“You do? Weren’t you always scared of the dark?”

“I was- I mean I still am, but look how bright everything up there seems to be. Isn’t it amazing to know that most of these stars don’t even exist anymore, but their light still travels through space and brightens our nights? Something that’s long gone and still shows us its beauty.”

“That surely is wonderful.”

“I know, right?”

“But then what about the moon? It needs to be shown off by the sun, can’t even shine by itself and still - everyone is amazed by it. Isn’t that unfair?”

“Some grace needs help to blossom. I love the moon and everything about it. These nightly rays that light up the dark and then feeling them shine on me - that makes me feel magical.”

“You are magical.”

“Don’t you dare try to make this about me. It’s about the beauty of the universe.”

“But why? When I feel your eyes on me I feel magical, I feel like you help me blossom every single day and I for sure guarantee you that your beauty will forever shine on in this universe.”

“Don’t be silly, I ain’t got no shine. And it won’t be seen forever in no universe.”

“In my universe it will.”

I'm so grateful for having a person who listens to me rambling about random things and not getting bored because they love me unconditionally.

Cet amour que tu m’as offert avec générosité, abondance, avec une liberté qui m’a émerveillée. Ce qui a existé aussi c’est mon amour vers toi, cet élan, cette envie de te donner le meilleur, de me fondre en toi... 

Deux amours qui se rencontraient, tellement dissemblables qu’aujourd’hui je doute presque qu’ils aient pu s’apprivoiser avec autant de facilité. Je m’étonne qu’ils aient pu se reconnaître, se choisir et s’amplifier ainsi dans les premiers temps de notre relation. 

Je suis persuadé que ce fut le tien qui apparut en premier, qui s’élança vers moi, me capta, m’emporta. Amour bleu scintillant, lumineux, magique, suscitant un tel état de grâce en moi qu’aujourd’hui encore il me donne envie de pleurer. Amour qui m’a ébloui, transporté. Moi qui me sentais si différent, tellement à part, étranger parmi mes semblables.

Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes

Sadako and the Thousand paper cranes was the true story of Sadako Sasaki, who was a child when the atom bombs were dropped in Japan during World War II. She was only 12 years old when she died from Leukemia developed from the bombs—a fate similar to many children who were young when the bombs were dropped, linked to the effects of radiation. In the novel she tries to make 1,000 origami paper cranes that when completed will allow her to wish to heal, in real life she is able to make over 1,000 cranes but still dies, her wish not coming true.

The story of Sadako is known worldwide and impacts many as it is the story of a young child’s want to live and persistence. The story of Sadako also reminds all about how war is not a small or controllable action: there are many, many unforeseen consequences—and many that are foreseeable are ignored. Whether she folds the 1,000 paper cranes or not, the aspect of the story that hits me the most is how much she wanted to live, how much she did and didn’t understand (a lot of which was no understandable) and the love that surrounded her and surrounds other communities during a tragedy. A symbol of peace and innocence, this is a story that should always be shared, even when the days of war have ended.

We spend so much time together that she’s a part of me. She knows how important she is to me. She had childhood cancer. Her heart failed three times. And I was by her side the entire time. I never realized that I could love someone as much as this. She could never hurt me. She could never hurt anyone. We always ask her: ‘Are you angry?’, ‘Are you mad?’ And she always says ‘no.’ She laughs when I laugh. And right now I’m trying not to cry. Because she’ll cry if I cry.” (São Paulo, Brazil)

Grace Chastity contacted and made a deal with multiple eldritch gods and still remained christian. That girl met Gods, talked with them, saw them in action and was still monotheistic.
