Been wanting to draw Uraraka for a while, and also a Hp/bnha drawing, so drew her as a student!

Time Travel AU: The Weasley + The Not Technically Their Children and The Timey Wimey Number 13

Percy, Penelope and Oliver are the epicenters, once they turned 13 their memories returned

Each of the kids got their memories back at 13 except for Bill and Charlie, who only get memories back through doing things again like deja vu except way more clearly. This is because Bill and Charlie are older than Percy and because of the cursed vaults somehow

Harry and Hermione are able to get their memories back despite not being related to the Weasleys (though technically Harry is very distantly related) because they are soul connected/bound to Ron.

How this happened idk but it did, so instead of them getting their memories at different times they all get them when Harry turns 13, as he is the youngest out of the three

Percy has a way of communicating with Penelope and Oliver that’s not mail, its a message book, set up like a message board and until all children are 13 its just the three of them

It was a spell gone wrong, Penelope was trying to transfigure a Time Turner using a form of alchemy she had found in an untouched section of the ministry library, using Percy and Oliver as anchors, however it backfired and caused the three to wake up on their 13th birthdays

Percy beforehand could sort of see magic and afterwards so can Penelope and Oliver, just much fainter, because of this Percy knew that it wasn't just them three when the twins turned 13, as he assumed the weird hand markings on Bill and Charlie were unrelated and most likely caused by the vaults, which is not entirely wrong 

Each person that came back has a hand marking, its like swirls with the alchemy circle that was used in the center, its not visible to those who are not very sensitive to certain magic, alchemy being one of the ones Percy is pretty sensitive too

It was only three months post war, Fred did survive but was severely injured which had slightly carried over, George can also feel the pain that Fred can and vice versa but its severely dimmed

Percy was able to circumvent most of the insanity that was his third year (his roommate Adams was absolutely mauled and killed by his other roommate Nei and Percy was the one who found the scene after in their dorm, Percy was stabbed in the heart by murderous roommate after being super manipulated by him which was kinda stockholmish considering Percy did like like him) however Adams still died and Nei was still pretty insane, at least this time Percy didn't get stabbed, though the residual pain did carry over just significantly less, and hey this time he didn't completely pull away from everybody he loved and cared for in fear of them getting killed or him having to deal with emotions, he chose therapy this time

Charlie was more around during his last two years, he wasn't as sensitive to alchemy as Percy but he could still tell something was up, a lot was happening differently though he didn't know why it was different, it wasn’t until his last year that he realized that it probably had something to do with the vaults and told Bill about it, who was in training to be a curse breaker but seemed to already know pretty much everything loosely

The twins are connected, not soul bound/connected like the GT, proper connected, they can share thoughts feel each others pain (though only lightly) and their emotions (the more focused they are the more they can feel), this seemed amplified when they turned 13 and got their memories, the two rarely left each other's side, more attached than before, the heightened connection also allowed them to get an idea where the other was

Ginny was the most obvious about it, simply just pulling Percy aside and demanding an explanation because “This is something only you would have a hand in, not even the twins are this chaotic I swear”, she wondered if Luna would also remember despite her not having any relations to the Weasleys but considering its Luna anything was possible. Luna didn’t remember but did have something similar to the deja vu effect Bill and Charlie had, just a lot less, but since its Luna she didn’t need to have it as strong to know as much as she did

The soul connection between Harry, Hermione and Ron allows them to have a vague idea where each other are, have short thoughts sent to each other with training, have semi shared mannerisms (it's not strong or obvious), and feel each other's emotions, not that they know any of this beforehand. The bond was created during the horcrux hunt however since everything was strung so high none of them noticed anything was off, even after the war they just thought it was the bond of besties who literally killed and fought for each other and not some weird literal soul bond/connection, however everything is made extremely more obvious once Harry turned 13 and all three got their memories back (All the Weasleys were concerned as to why Ron just kinda started having a panic attack in the middle of the night, Hermione was much calmer because of her proximity to Harry but not by much truly, and Harry was a mess but what's new)

Bill had known something when he turned 13, he wasn’t sure what but something was different, he had an easier time with school and wanted to become a curse breaker despite not even knowing what it was. When he got more and more involved with the vaults he knew how to deal with them, knew just the right steps, when he had begun his training as a curse breaker he understood more. There was a curse on him, a time curse however it was scuffed and very broken, when Charlie came and talked to him about the weirdness Bill noticed that there was a strange marking on Charlie's hand, as a curse breaker he had to be able to see magic and his numerous charms and wards (I know theres like a proper term for little charms that are physical and stuff I just cant remember) helped with that

The twins doubt this timey wimey bullshit and while they weren't wrong, they were hit over the head for it 

Year three for the GT happens similarly enough, the difference being Harry talks to Remus about his parents and Sirius more and completely hands peter over to Sirius when asked, he does still somehow manage to escape but this time the GT work on getting Sirius a trial with the help of Penelope (their lawyer when the time comes is Lady Zambini or whatever her proper title would be, fanfics have made me love this woman) 

Voldy does still come back BUT Cedric doesn’t die, Percy and Penelope figured out a way to return vague memories to people like how it is with Luna but forced, problem is they gotta be 13 when it happens, so while Tonks would be in the know without the know, Cedric would be in the know with the know. The only way to do this is to alchemy their way through it, Penelope as the caster and Percy and Oliver once again as the anchors, otherwise it wont work at all

By the time Voldy is back, most of the horcruxes had been found but not destroyed as most of the information was with the GT, the destruction process goes well enough yada yada

As each got their memories, they barely acted like the kids they physically were which makes sense, however since they knew things would be better they relaxed, acted their physical age or younger, didn't care at all what people thought because goddamn it their childhood was stolen sue them for wanting it now, especially GT and Ginny, Percy and Co rarely did act their physical age and yet nothing was different because they were always like that

“Good morning, Peter. How’s your morning going?” asked a gray-haired lady as she walked through the door of the coffee shop.

“Oh, good morning, Mrs. Hudson! You know how Mondays are here. But how about you? How’s your husband?” replied the brown-haired boy as he prepared a coffee with enviable ease. Practically everyone in the neighborhood knew how clumsy Peter Sykes could be, but they also knew that, when it came to his coffee shop, his usual clumsiness was completely left behind.

“Oh, you know how Henry is. He keeps refusing to use a cane. The other day, he nearly fell down the stairs because of his limp. I swear to God, Peter, I don’t know what I’m going to do with that man,” Mrs. Hudson complained as she sat in one of the chairs by the café counter. “But tell me about you, dear. How are you and little Harry doing?”

It had been five years since Peter arrived in this small neighborhood in Glasgow with his nephew Harry in tow. The move had been unexpected, but the young man, barely 21 at the time, adapted quickly. The change had been drastic for both of them, but over time, they had earned the affection of the neighbors.

“Well… I think we’re going through a bit of a phase,” Peter said, rubbing his eyes as a trace of exhaustion appeared on his face.

Mrs. Hudson felt a pang of sympathy for the young man. Peter looked so young and seemed to have gone through so much. He was only 24 and was already practically a single father while running his own business.

“Is that so?” Mrs. Hudson asked curiously.

“Do you remember that hedgehog plush Daisy gave him?”

“The one that sings that funny song when you pull the string?”

“That’s the one. Harry keeps pulling the string and laughing every single time as if it were the first time… but I think I’m going to lose my mind if I hear it one more time.”

“Don’t be silly, dear. Kids always have a toy or a song they cling to. It’s normal.”

“I’m not saying it isn’t normal, Mrs. Hudson. I’m just saying I’m sick of that song.”

“I’m sure Harry will move on from that song sooner than you think, dear,” she said with a compassionate smile.

“He will if that toy miraculously stops working…” Peter sighed and then gave a crooked smile. “Although I can’t blame him. The song used to make me laugh at first, too.”

I can't get this idea of the Marauders x Spider-Man out of my head, so I started writing a bit about the background of each of the Marauders in this AU.

So in this AU, Hogwarts is like Brooklyn Visions Academy, the only difference being that it's located in London and the students are still divided into houses, but it's more like which dormitory sector you belong to and, ultimately, they're not taken as seriously as in canon.

Peter: He's an only child, his father is a paramedic and his mother is a nurse. Due to his parents' shifts, he's somewhat used to taking care of himself. He attends Hogwarts on a scholarship, although he always struggles to maintain good grades and not lose the scholarship. He suffers quite a bit when it comes to balancing his grades and his life as Spider-Man. He's quite close to his parents and his father's death really affected him a lot. After this, he became quite close to Professor Sprout and Professor Flitwick, often turning to them for advice. He's a bit afraid of Professor McGonagall.

James: Like Peter, he's an only child and his parents are quite old. Because of that, he's quite spoiled, but he adores his parents, and woe to the person who insults either of them because James Potter isn't afraid to hit someone. He's the captain of the Hogwarts hockey team. His family is extremely wealthy, so he's always attended private schools and has no problem spending money on gifts for his friends. He's Professor McGonagall's favorite, as he's the best student in his class and has ensured that Hogwarts hasn't lost a match in the last two years.

Remus: Like the other two, he's an only child. I didn't want to completely ignore Remus's lycanthropy, so I decided to make him a mutant. He can control the transformation, but it's quite difficult for him to do so during full moon nights, so he simply opts to spend them as a wolf. He still has scars, but they're from when he was attacked by Fenrir Greyback (who is also a mutant in this AU). Remus managed to defend himself, and that's when he discovered he was a mutant. Lyall Lupin has made a great effort to change his beliefs about mutants since discovering his son was one. Now he and Remus are quite close. Likewise, Remus couldn't ask for a better mother than Hope Lupin. Like Peter, he has a scholarship, and thanks to it, his family can afford to send him to a school like Hogwarts, as Lyall Lupin is a police officer and Hope Lupin works in a bookstore, so they don't have money to spare like James and Sirius.

Sirius: He's a special case. Like in canon, he didn't have a good relationship with his family. For that reason, he likes attending Hogwarts because it allows him to be away from his family for much of the year. Initially, when he and Regulus started attending Hogwarts, they were quite close, but they started to drift apart over the years. Finally, when he turned 15 (about 6 months after Peter became Spider-Man), he ran away from home and lived with the Potters for a while until his uncle Alphard Black managed to become his legal guardian. Sirius goes to therapy once a week, but he's managing quite well. Alphard is also trying to get custody of Regulus, but it's not easy, as the Black family is quite wealthy and probably has the best lawyers in England.

I've been browsing AO3 for hours and stumbled upon a few AUs where a character becomes Spider-Man. I quite enjoy these types of AUs because of the endless story possibilities, considering Spider-Man has a vast array of villains. The best ones I found were where Remus and James were Spider-Man. But I'm here to pitch an even stranger idea: what if Peter Pettigrew were Spider-Man? I mean, the guy is a coward, and I think that would make for a great story opportunity – someone as cowardly as Peter becoming Spider-Man, someone who clearly lacks a moral compass at first. And here's where I think Peter would urgently need the death of someone as significant to him as Uncle Ben was to Peter Parker. It couldn't be any of the Marauders because Peter holds them in a strange kind of pedestal, so the death of any of them might scare him more than give him the push he needs to do good.

So, hypothetically, a character not mentioned in canon could be used: Peter Pettigrew's father. Now, listen, Peter definitely wouldn't use his powers for good at first. I'd bet Peter would use them to steal some small things from stores – these kinds of things would give him some self-confidence, which we know Peter definitely lacked. So Peter's father discovers this, and he and Peter argue. Peter runs away from home, and his father goes after him (similar to what happens in Andrew Garfield's movie). Peter's father encounters the thief Peter just let go and is shot dead. Peter wants revenge because now he has these powers, and that's what he always wanted – now he's more powerful than anyone, and he wants to find the man who took his father from him.

I think his origin as Spider-Man would definitely be much more violent since it would be for entirely selfish reasons, but I also like to think that with the help of the Marauders, they could help him take a better path, especially James. I think he could definitely have a great influence on Peter's morality.

I also like to think that Peter would still be the same shy and kind boy but definitely much less willing to take any kind of mockery, especially after what happened to his father. As Spider-Man, he would be much more himself, as if wearing the mask eliminates that little fear of what others might say.

Lastly, I don't think Peter would be smart enough to create web shooters, so I actually think if I ever write this, I'd give him natural webs like Tobey McGuire's Spider-Man.

The opinions don't matter to me, but please, if you're going to spread hate about Peter Pettigrew, just don't comment. This is an AU, so we're completely taking into account the canonical personality of the character.

i’ve already started said fic here.

and it starts with james escaping with harry, and kickstarting an au where harry grows up with his father while voldemort survives halloween night.

BUT

imagine if the even numbered chapters were an au where lily survives. she doesn’t flee upstairs, she RUNS. she takes her son and she doesn’t look back. she thinks james is behind her, but eventually realizes that it was peter chasing her.

and, basically, at the end, the au’s connect in some way. in as close to a happy ending as possible (😬). i don’t want to spoil everything i have planned so far. but i’m so excited lolol.

just— two alternative universes where both parents are single handedly trying to raise their son in a failed world. trying to stay alive when every corner they turn could be the end.

James knotted the rope as tight as he could. The fraying fibers cut into Peter’s shoulders like twine making a hay bale bulge, but he couldn’t help the urge to check that Harry was still asleep upstairs.

His eye twitched the longer it was trained on Peter’s pale, sweaty face. And his fists clenched tightly around the wands in each hand. He didn’t miss the way grey eyes flickered down to ebony wood. He was scared, James realized with a bit of a start. He was shaking in the chair like a cornered animal.

His sandy hair was choppy, like someone had taken shears to it as a punishment. His face was breaking out, splotches of red like hives throughout his skin. His teeth were yellowing, and his nails were caked in dirt and overgrown.

He began to cry, and James’ curiosity quickly changed to fury.

“What are you weeping about?” he demanded, watching his volume. Peter wailed, only stopping when he bowed his head at James’ pointed wand at his nose.

“I’m sorry!” he stammered through each syllable.

James thought of Snape and Regulus answering vaguely whenever he asked about Peter. Saying he was serving Voldemort from one manor to the next. Staying hidden for the sake of keeping Sirius locked away. He briefly wondered if they’d held back more information to spare him the feeing he had in that moment.

Lily’s face appeared in front of him, the walls of their old home like blurry shadows behind her. He didn’t hear anything when her mouth moved, but he recognized the terror in her eyes. The tears that had fallen as she’d said goodbye.

“How could you do it?” he asked, hollow to Peter’s wide, fretful eyes.

“He made me,” Peter pleaded. The fingers of his left hand wriggled. “He made me vow to serve him until my death.” He shivered, as if the memory he’d conjured up made him weary. James felt like he was back in front of the television. “An unbreakable vow.”

James felt his heart break. It caught him off guard, and he sought to figure how it could have splintered even more. Instead, he stuffed a cloth napkin in Peter’s flapping mouth.

“I hadn’t asked you to do so much,” he waved his wand and watched as thin strings of silvery magic wrapped around Peter like cords of wire. He looked his betrayer in the eye, “Funny how you’ve made everything worse for yourself just on your own.”

He heard light taps above them, signaling his son’s rise.

thank you for your input!! i’m so happy to see that someone else wants james to be utterly pissed at the order’s shortcomings. because i’m still mad that dumbledore and snape knew voldemort was close, and they didn’t go the extra mile to protect them. it genuinely makes my eye twitch.

and i definitely don’t think i’ll be making james involved with anyone. at least not for a long time. i find it impossible for him to get over lily for at least a few decades. i’ll be keeping her ghost very close to him.

as for the order.

james hides away in london. he keeps an eye on the dursley’s for lily’s sake, makes sure death eaters don’t kill them. since it’d just be another bucket load of guilt weighing down the slab on his shoulders anyway.

harry grows up a quiet kid. he doesn’t talk much because he doesn’t have many people to talk to. and he and james rarely have to verbally communicate what they need. he loves dessert like his father, but hates lemon like his mother. he loves to fly around the house on james’ old broom once he grows big enough to hold it upright. james does not approve of it. he watches the cartoons that sirius loved, and the late night comedy shows that remus would change it to.

the hardest part for him was realizing that the last bit of mischief he’d held onto before, was gone. he was anxious and miserable. he pathetically joked that it was karma for the pranks he sprung on his own parents.

snape brought him messages from dumbledore, and allowances from gringgotts. and regulus kept coming because sometimes severus and james got too upset. and even though, one day, they’d both end up crying in each others arms, he’d keep tagging along anyway.

at first, james only let them in because a selfish side of him loved the way severus read books like lily. and he loved watching the way regulus wore rings like sirius, and ate too much chocolate like remus. he loved how to two of them cracked smiles at the jokes he rarely made, even if they weren’t that good.

eventually, voldemort goes into hiding. james hears that it was because he was almost arrested by some nameless auror from one person. but, another swore that it was because he’s grown scared of the new minister of magic.

james believed neither. but he considered checking on what was left of the order, seeking answers to questions he knew would only make him despise his naive self even more.

i’m thinking she had her wand, james didn’t, she made him take harry and run. and she was so infuriated and frightening, that james listened to her, praying to the whole universe that she would make it out alive. they had their final, desperate kiss. and then she was running towards the explosion at their doorstep.

he ran into the darkness, grabbing his broom and sobbing with his sleeping son in his arms as blue and green lights flashed through their windows. he took off and forced himself not to look back. because he would’ve ruined everything if he had.

he made it somewhere over the ocean, looking over dark waves as the sun rose again. he was freezing, but harry was watching him silently from his blanket. they were still in their pajamas. harry had always loved their broom rides, but he didn’t giggle like he usually did.

they eventually go into hiding. he reads about lily’s death through the paper, dealing with the grief on his own.

he reads about sirius’ arrest, and peters death. then, he reads about voldemort slowly taking over the ministry one department at a time. making it harder and harder for muggle born witches and wizards to come and go. then, it’s remus’ arrest after killing fenrir greyback in a blind fit of werewolf bloodlust.

he grieves again, because he’s truly alone.

while out shopping, polyjuice potion disguising him as he sorts through produce, he catches a cat watching him from the stoop of the small store. then, a familiar nose that makes him grab his son. then, a rippled vision of his best friend.

he pays five minutes later, because harry was much too thin to go a day without good food. and he tries to run. but, he’s quickly caught, and the flurry of spells he tries to send at the men are deflected with awful, sympathetic grimaces.

he doesn’t relent until the cat finally transforms, a cold hand patting his cheek as his favorite professor pulls him into a tight embrace.

it takes possibly too much convincing, but eventually he’s making them chai, and keeping harry protectively close. they ask him to rejoin the order, to let them protect him. protect harry.

he screamed at them, only catching himself haphazardly when harry began to cry. but he’d been so full of wrath as they spoke, like he hadn’t experienced the torture of own failure. like everyone he’d ever loved wasn’t gone.

all, except his son. he wouldn’t allow the order to fail them a second time.

he’d never seen severus or regulus look so defeated. like he was someone they cared about, and they weren’t sure how to comfort him. like they were friends. he bluntly reminded them that his friends were as good as dead. minerva teared up.

he packed everything up with a rushed spell, and took harry away with the three of them still sitting behind steaming mugs.

I REALLY hope that I use Gred and Feorge right, I believe they use them linked to the first letters of their names because the original joke line was about them not being able to remember their names and that's why they need letters on their sweaters as a reminder. p.p.s Ron uses this emoji because he's not comfortable with witnessing his siblings' in PDA kind of situations and he's quick to imagine things that he never ever wants to imagine. I guess he's a bit dense when it comes to his siblings. I believe it's in his character to think that they idk play games when they're alone with their partners. He wouldn't think they could hold hands/cuddle/kiss etc. So it's basically a shock for him every time. And he's not really good with expressing emotions, so this is what we have. So I've been seeing a lot of harry potter and like slytherin and house stuff all over and i have one thought. Why are they sorting children into houses using their personalities? Like when i took the pottermore quiz on my 11th birthday i was sorted into hufflepuff but when i retook the quiz at 15 i was slytherin. If anything first years should have their own dorm and then be sorted when they are second years.

Reasons why this should happen:

1: It gives people like Draco malfoy who grew up in a muggle-hating household the time and space to be around muggleborn students giving him a chance to make his own opinion about them.

2: It would ruin the harmful stereotypes for houses especially slytherin

3: It would give more house diversity especially in the main cast

4: remember when ron told harry that slytherin house was "evil" and that makes harry fight the sorting hat putting him in gryffindor, yea that probably wouldn't happen.

The Wizarding World did not stop existing after The Boy Who Lived. The prologue of the books say as such. Encouraging and confirming that wizarding life went on after the series. In fact, the world was much bigger than just Harry Potter and went on much longer. Though its world building was full of whimsy, much was left undiscovered or in the margins.

A Wizard’s Hearthstone will be my additions, extrapolations, and edits to the magical world of the Harry Potter universe set in the 21st Century.

Starting first, with the legendary school itself.

🍁Hogwarts🍁

Hogwarts is a wild, magical place of learning. Filled to the brim with adventure and history. The old stomping grounds of many a great wizard and a place of wizarding history both old and new. However, not all were too pleased about the students fighting against the dark wizard terrorist group and their horrifying resurrected leader. Nor the subsequent deaths of numerous of its student body and staff.

It’s safe to say that such a thing would leave many educators and parents in an outrage after the smoke had cleared. For all of Hogwarts defenses, its once prestigious lessons were criticized and its magical armor torn asunder. Big changes were quickly made to respond to the outraged call of the wizarding people en masse.

Magical defenses were reenchanted and purged of any holes it its spell work. Secret passageways discovered and marked. Students and staff are now required to keep an identification pendant keyed to their magical signature to be allowed entrance. Among many other new and developing defenses.

The Forbidden Forest is now monitored by a new group of magizology rangers. Who provide safety, education, and preservation of the magical creatures that stalk the ancient woods. Students are no longer brought there for a fear mongering detention, but to instead lead by the Rangers to keep the forest cleaned up from trash and to understand the incredible importance of an ecosystem working together in tandem.

The Thestrals who pull the carriages are kept in a sturdy barn and wide open pastures. Monitored by a ranger and occasionally the Care of Magical Creatures Professor to ensure both their safety and others.

However, perhaps the biggest change was done to how the education was carried out. With Hogwarts being criticized, so was its tradition. No longer are students organized into their houses based on their 12 year old personality, it is now decided based on learning style and values. Think of them like learning programs where students can thrive and find like-minded individuals. There are other factors that decide your house such as learning style, level of preliminary education, learning pace, ect.

Every student gets the same amount of care, and a lot of the classes look similar due to the professors, but the way things are taught are catered to what program/house they’re in.

Students in need of an even more personalized education program will also have accommodations organized with the head of house to meet their needs. Parents will be informed and can be involved if necessary. (Extremely special situations will also include the Headmaster/Headmistress)

There is also the ability to transfer houses if the need arises. A discussion between the Head of Houses, Student, and Parent is arranged to provide the best understanding and support for the student.

Houses are still decide by The Sorting Hat, but its sentient nature has allowed for an explanation to it of the changed curriculum. It now provides a quick test for the students that allows it to understand where they would best thrive. It does still take into account personality, but it’s less of a priority now than in years past.

Harry Potter Rewrite: Help!

I’ve been outlining more or less what I want the final result for my Harry Potter rewrite to look like but I’m stuck on two outcomes of Hari’s childhood:

NOTE: I have a headcanon in which the Potters are Indian, so James names his son Hari. I think I mentioned this before, if I didn’t, feel free to ask about it.

Hari is raised by his Aunt Petunia, but she leaves Vernon.

Petunia’s marriage starts falling apart when Lily dies.

Vernon didn’t let her go to her sister’s funeral because he was sure that the place would be crawling with “freaks”. Even if Petunia begged, he would still prevent her from going.

Vernon made nasty comments about Lily and James’ death, saying that they’re two less freaks to worry about.

Eventually Petunia leaves her husband and moves back in with her parents (who are alive in this version).

Petunia decides to go to college, a decision supported by her parents since they promised to help her financially and with the boys.

She studies to become an English teacher.

She loves her job. Also, she might fall in love with the History teacher.

She remarries, and it’s a man who treats her right and is good with the boys.

Both boys are treated equally while with her.

Dudley and Hari get along well. Although whenever Dudley returns from his weekends at his father’s, they fight a lot.

Hari grows up knowing he’s a wizard and knowing (more or less, because Petunia didn’t have all the details) what had happened to his parents.

Hari is raised by Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.

Remus, along with several other people who believed Sirius was innocent, start protesting and putting pressure on the Ministry so that they can give Sirius a proper trial.

Sirius is renamed innocent.

Dumbledore still refuses to hand Hari over to them, even though they were the rightful guardians of the child.

The last straw is when Dumbledore casually corrects them and says that Hari’s name has been changed to Harry.

They whitewashed his name. They were livid.

Remus and Sirius, along with some handpicked friends to help them, manage to kidnap Hari.

They take him to Wales, further away from Remus’ former home. They cast an insane amount of spells to hide themselves from Dumbledore. They were untraceable.

Other than the protections needed, they lived a muggle life.

They have other children (the names I’m still working out), there’s five kids in total.

Two of those children are werewolves, attacked at a young age by another wolf pack that’s not Fenrir Greyback. They—Remus, especially—wanted to bring them comfort when he found out about them.

Hari lives in a loud, chaotic household in the middle of nowhere.

Lyall Lupin eventually moves in with them because Remus worried for his father—the man was old and alone.

Harry Potter Rewrite: Religion.

The original Harry Potter series was heavily influenced by the Christian religion. I never thought it made much sense, so I decided to make it so that the majority (especially purebloods and half-bloods) practice paganism. They’ll have their own traditions and festivals and holidays.

There will be other students who don’t practice paganism, but that enjoy some of their holidays. So far, some of the students (in the Marauders’ Era, since that’s what I’m working on at the moment) who aren’t Pagans are:

1. James Potter—Hinduism

2. Peter Pettigrew—Atheist

3. Severus Snape—Atheist, but has Catholic leanings due to his muggle father

4. Lily Evans—Atheist, family is Catholic

Of course, other religions such as Judaism, Islam, and many more, will be included. I’m just currently doing my research on these religions so that I can portray them well. Any help or suggestion is welcomed.

Can you please give us more Luna in the rewrite? I think her story is very fun, and considering Pandora and Xenophelius existed roughly in the Maurderer Era, it could be cool to see how them and the Potters (and Longbottoms) got along

I can definitely try to work that in! I know that Pandora and Xenophilius will show up in my Marauders fic (which is part of the rewrite).

One thing is, Luna’s role in the story depends on what Hari’s childhood looks like, which is something I am yet to decide. I ask about it here. Please let me know what you think!

LOGICAL HOGWARTS - WIP

So I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. However whilst reading the series, one thing struck me above everything else - the way Hogwarts and the greater Wizarding World is seemingly set up just doesn’t make logical sense! Only one teacher per subject? With JKR telling us that there are approximately 1000 students at Hogwarts at any given time? 493 knuts per galleon? No Wizarding primary schools or higher education? So, me being the autistic Ravenclaw that I am, this took away from my enjoyment of the series. I needed it to make mathematical sense!

So I fixed it.

I have spend two years on and off coming up with a detailed overview of the school, from the number of total students and the male/female ratio, the number of students in every house, in every year, and how many could reasonably fit in one class at a time. Then I started on my class timetables. I had to appropriately plan every student’s schedule to make sure that no one had any overlapping classes, this ended up meaning manually writing down which subjects every student took and then sorting them alphabetically into classes based on the fact that I didn’t want more than 30 kids per class.

That still wasn’t enough though. I then had to figure out how we would get 1000 kids to school safely and efficiently, how we would sort them without making the entire school sit there for 3+ hours, how many professors would have to live at the school in order to provide adequate supervision for 1000 kids, a comprehensive list of school rules, an actual system of how many house points one would gain/lose…… I really dug myself into a hole and I couldn’t stop. In fact I’m still not done and I still can’t stop. There are SO many holes in this world.

Beyond this I have a whole alternate timeline that this whole thing is based on. Long story short, in my headcanon, the war ‘officially’ began with The Battle of the Department of Mysteries (which I have modernised to take place in June 2018) and ended in January 2020 with The Battle of Hogwarts, and then all students were required to repeat whatever year they were in during the war, because holy shit, the fact that they didn’t make any of them repeat a year after that mess is ridiculous. I’m surprised any of them even passed DADA with Umbridge!! Or that anyone accomplished anything the year Voldemort was literally in control of the school. Now I realise that modernising this story is probably an unpopular take - however I must stress how much I’m mainly doing this for myself so I can live out my Harry Potter fantasies in a relatable way lol. Feel free to ignore the modern times and just take my numbers to the original 90’s timeline if you’d rather do that than put yourself into the story like I do.

Also let it be known that I am in my 20’s and a mother of two… but my therapist knows about this and says it’s a HEALTY COPING MECHANISM…. soooooooo, guess I’m gonna just keep writing out this timeline and imaging what life would be like if I was 16 again woo! Anyway… Harry’s year would have to repeat Sixth Year. And believe me when I say the level of intricate detail in my alternate timeline is just wild. If you think I’m crazy for doing just this ‘Logical Hogwarts’ thing….. you don’t even want to see my alternate timeline. It’s wild. I’m way too invested in this. I’ve written over 30k words so far and I’m not stopping.

Also in my headcanon Hogwarts, everyone I like just lives because I’m doing this to escape my depression not to become even more depressed thank you very much! Snape, Lupin and Sirius Black all live and are put in a position where they have to run the DADA department together because, um, IMAGINE THE HILARITY!? Them hating each other, then eventually having to figure out how to work together? Reluctant forgiveness turned sincere apologies turned genuine friendship?? Also Remus and Sirius are so gay and Harry lives with them. Tonks has a different husband, they still both die and Teddy still exists. Harry is still Teddy’s godfather because of the genuine friendship he formed with Tonks. Dumbledore still dies. Originally he wasn’t going to but he just has to, I realised the story doesn’t work if he lives.

So, here we are. The second wave of Logical Hogwarts, re-vamped, rewritten in some parts, lots more added on! Two years and one more kid later! Feel free to take this for personal use or fanfiction or whatever, tag me or message me if you do I want to see your class timetable! Or if you want me to make you a class timetable I’ll do it!
