If you asked me about The Great Gatsby I would say Nick had a big fat homosexual crush on Gatsby. If you really asked me I would say
“it’s clear in the text that Nick is obsessed with Daisy in such a way that he leeches onto her. This could also be said of how he views Gatsby. One could say that Nick is just jealous of Gatsby but his inner monologue doesn’t reflect this sentiment. Just as Nick does Daisy he latches onto Gatsby’s social circle and life, attending his parties, following him to other sorts of activities and gatherings and some such things like that. Given all my conclusive evidence I think that Nick was just as infatuated (more so in a romantical/the way he romanticized jays life)with Gatsby as he was Daisy”
Which is basically the same thing but like with more yap. Anyway sorry if that was too much yap.
I started reading The Great Gatsby recently and OMG?! This is literally the fruitiest book I’ve ever read.
Like?? Every (and when I say every, I mean EVERY) character is just. So queercoded. They’re literally all living in glass closets like I for real won’t even be surprised if the end of this book is just everyone having gay sex.
No but for real, this feels like some sort of weird gay fever dream. Living for it though.
Anyways maybe I will do a further analysis on why I perceive each character as queer later on. Just needed to get this out of my system.
Gives this to you and runs

I will be one of these publications someday
The Great Gatsby's copyright expires January 1, 2021 and I for one am quite looking forward to the inevitable publication of Nick/Gatsby fanfiction.
Just finished The Great Gatsby, and the ending made me so depressed. Gatsby wasn't my favorite, but just thinking about how no one mourned the image of himself he created as a person. Jay Gatsby was only mourned for his material values. One person only called for a pair of shoes. However, Jim Gatsby was mourned the smallest bit by his father. Jim Gatsby was someone's son, and Jay had no parents, for he created himself. Jim was remembered for his childhood and mourned for that, and Jay was mourned for the house he bought Jim's parents. Jim was the death of a human, and Jay was the death of prosperity and riches. In my head, they are two different people in the same body.
Jay GATSBY meet Sherlock HOLMES
I swear this was really funny in my head

“San Francisco.”
“I see.”
Rating: 5/5
Summary: The story is set in 1920′s and it is fully narrated in the first person. Nick Carraway moved in to the Long Island in hope of starting a new life. What he didn’t notice was that the mysterious, wealthy and the host of the best parties, Gatsby, is his neighbor. And one day, he received an invitation, (which is very rare as people went there without invitations) to one of Gatsby’s exclusive parties. Little by little, Nick got to know Gatsby more and he was definitely not the kind of person one presumed he was.
My Opinion: This is one of the books I will never forget. Beautifully written, this book has both luxury and romance in its best form. The story is very simple but gripping. I think, everyone should read this book as it is one of the best classics of American literature. It is humorous as much as heartbreaking. The characters are very developed and relatable. I could find similarities of those characters with the people I know. The ending of the book broke my heart, as it will break anyone’s. Still I’ll never stop recommending this book because the heartbreak is worth it.
Favourite Character: Gatsby is definitely my favourite character among all. His determination and hard work is truly inspiring. His loyalty to a friend and the sacrifice he was ready to make for a love made me fall in love with him. He deserved a lot more than this.
Favourite Quotes: “He smiled understandingly--much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life.”
