Gorilla!!!!!!!!!
Gaia my beloved, she is a very distant relative of Caesar through a sibling of the wife of Proximus Caesar (yes i headcanon that proximus is ironically the real descendant of Caesar and no he did not realize this was actually 100% either). She is very loosely inspired by Dr. Zira and Ari, as well as having some inspiration from Jordan Baker in the Great Gatsby. I forgot to specify this in reference but she is from one of the handful of “Old Money” chimpanzee families, and she holds a lot of prejudices that she doesn’t even realize are offensive (inspired by Dr. Zira’s blatant hatred for gorillas and orangutans in the og films).
Georgiana another one of my favorites ✨ A gorilla beauty standard in this AU includes them painting their teeth black (reference to how irl wild gorillas often have black teeth due to their diets that are high in tannins), and you also get to see Georgiana without her makeup and with visible freckles on bottom left yippee
More roaring 20s AU ‼️ This time showcasing three more characters (designs will be tweaked a bit since I’m trying to get more comfortable with drawing apes in my art style) and focusing on the complicated relationship between two of them
- Russell “Rusty” McGowan (Chimpanzee): a bushmeat hunter that works directly under Georgiana’s husband, Edward Cavendish. He lives off of the money he receives from the illegal trade for the sake of supporting himself and his young son, Forge, following the tragic death of his late wife, Ambrosia Callaway. Tends to be a bit reckless and is willing to do anything for a quick buck but is overall considered to be pleasant to be around, and is a bit of a hopeless romantic. Affair partner to Georgiana following what was originally meant to just be a one night stand but, they’ve continued seeing each other ever since; he enjoys/admires Georgiana’s feistiness and resilience.
- Georgiana Cavendish (née Leigh; Gorilla): “new-money” owner of a popular speakeasy, a former “Gibbon Girl” model (reference to irl “Gibson Girls”), and is considered to be a highly respected socialite due to her connections with Virginia and her husband being a feared gangster. She has a young daughter, Ortensia, who she genuinely loves very much and at best, simply tolerates her marriage to Edward but as time passes she finds herself becoming more and more miserable about it. She is a very flawed individual with many biases that she finds hard to overcome due to the way she was raised but ironically through her affair, finds herself slowly becoming more willing to understand other points of view.
- Virginia Seymour (née Callaway; Orangutan): “old-money” heiress to her late parents’ fortune and niece of controversial political/religious leader, Phineas Callaway, who is currently limiting her affluence with the excuse of “a young woman like herself just wouldn’t know what to do with all that cash!”. She is the childhood friend of Georgiana, a former “Gibbon Girl”, and is a well known socialite among those who follow the “Order of Caesar”. She is married to Finnegan Seymour—a bit of a corrupt lawyer, and is the loving mother of their baby girl Cornelia Faye—named in honor of the first ape queen Cornelia. She is cousins with the late Ambrosia Callaway, who she was raised with like a sister due to orangutans low birth rate and high rates of miscarriages/still-borns.

Mountain Gorilla I spent a lot of time searching for the right pose to depict this animal. It's so well-known and loved that I wanted to ensure I captured all its splendor. I believe I did a great job, but it was tough to decide. The drawing process was very challenging, especially since apes' facial characteristics are very human-like and convey the same spirit as ours through their eyes and expressions—a process I enjoyed thoroughly. I hope to one day see them in their natural habitat. Nowadays, they are a tourist attraction since this species cannot be kept in zoos. Interestingly, this situation forces governments to enforce laws protecting them, as they contribute significantly to the country's economy. He had NO sense of fashion, like zero. It was just... non existent.
That meant his father chose his clothing, mostly. Because from now on Adrien wants to choose his own clothing, and to prove to his father that he’s able to do so, he’s going to design something.
His first idea was to make a fashion line, but that would maybe be a bit much, Plagg’s opinion, not his.
“Kid, what are you doing?” Plagg was swallowing Camembert and suspiciously eyeing Adrien.
“I’m taking my measurements.” Adrien tried to press the band to his body, stepping on one end and holding the other pressed to his chest with his chin.
“You know, you could ask your dad or pigtail girl to help you. Your dad does this as a job and pigtail girl hast this as her hobby-“
“No. I need to do this in my own.”
“Su-“ The rest of the word was a loud burp sounding somewhat like ‘re’.
“One; this morning s gross. Two; you’re a Guinea pig. And three; get over here and tell me if this is a 17 or 77!”
“I thought you didn’t need help.”
“Well, it’s-“
“A 77. Even though I don’t know why you’ve put that thing like that. You won’t be able to make anything with that.”
Adrien dropped the band, knowing how dumb he must have looked.
“And what du you know about this?”
“If you believe it or not, I’ve maybe stalked your father during you were homework.”
“Too much information, Plagg. Just take the measurements, please.”
A few minutes later Adrien had his measurements and tried to calculate them with the fabrics and the cuts, which was quite easy as he printed a life sized pattern from the internet in his size.
The night before he had snuck the needed materials from his father’s work space.
He wanted a black hoodie with nearly invisible neon green dots on them and washed out black jeans with a crimson red stripe at each side.
In the end he had something black you could perhaps call an oversized T-shirt in black, with giant green dots painted on them, by himself, cause his father didn’t have the fabric he wanted.
And something went wrong with the pants too. They were a single circle, with one opening, the opening you got in. Which was in Adriens favor. But sadly he only found red jeans fabric, so he used this and Plagg drew a black line around the loop-trouser with a marker.
Adrien still wore it.
He couldn’t walk, so he sat in his spinning chair, with wheels.
He had asked Nathalie to schedule an appointment at the mansions cat walk.
She, Gabriel and Gorilla were waiting for something to happen. And then music started and Adrien wheeled himself down the catwalk trying to be on beat.
He maybe didn’t get a completely own choosing of his wardrobe. But he got to spend time with his father who taught him to sew in the example of Adriens design, how to take measurements, designed a for-fun-only fashion line and chose outfits with Adrien together that they both agreed on he could wear.
So yeah, it turned out pretty well. Maybe not as planned, but still good.
The third compilation... It's been already 150 individual sprites and I can feel I've improved a lot just in this compilation...I also feel super pumped out because wild world had 150 villagers, so if I focused on just that game I would have ended already (or be super close, considering NPCs)... Again, thanks a lot for your interest in this project of mine and all the support I've gotten in form of notes and messages, thank you ♥

Idk if it's me, but I can clearly see a very distinct difference between the ones I did like 3 months ago and the ones I did today.... also sorry but not sorry for dissappearing once again... I truly feel like shit like 98% of the time
