Part 2!

I still apologize for the photo quality

Part 2!

Connor and Travis Stoll!!!🥹🥹🥹

I love them dearly, although the art came out sloppy

Part 2!
Part 2!

Dionysus! I'm not sure I like this art ahahaha But that’s really how I imagined him from books, and it’s worth adding that I really like him! (When he shows concern for children) (It looks really funny without a beard, I couldn’t help but add it)

Part 2!

loved him from the first appearance

Ethan (and Hermes; so not counting the gods) is my favorite character (nobody surpassed him in The Heroes of Olympus or The Kane Chronicles), so it’s really hard for me to draw him, I can’t place the paper on the body as I see him (probably that’s why I don’t have All that's left is a normal separate photo of his art)

And yes, I really love weird eye patches (please imagine the patch is on the correct eye🥲)

Part 2!
Part 2!

Hades! Of the three, the main god is my favorite! Confident beard, but without it he's 🍬🍬🍬, so I was very happy when his Roman version didn't have a beard in his design

Continued post in the next part again!

The existence of Melinoe in the pjo universe implies that Mr. D is the reincarnation of Zagreus, and that´s concerning.

Well, that just adds onto his trauma which he really needs to recover from.

I'm curious, though-how is that concerning?

You know, it frustrates me to NO END that Rick keeps churning out these useless novels when he has two goldmines in Percy Jackson.

Said goldmines are-

a) MORTAL PARENTS IN PJO?

And I'm not talking about the Seven's parents and Reyna's and Nico's.

I'm TALKING about Dionysus and his two children Castor and Pollux. What about their mother? Who is she? How did Dionysus get to know her when he was at CHB? Did he date her before or after his punishment? He does say that he has a century to complete before he can go back to Olympus..........

I'm TALKING about Hermes, Travis, Connor and their mother. She must have been REALLY good for Hermes to come back a second time. There's nothing about her. Nothing. Imagine what Rick could write about her?

I'm TALKING about Clarisse La Rue and her mother. Why was Ares attracted to her mother? What is her relationship with her mother? What about Ares, Ms La Rue and Clarisse? Why is Clarisse a year round camper? Is her mother abusive to her? What about Clarisse, Ares and her mother?

I'm TALKING about Drew Tanaka's father. Was Drew born in Japan? Was her father an immigrant? And if she was born in Japan, what kind of discrimination did she face for being a bastard child? What drew Aphrodite to Mr Tanaka?

All wasted potential.

B) WHAT CAMP HALF BLOOD WAS LIKE IN THE EARLY CENTURIES.

All right, go check out THIS LINK.

So I saw ONE amazing post talking about CHB before and during WW2 that my stupid self did not like for some reason. If any of you know where it is, please link me to it.

Aaaaaaaaaand that's it. No one is exploring this absolutely unused potential, least of all Rick. Huh. WHY IS THE PJO FANDOM SO BORING-

If you know tumblr posts that talk about CHB in the early centuries, please send them to me.

Percy Jackson's fridge horror

What gets to me about Percy Jackson and the sequel series is that there's so much fridge horror in it.

For those of you who don't know, fridge horror is something that seemingly innocent but has very disturbing undertones.

Like the climbing walls in CHB. What do you MEAN that they clash together, hurting the campers who haven't reached the top, and that there's also fucking lava which BURNS THE CAMPERS, NO LESS. And that Chiron allows it?

AND THAT HE FUCKING INSTALLED IT?

And there's lava below? Do you know how serious fucking lava burns are? They're horrible. Campers might have even died before.

And there's a full lava and earthquake mode too, and boulders roll down on the campers, which is pretty serious and can make for some fatal injuries. Jesus, Rick, what the hell were you thinking?

I wonder if Luke saw the horror of this and if this was a small part that motivated him to join Kronos. I really do wonder.

And in ToA, the Three Legged Death Race?

Chiron wants to reward who come back..........alive. Because it's so dangerous that it has fucking exploding Chainsaw Frisbees and iron orbs falling from the ceiling. And apparently it's so dangerous that you can find fucking Python in there too. Oh hey Python, wazzup old mate-AAAAAAHHHHHHH-gets swallowed and painfully digested.

And this is all because a MILLENIA OLD TUTOR WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER AND A FUCKING GOD WHO'S SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THESE CHILDREN couldn't say no to a fucking eight year old who came up with the terribly dangerous and impractical idea for this race. An eight year old, folks.

Chiron is........a terrible person for this. No, fucking seriously. He sent those kids in knowing that they might die and have serious trauma if not. How anyone can like Chiron after this is beyond me. No wonder Luke joined Kronos. Such a shame he lost, though.

And Paolo Montes' limbs just casually being ripped off and then reattached? What the fuck was this, Rick? A child's limbs, that too, sawed off! Dismemberment is so comedic, especially when it happens to an unprepared child!

FUCKING NEWS FLASH, RICK, THAT'S NOT WHAT HAPPENS! DISMEMBERMENT IS SERIOUS AND PERMANENT TRAUMA! IT'S NOT JUST REATTACHING LIMBS AND OH EVERYTHING IS SUNSHINE AGAIN.

Feel free to add your own fridge horror that you've noticed.

All right, ok, LISTEN. I don't know who needs to hear this, but I'm pretty sure that some people do. It's ok to hate Percy Jackson because it depicts the Greek Gods in a terrible way. Rick Riordan has the creative license to write them however he wants, but it's still fine to be annoyed at how they're portrayed.

It's ok to hate the fact that PJO wasn't in Greece and that the explanation for why it was in America was terrible.

It's ok to hate the fact that Zeus, Hera, Ares, Athena and a whole lot of other gods were portrayed in a negative light.

It's ok to be furious because Ares is a bad parent in PJO.

It's ok to tear your hair out over the way Artemis and her hunt were written.

It's ok to be angry that Athena had children with mortals when she was a virgin goddess in the myths.

It's ok to be angry that Hades cheated on Persephone in PJO (even if you like Nico and Bianca and Hazel. It's fine to do both).

It's ok to be angry that Persephone and Demeter don't have a good relationship and that Demeter is largely painted to be an overbearing, helicopter mother.

It's ok to resent the fact that Artemis, the former's hunt and Hestia, the goddess of the hearth and another virgin goddess, were portrayed as literal CHILDREN despite there being no reason for Rick to do that.

It's ok to be annoyed with the fact that Poseidon was sanitized when he could've been such a morally gray character.

It's fine to cry about the fact that Aphrodite was largely reduced to a stereotypical, modern cartoonish version of RomANtiC lOvE when she was the goddess of LOVE, not just ROMANCE, SEX AND BEAUTY.

It's ok to like Trials of Apollo but want to smash things because Apollo was depicted as an incompetent dumbass. It's ok to seethe at the fact that Zeus was portrayed as an abusive father to Apollo when in the myths, he was quite loving.

It's ok to do this because PJO is one of the if not THE MOST major media that depicts Greek Mythology. It's basically a Greek Mythology fanfiction MODERN AU. And yes, it's helped thousands of children and adults and made them feel better, and it's almost as popular as Harry Potter for a reason. But it's still fine for Greek people, Hellenistic Pagans and even people who aren't Greek or Hellenistic to be angry with how Rick Riordan is continuously bastardising the Greek Gods and making them look more and more of a joke.

A lot of people who got into Greek Mythology used PERCY JACKSON as their first reference, and while Percy Jackson is a great start for venturing into Greek Mythology- PLEASE, PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT PJO GODS ARE NOT AS ACCURATE AS THE ORIGINAL.

POSEIDON IS NOT THAT GOOD.

HADES IS NOT SO VILLANOUS.

ATHENA IS NOT SO COLD AND UNCARING. SHE'S A MAIN PATRON OF HEROES AND RARELY ABANDONS THEM EVEN AFTER THEY'VE COMMITTED WAR CRIMES

DIONYSUS IS NOTHING LIKE HIS PJO COUNTERPART.

ARES IS A GOOD FATHER.

DEMETER AND PERSEPHONE HAD A BEAUTIFUL, LOVING RELATIONSHIP.

HERA IS NOT SO HORRIBLE. SHE HAD HER GOOD MOMENTS

ZEUS WAS NOT THAT BAD IN GREEK MYTHOLOGY AND HE WAS ALSO A CARING FATHER. HE SENT BLOOD RAIN DOWN TO MOURN HIS SON SARPEDON WHO WAS FATED TO DIE.

I know this sounds like I hate PJO, but I really do like the series. It's fine to like PJO and its characters while also disliking how the gods were portrayed. It's ok.

I really don't understand why Thalia had to fight the monsters and sacrifice herself for Luke and Annabeth RIGHT ON THE BORDER OF CAMP HALF BLOOD.

Literally WHERE were Chiron and Dionysus? They knew that getting Thalia to camp was very important-hell, why didn't Chiron himself search for her instead of letting an inexperienced satyr guide her?

Just another one of Rick's terrible writing choices that make no sense. This has been bothering me for a long time..........

WHAT WAS CAMP HALF BLOOD LIKE IN THE EARLY CENTURIES?

Ok, ok, LISTEN. THIS IS IMPORTANT. I HAVE LITERALLY NEVER HEARD ANYBODY TALK ABOUT THIS, AND I WOULD LOVE IF EVERY PJO FAN COULD SEE AND TALK ABOUT THIS! Does ANYONE ever wonder what Camp Half-Blood was like in the centuries before the 21rst? What about the 15th or 16th century-where did they go then? The concept of a summer camp is very modern, so what was Camp Half-Blood like? Did more demigods stay there? Did more demigods SURVIVE to adulthood because there was no technology? Was Camp Half Blood a sanctuary of some kind-how many demigods stayed there for a full year? And what were the cabins like? Did boys and girls have separate cabins or something? How were Christians and other Abrahamic people affected knowing that the Greek Gods existed? What did girls and boys DO in the camp? How did Chiron manage all of them-how many children filled up the Dionysus cabin?

And Camp Jupiter, what was it like there?

Oh my god, please reblog this! I would like as many fans as possible to see this so we can discuss it! Thanks for reading, and I will DEFINITELY read ALL comments, so don't be shy!

How do you think Dionysus looked when he was dating Pollux's and Castor's mother? Did he look like his usual self at Camp Half Blood or did he look more handsome, like his usual godly self before his punishment? It would be hilarious if he looked handsome when was dating her and then he went back to his usual appearance. Can you imagine her and her sons' confusion? She asks her sons about him and they describe him, and she's like, excuse me, is that your father? That's not how I saw him, and then she comes to camp maybe, and he reverts to his handsome appearance, confusing his sons and the other campers, and Chiron is trying so hard not to laugh.

And then his sons see him change appearances and stare at him in disbelief, maybe horror, and he smiles at them guiltily, and Chiron comforts them or something, IDK, I just think that that would be really funny.

If Zagreus was in PJO:

For context let me explain who Zagreus is first as his actual myth gets confused with the Hades game lore. Zagreus is the som of Zeus and Persephone (pre-Hades relationship) and he was considered Zeus’s favourite son, he was even considered as the next heir of Olympus. Hera ofc got angry ans sent out the titans to rip Zagreus apart but because Zeus mourned so much, he had Zagreus be reborn as Dionysus or reborn by Semele.

So this can go down two roads, Zagreus as Dionysus, or Zagreus reborn as his own God. If Zagreus was reborn as Dionysus in the PJOverse it would explain why he is so close to Nico. Why mr.D actually calls Nico by his legitimate name, because they are step-brothers. It could also explain a bit more why Mr. D was punished, beyond fawning for a wood nymph he want supposed to. Zeus probably couldn’t bare to see the son he once loved so much turn into the God of Chaos so he kept on banishing and punishing Dionysus throughout his life.

And as we know in the PJOverse the greek and roman gods can swap between those figures of themselves, and in telling of Zagreus/Dionysus they can also switch forms from a Burley bearded man, to a young fit man. Its also canonical Mr. D chooses to look rugged, so whenever he does appear as a more younger handsome man, could that just be Zagreus? But then their is also the other statement, what if Zagreus was reborn as his own god?

As I said earlier, Zeus would probably hate to face his son that he once loved so much, and fears Hera would kill him again so he sends Zagreus to the underworld to live with his mother and Hades as his new stepdad. Both Nico and Zagreus having a rocky relationship with their step-god parent would a a strong reason for them to meet each other as they are brothers from another mother. But with Zagreus living in the Underworld, he could help out Nico going back to tartarus under Hades nose to save Bob.

(Let me know if I missed anything myth wise or if ya’ll have some input too!)
