wanted to make you happy and calm. The Master did think of one way to calm you down and help you sleep, but you might hate him if you ever found out about it. Your health was The Master’s number one priority, so hypnotising you seemed to be the only solution.

“Why don’t we play a little game, then?” The Master questioned eventually.

“What kind of game?”

“A staring contest.”

“That sounds very Human of you.” You poked The Master’s side jovially, yet tiredly.

“Don’t patronise me. I’m trying to help.”

“I know. I know. I’m just exhausted. I'm sorry.”

“Don’t apologise, my love. I understand. Now get comfy.” You sat up but huddled yourself into a couple of blankets and waited for The Master.

“Now just look into my eyes and try not to blink. Are you ready?”

“Ready, Master.”

“Okay. Go.”

You stared at The Master’s deep brown eyes. They reminded you of dark amber with flecks of golden honey and rich coffee-like colours highlighting various parts of his irises. They were truly beautiful, just like the rest of him. You could stare into his eyes forever if you were given the opportunity to do so. You thought that you saw The Master bittersweetly smirk, but you weren’t sure. Your eyes were feeling heavy all of a sudden. And so was your body. You felt yourself slouch and your eyes began to fall. Suddenly, darkness took over your world, but you jolted back into awakeness.

“I think I blinked.”

“That’s okay. We’ll just play another round. Keep looking into my eyes.”

You did as your Master told you to do and you continued to stare into The Master’s captivating eyes. The same heaviness washed over you, as it did before.

Thanks to The Master’s hypnosis, your eyes finally closed, and your body went limp, and you were finally asleep. The last thing that floated inform of your foggy brain was the love pouring out of The Master’s warm chocolate eyes.

The Master quickly lunged forward and caught you from falling back and hitting your head on the arm of the sofa. He then pulled you into his arms and rested your head on his shoulder.

“There you go, love. Get a good night's sleep for your Master.”

The Master hoisted you up into his arms and carried you throughout his TARDIS. He sarcastically rolled his eyes at his machine when he noticed that his ship was extending the hallways leading to your bedrooms. The Master paused in contemplation when he eventually reached your bedrooms. He assumed that you were unaware of the fact that he had placed your bedroom across from his, but now he had to make a choice. Should The Master tuck you into your bed or his?

The TARDIS opened his bedroom door for him, and The Master made a mental note to have a little chat with his ship when you were away. But The Master did in fact carry you into his room. He placed you in his messy bed. He couldn’t help but cringe as he reminisced about how he was much neater and proper in some of his other regenerations and how they would most definitely yell at him for having such a chaotic maintenance schedule. Missy would have had a double heart attack if she discovered that her future regeneration had placed a potential partner in a messy bed.

‘How are you supposed to impress them with all this mess, you silly sausage.’ She would have screamed.

The Master did as he intended, though. He tucked you in as best as he could into his messy bed. It looked like you were covered in a nest comprised of a mound of blankets rather than a neat bed. But The Master had to make do with you already hypnotised and asleep like the dead.

The Master then gathered up some devices and notes and climbed into his side of the bed. He tinkered away at some plans while watching over you while you took your well-deserved night’s rest. Eventually, though, The Master also grew tired. It had been a couple of days since he got a proper night’s sleep. The Master stacked his notes and devices onto his bedside table. He then curled himself around you under the mound of blankets and quickly fell asleep with your intertwining scents filling The Master’s nose. Hopefully, you wouldn’t question why you were in The Master’s bed or why he was cuddling you once you woke up in the morning.

But anyway, thank you so much for this request! I made two versions. One is a softer fic, and the other is darker and more possessive.

I hope that you enjoy them!

Beg For It

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Master corners the reader and confronts them about their feelings. The Master isn’t prepared for The Reader’s response, though.

Based On This Request -

image

Prompts Used - #3. A breathy demand: “Kiss me” - and what the other person does to respond.

Warnings - Canon typical violence, The Master being The Master (i.e., A desperate slut), some suggestive bits, so 18+, please!

Word Count - 1403

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. This was requested on my old Tumblr by a lovely anon. I hope that you enjoy!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Master had a habit of staring at you. Whenever he was monologing or generally scheming he would stare at you from wherever he was standing, looking to see all of your facial expressions and reactions. He knew that he should probably be seeing if The Doctor of her companions seemed threatened, but you were so much fun compared to them!

This habit of his escalated to where The Master would separate you from the rest of the group just to hear your opinions on how his current scheme was unfolding. The Master, ever the escalator, then proceeded to kidnap you completely out of the blue. He would always detail his plans to you, even before the kidnapping. But after he started kidnapping you, he would conduct full lectures, hoping for your feedback. The kidnappings, of course, became less focused on plans for world domination and more focused on polite conversion.

This wasn’t a usual kidnapping, however. The Master had stowed you away to a different part of the castle you, The Doctor and her other companions were exploring. He was rough and held you tightly and barely uttered a word in response to your screams of release. Once the two of you were where The Master’s TARDIS was, the alien left you to pace around the room a bit. You were confused. The Master never acted like this before during one of your kidnappings. You had to stay to get to the bottom of what was wrong with him.

The Master finally addressed you after a word with himself. And instead of him complimenting you every five seconds, The Master seemed much more uneasy about what he was doing today. Like there was something he was hiding from you that he was scared that you would find out too quickly if he didn’t mask his emotions. His shoulders were visibly tense and he kept his hands clenched whenever he wasn’t talking with them. He still complimented you, but they were laced with anger and jealousy. You assumed that it was just because of The Doctor, who had grown closer to you since she noticed how much The Master favoured you, but The Master had a quick temper so really he could be upset about anything.

You and The Master talked and teased each other while pacing around the room The Master had brought you to. His mood seemed to lighten when your full attention was solely on him, but he would grow upset again when you mentioned The Doctor. Eventually, he broke and shouted at you.

“I am your Master and you will obey me! No one else!” The Master stomped toward you, leaning in closer than he should have and staring at your lips. This is what always happens when the two of you teased each other, so you continued to tease in order to get The Master to break again. Maybe this time he would actually admit his feelings for you which you always assumed that he had. Maybe that’s what he was hiding? Maybe his feelings made him uneasy? You laughed at The Master and his possessive comment and then strutted away from the Time Lord.

“No! I am loyal to The Doctor. You will never be my Master and I will never do what you want!” You said this with a taunting flare, hoping that The Master would know that you weren’t too serious, but he seemed to be in a non-joking mood today.

“Can we just cut the tension and get to the good stuff?”

“Excuse me?”

“You know. The back-and-forth teasing, the longing gazes, leaning in too close to one another, forgetting that The Doctor even exists as we explore the growing feelings between us. You know, all that good stuff that happens when we are alone together.” The Master bounded toward you dramatically and exuberantly. At least you got your answer, The Master did see the feelings growing between the two of you.

“Is that what really happens between us?” You coyly asked as you walked backwards willing. You knew that there was a wall behind you somewhere. The Master eagerly followed you.

“Yes, that is exactly what happens. And I know that you love it.”

“You can’t know that.” You continued to slowly stalk backwards.

“Oh really? I am a telepath after all. What makes you think that I wouldn’t roam through that pretty little mind of yours, love?”

“Because you like me and you want me to like you. You wouldn’t do something like that without my consent.” Finally, you hit the wall as soon as you said the word ‘consent,’ but The Master continued to move forward until he was practically flushed against you. He looked into your eyes for a long time, probably to search your soul for truth in your statement, but the old Time Lord couldn’t help himself from venturing a gaze at your beautiful lips.

“Kiss me.” The Master whispered, desperation dripping from his voice. You almost couldn’t believe that this was happening. Someone as powerful as The Master, who could take whatever he wanted with ease, was giving you the power in this situation. He had made a demand, yes, but he gave you full control over his emotions and hearts by giving you the option to choose what you were to do next. You would have to make your next move carefully.

“Only if you beg for it.” The Master rolled his eyes but moaned in enjoyment. He quickly covered up his moan with a deep laugh. He couldn’t have you know that he wants you that much. At least not this early in your relationship. He had already given so much away to you.

“You’re fun! I knew that there was a reason why I like you. Despite your idiotic devotion to The Doctor, you aren’t like her other little pets.”

“I thought that you said that you wanted to forget about her?”

“I think that there is only one way to do that, love.” The Master smirked again and this time you joined him in smirking before crashing your lips into his. The Master sighed in relief upon finally feeling your hot mouth against his. Getting needier, The Master held the back of your head firmly and pulled you completely against his chest by his strong arm around your back. You smiled when you felt his already hard cock straining against his plaid trousers. You were certain that this would have gone on much longer if it weren’t for The Doctor shouting for you from a nearby hall. The Master broke away from you angrily.

“Damn it!” The Master growled.

“Leave before she sees us like this. I’ll tell her that you just left me for her to find. You know, just to make her blood boil a bit.” You gently and regretfully tried to push The Master away from you, but he stayed strongly in his spot.

“You better! I want her properly upset given that she so rudely interrupted us.” Despite the urgency of the situation, The Master smiled softly at you like he had never smiled upon you before and then booped your nose with the knuckle of his finger. It was strange seeing him be so loving, but you needed more. The Master whisked himself away dramatically just as you were becoming intoxicated by his presence. He then headed toward his TARDIS, but there was something that you needed to know before he disappeared again.

“Are you going to kidnap me again?” The Master turned back to look at you. He almost seemed shocked by your vulnerability which was a direct contrast to how confident you were minutes before, but he again covered his emotions with a teasing smirk and a wink.

“Only if you beg for it, love.”

“Please kidnap me again, Master.” You wanted him to know that this was more than just a game to you.

“I’ll kidnap you in the most extravagantly beautiful way, my love.” To your shock, The Master bowed to you to highlight his statement.

“Now hurry before she finds us!” The Master blew you a kiss in a final farewell and disappeared into the warmth of his TARDIS. Moments later, the ship dematerialized, but you could feel The Master’s promise to you wafting through the air. This, most definitely, was not the last time you would be seeing The Master.

Fall For Me

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summery - The Master kidnaps The Reader in order to get to know you and so as to not go to an extravagant ball alone.

Based On This Request -

image

Warning - references to canon typical violence, kidnapping, hypnotism without consent, some suggestive bits so 18 plus please, me making up random galaxies

Word Count - 1842

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested by this lovely anon! Also, I’ll link The Doctor version of this ask here, in case you would like to read that one as well.

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master was a fan of fine dining and loud demonstrations of wealth, as he always had been. He was used to that lifestyle, thanks to his parent's prestige and station on Gallifrey. Since the Time War and his banishment from his home planet, The Master obviously had to seek power in more manipulative ways and his ending up possessing wealth wasn’t always guaranteed.

The Master had schemed for years trying to gain a proficient foothold in the royal court of the Purpur galaxy. Now he was the king of his own planet and what else was there for him to do? Naturally, The Master went back to messing with The Doctor and this time, she had a companion The Master actually enjoyed. The Master kidnapped you and brought you to his kingdom in order to impress you in the best way he knew how: power and wealth. If The Master got you to fall in love with him that would be the ultimate slap in the face of The Doctor, and he would no longer be alone.

------------------------------------------------------------

You awoke in an extravagantly detailed lavender bedroom with gold filigree on the wall and dressed in the comfiest and most expensive-looking clothes you had ever seen, let alone worn. The last thing you remembered was fire and loud explosives and the hypnotic brown eyes, filled with desire and warmth, of a beautiful stranger.

You fumbled, panicked, out of the large bed you had woken up in and fell onto the floor, just as the said stranger walked through the door of the room. He offered you a good morning which you ignored. You had no idea what was going on.

“What is this place?”

“My kingdom. Specifically, my palace. You are safe here.” You finally took a proper look at the beautiful stranger. He looked so calm and friendly, but something felt off.

“You’re The Master, aren’t you?”

“So, The Doctor did mention me, I was hoping that she hadn’t.” The stranger, the Master, seemed put off by this information. He walked into the bedroom and closed the door behind himself. You clung onto the closest bedpost, filled with fear and confusion. If The Master was planning on hurting you, there was nowhere for you to go.

“The Doctor said that you were destitute and desperately destroying everything in your path in a vain attempt to feel something.”

“Maybe you should get to know me first and develop your own opinion of me, instead of solely listening to The Doctor.” The Master walked closer to you until he was directly across from where you were huddled on the floor. He then crouched down to look you in the eye.

“What do you want then? If torturing isn’t the plan for today.”

“I would like you to accompany me to the gathering I am hosting two evenings from now. In between now and then, you may do whatever you like as long as you don’t go contacting The Doctor or her little pets.”

“That’s it?” You were sceptical.

“Yeah, pretty much. Also, breakfast is ready if you would like something to eat. You must be exhausted, love.”

“I am pretty hungry.” You were pretty sure The Master had hypnotised you. There was plenty of evidence to suggest that. Your stomach growled and your head was heavy, and your body was weak.

“I can escort you. Or I can have a guard do that.”

“A guard, please.” The Master nodded, a little sadly, but accepted your request. He needed you to like him. If he moved too quickly or too controlling, you would never trust him.

“They will be up in a moment, love.” The Master stood up, walked to the door and bowed to you before leaving the bedroom to inform a guard that you would be needing their assistance.

------------------------------------------------------------

The breakfast was divine. As was every meal you consumed during your time at The Master’s palace. You were sceptical, of course, everything The Doctor had told you about The Master was that he could manipulate anyone in the most unique ways, and he already hypnotised you once, who said that he wouldn’t do it again? However, The Master just seemed to want to take care of you. He made sure that you ate proper meals, had relaxing baths with expensive soaps, and gifted you the finest clothes. The Doctor never seemed to care about those things. She always forgot when you and her other Human companions needed to eat or sleep and even though minimalism can be a fine aesthetic, The Doctor almost seemed to look down on you collecting various things from your adventures. In your few days with The Master, you had already collected a stack of books, various gemmed jewellery, and random alien artefacts that The Master gave you after explaining the story behind how he got them.

Tonight was the night of the ball. After dinner with The Master, you took a long bath before getting dressed for the party. When you exited the steamy bathroom, you saw a beautiful outfit laid out on your bed ready for you to wear. You got dressed in the majority of the clothes yourself, despite a couple of laces on the back. But then you heard a knock on the door which broke you out on your thoughts about how the night would unfold.

“Come in.” You heard the door to your bedroom open and shut and footsteps walking toward you. You knew that it was The Master. You tried to ignore his eyes on your back as you tried to tie the laces on your outfit.

“You look absolutely beautiful, love.” The Master finally spoke. He brought his hands up and tightened and tied the laces for you.

“Thank you for the outfit.”

“Of course. I’ve got to dress up someone as stunning as you in an extravagant outfit that could match your beauty.” The Master continued to tuck and pull and adjust your outfit until he seemed happy with it.

“There. You look perfect.” The Master smiled at you, then jolted as he remembered something.

“One last thing!” The Master pulled out a long cloak from his bigger on the inside pocket and draped it across you to where it was tied across your chest and the cloak was draped over your left shoulder.

“There. Now the outfit is complete. Are you ready for tonight?”

“As ready as I’ll ever be.” The Master took what he could get from you. He knew that getting you to love him was going to be a challenge, a challenge he was excited about. But he knew that you would fall for him. He could sense it. It would just take some time.

The Master escorted you from your bedroom to the upper level of the castle that led down to the ballroom. He then led you down the marble staircase with his gloved hand and showed you off to his rich guests. After greeting and meeting with some of the guests, The Master pulled you further into the ballroom and manoeuvred you, so your left hand was placed on The Master’s shoulder and your right hand was softly placed in his left hand. The Master then placed his right hand firmly on the small of your back and pulled you close to his chest.

You didn’t know how to respond to this. You were attracted to The Master, absolutely, but he was The Doctor’s enemy. He tried to hurt her, what if he tried to hurt you?

The Master guided you through the dance that you didn’t know. You tried your best, but even The Master’s firm grip on your body couldn’t always help you perform the dance properly.

Adding to your distractions was The Master himself. He was dressed in a tight dark purple suit with black and obsidian accents. You could smell the dark and hypnotic cologne he wore. And his eyes. They were always on you. Either staring into your eyes, ghosting over your body, or devouring your lips in his mind. It was mesmerizing having someone’s attention on you so intently. But then, as you stared back into The Master’s desire-filled eyes, you stumbled over The Master’s feet and fell into his strong arms.

“Easy there, love. I can’t have you falling for me so hard that I can’t reap the rewards later.” You didn’t even catch The Master’s insinuation until much after the fact.

“I’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to dancing.” You stumbled again.

“Or the most skilful when it comes to balancing.”

“Luckily, I am here to guide you.” The Master winked at you and gripped your body tighter in order to have greater control of your movements.

The orchestra then began playing a softer, slower song. The Master leaned closer to your face. You could feel his hot breath on your cheek. It felt like he was wanting to kiss you. You knew that you weren’t ready for that, even though you were growing to like the alien. Instead, you leaned forward and rested your body against The Master’s. You felt his body tense, not in anger or rejection, but in shock. He assumed that you were going to deny his advances outright. The Master happily wrapped his arms around you and rested his head against yours. You could feel his strong arms continuing to guide you through the alien dance, preventing you from falling or stumbling again.

The rest of the night was similar to this and more fun than you had anticipated. You met tons of new people from dozens of planets that you had never heard of before, you had delicious alien foods and drinks, and The Master taught you so many new dances and caught you whenever you stumbled or wobbled, but eventually, the night had to end. After all of the guests either left for their own planets or went to their guest rooms for the night, The Master escorted you to your room.

“Thank you for accompanying me. This gathering would have been absolutely boring without you there.” You could feel The Master toying with the laces of your outfit playfully.

“It was a very fun night, Master. I’m not going to say thank you for kidnapping me, but I did have fun with you.” The Master smiled genuinely at you, but then his face became solemn and serious.

“Get some rest, love. I, unfortunately, have to take you back to The Doctor tomorrow and I assume she will exhaust with questions.” The Master took your face in his hands and kissed your forehead before turning away from you.

“Do you have to take me back?” You asked, surprising even yourself.

“I’ll kidnap you again soon.”

“Promise?”

“I promise.” The Master sent you a wink before entering the room across from yours. Was he staying in that room the entire time you had been here? Maybe you would have to pay The Master a visit in the middle of the night if you were unable to sleep.

If you have time can you please do something with Dhawan master or thirteenth doctor (up to you) dancing with (they/them) reader, reader stumbles a bit as they dance but is trying their best (headcannon or oneshot whatever is easier for you/what you want to do❤️)

How about both?! I made both.

The Dhawan!Master version is a bit darker than the Whittaker!Doctor version, but I hope that you enjoy both. Thank you so much for requesting! I really enjoyed writing both of these.💜

You Are More Than Your Failings

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Reader comforts The Master after his plans are ruined again.

Warnings - The Master being upset/sad/depressed/self-deprecating, self-harm on The Master’s part (repeated hitting), mentions of canon typical violence

Word Count - 1123

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Not Requested. This was totally inspired by a dream I had. It was a great dream that ended up turning batshit, but the part where I was comforting The Master made my heart flutter. I hope that you enjoy this self-indulgent fic!

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master failed again. He had spent months on this scheme, and he failed. Just like so many schemes before. Why couldn’t he just win? For once?

The Master tossed his dirty and burnt shirt into a pile of similarly burnt and destroyed shirts. He then removed each other item of clothing that he was wearing and tossed each piece into its own separate pile of burnt and destroyed clothes from past adventures and schemes. He always made a promise to repair his clothes, but he had yet to get around to finishing the said task.

The Master, like today, would just tread off to the bathroom in order to take a long shower after a failed scheme and would forget about repairing his belongings. Now completely unclothed, The Master turned on the shower and waited until it was warm to step inside.

Once he washed all the dirt and soot and grease and blood from his body, The Master let the water cascade down his face. He thought about the day and the scheme and all the ways he failed. The thoughts wouldn’t stop, they just kept flowing like the water of the shower. The Master banged his head against the tile of the bathroom in an attempt to get the thoughts to stop. He tasted salt. He was crying. He hit his head with his fist a couple of times before trying to calm down.

------------------------------------------------------------

You woke up to the sound of the shower running. This wasn’t a great sign. If The Master succeeded in his plans, he would usually wake you up to tell you the “good” news. If something went wrong, he would usually stay to himself, hide away in his mind and berate himself. Of course, every after-scheme cooldown was different. The Master knew what he needed. So, if he needed a quiet shower to come down from a successful scheme carried out, you wouldn’t interrupt him, and you would be there if he needed you. However, previous experiences made you wary and cautious of The Master’s possible sensitive emotions.

The Master eventually walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist and another tossed around his shoulders. The Master looked over at you, looked away, then did a double take and jumped upon noticing that you were awake and staring at him. You apologised but The Master just waved you off and moved further into the bedroom in order to get dressed. After he was fully dressed, he just stood and stared at one of his wardrobes. He didn’t know what to do now that you were awake and was starting to panic.

You could sense that something was wrong, so you removed yourself from the soft bed. You grabbed an old hoodie to wear over your sleep clothes to stay warm before moving to where The Master stood. You didn’t really need to talk, both of you knew what was going on. The Master looked at you for a moment solemnly, while you caressed his arms and chest before he fell into your embrace. Both of you stood holding each other like that for a moment in silence while you rubbed his back and massaged his scalp until you got an idea.

You pulled back for a moment and told The Master to wait for a second before completely ripping yourself away from The Master's wanting grasp. You grabbed a spare weighted blanket and then pulled The Master along behind you out of your shared bedroom and into the hall of The TARDIS.

“Where are we going, Y/n?” He sounded so sad and defeated. You just wanted to make him feel better.

“You’ll see.”

You smiled to try and give The Master some comfort and you pressed a caring kiss to the back of his hand. You led your partner to the patio of the house that The TARDIS made her outer shell present as. You sat on the large outdoor sofa and wrapped a blanket around yourself. When The Master didn’t join you right away, you spread your legs and patted the sofa between them informing The Master to take a seat there. He slowly and solemnly moved toward you and took a seat between your legs. His back hunched into your stomach.

You wrapped your body, and the weighted blanket, around The Master’s back. He sighed contently. The weight and pressure being placed on his shoulders grounded him and his chaotic mind. You kissed The Master’s shoulders. You spent plenty of time showing love to his shoulder blades, the top of his shoulders, and the top of his spine before kissing up his neck and placing one final kiss on his cheek. You wrapped your arms tighter around him and rest your head against his.

“You are so strong, Master. I am so proud of you. I am always proud of you. I love you so much.”

“You don’t have to do this.” He closed his eyes. You just wanted to help him feel even the tiniest bit better.

“I want to. However, you need me, I want to help you. And you deserve the praise, you always deserve the praise, Master. You are so good and kind to me.”

“You’re the kind one, love.” The Master jolted to face you. You were the one good think he had in his life.

“You need this, I don’t deserve to be praised for doing basic things.”

“I just want you to know that I appreciate you and everything that you have ever done for me. I know that I can be a burden sometimes.”

“You are never a burden, Master.” He only huffed and turned back to look at the Universe in response. You kissed The Master’s cheek and nuzzled into his neck while mumbling praises.

“Do you want to talk about anything?”

“Not yet. I just want to be here with you.”

“Okay. I’ll always be here when you are ready.”

The Master slumped his head against yours and you could feel him telepathically prodding your mind. You let him inside. The Master couldn’t properly form the care and the appreciation he had for you into words without being self-deprecating, so he just wanted you to feel his unadulterated emotions. You felt his love, his thanks, his promises to return the favour, his hope for happiness, and his calmness from being in your arms. You felt it all. You felt all he had to offer you.

You kissed The Master all over again and held him so tightly. The two of you stayed like that for what felt like hours, just watching the Universe unfold before you while comforting and loving each other through everything that was thrown your way.
