I’m writing this at 1am because I’m feral BUT i digress…
Headcanons for what type of woman Castor and Pollux (because @fanaticsnail said those are their names and yes) would have as a partner
So for Pollux I imagine his girl would absolutely be That Bitch™️ and in the most iconic way. The hair is right, the fit is tight (in uniform if she’s a marine, and casual if she isn’t/is and is on leave). She’s a gossip, a tease, and dishes it out to her man as good as he dishes it out to others. These two are absolute chaos gremlins together. They will show up unannounced to Castor’s place and make a huge mess in the kitchen before he convinces them to not try to cook when they can’t. They end up sipping wine at his dining table while he makes dinner for them all. This woman would be fiercely protective of her loved ones and what they stand for, the type to fight tooth and nail, to claw and scratch and yell to be with her man. I think together they would also be able to find that vulnerability with each other, and in private moments they can enjoy simple things just as much as goofing off and being little shits. Pollux would worship in the way of offering himself up as of to a deity, willing to let her flames consume him in sweet oblivion. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to him.
Now for Castor, my sweet beloved boy. I apologize for any projecting that might happen here, he has my heart rn. I think he’d be with another marine, and his woman would be the stalwart lover, shouldering burdens with him without question. She’s the type that people say is just like him in public, reserved, collected, maayybeee sometimes there’s a stick up her ass. She sticks to her guns and won’t let people push her around about it though. She has asked Castor on multiple occasions (five) if he wants her to beat up Pollux for making fun of him, and has followed through (once) ((she suplexed him through a table at dinner and Castor just sat there with wide eyes while Pollux’s girl cackled and recorded the whole thing on den den)). Castor would be one hundred percent soft for her, the type to gruffly respond “yes ma’am, of course maam” when she’s trying her hardest to be strong and give commands even if she’s hurting. This man worships the ground she walks on and would do anything for her in such a like sworn knight protector way, not because she’s a woman, because he loves her.
Anyway that’s my inane rambling. Please please please please add more hcs, I crave The Content
THANK YOU FOR THE FOOD
Just watched Fan Letter and I need to talk about these two. Headcanons, names, opinions, fanfiction, GIVE IT TO ME
i love how everyone is taking their favorite one piece fan letter characters and making them their ocs; i think it's exactly the point of the episode.
those characters are purposefully left without a name because we, as the viewers, are supposed to see ourselves in them. we're supposed to look at them and relate to them, find a character that was inspired by the straw hats in the same way we were. i think creating these characters and these stories is the best thing the one piece franchise could have done to pay homage to their fans.
the fan letter characters are supposed to be appealing and relatable because they're supposed to be our reflections.
that's why i love how the fandom is reacting to them: we are already obsessing over them, finding names for them, creating fanwork. and it's exactly what we were supposed to do; make those characters ours, make them personal, bring them to life.
Marrow the brook fangirl💗✨💀 I frickin love her so much😭😭😭
Also her name isn’t actually Marrow but it isss now😂 (also I got it from a moot on twitter so yeee)

To me, what is so fantastic about One Piece Fan Letter is the emphasis on the way the Straw Hats have created these connections in the lives of people they have never met. The ending scene, with all the hands putting together the puzzle pieces, and the way that all these connections came together in one dazzling way-- I loved that. I teared up at that. Wherever the Straw Hats go, they leave behind all of these puzzle pieces for people to put together and create bonds that would not have existed had the Straw Hats not shown up!
And it also just... Makes me so in love with the concept of the world after Luffy becomes King of The Pirates. I know that Oda has the final chapter planned in his head, and I doubt we will really see the long lasting effects of Luffy achieving the title of Pirate King + his dream, and I really do not want a sequel series ala Boruto or Yasahime, but.... I want to see a world in which children believe they can become a Brave Warrior of the Sea thanks to Usopp, I want to see more children look at Nami and realize they don't NEED to have a Devil Fruit or Haki or muscles to have adventures. I want to see the next generation of the One Piece world believe so strongly in their dreams, that they set out to accomplish them.
One Piece Fan Letter really opened the door, I think, for more and more stories about the "regular" people in the world of One Piece, the people you don't see in the arcs because they're the nondescript background characters, and how the Straw Hat Crew has changed them. And I want that. To me, that is fantastic.
These glasses made me cry.
Usually, whenever fanatism and admiration become too much to the point of wanting to turn yourself into your idol, you end up forgetting yourself. She begins the short by dressing exactly like Nami (no glasses despite needing them and sandals to walk Nami's steps) and complaining about how she could pretend to be a better Nami than the fake one.
She thanks Nami for inspiring her to be adventurous and live an intrepid life, to the point where it seems she wants to be her in order to do so.
And yet, at the end of the day, it's herself (with her glasses, barefoot and far from the perfect ideal she has of Nami) the one who saves the day and gets to live her own adventure.
I love that Usopp is the only straw hat who interacts with our main girl in One Piece Fan Letter. Because Usopp gets it. He’s been there. Of all the Straw Hats, I feel like he’s the closest one to a “normal” person. Even now with all the insane skills he has—the portrayal of the other Straw Hats on Sabaody felt like celebrity cameos, giants spotted in the wild…whereas Usopp is portrayed as just a guy. Bending down to help a girl pick up her things, checking if she’s ok, giving her terrible advice on how to sneak into a bar. Part of this is because at this point Usopp doesn’t have a bounty under his own name, so nobody would know him. But it’s notable that for all the little fandom jokes and Easter eggs the episode sprinkles in, nobody mentions Sogeking. It would’ve been so easy to drop even one quick joke about it. But no. Because with Usopp, we don’t love him for the persona. We love him for the goofy, insecure, empathetic guy that he is. So of course the Straw Hat with the most speaking lines in an episode about regular people is Usopp. Of course he’s the one to see our girl, actually see her, and reach out to her. Of course.
the difference between robin and chopper's reaction about franky's special magazine is sending me LMAO

OP FAN LETTER INTRODUCTION
The realest post
sopping wet cat of a man
When I first saw a clip of One Piece Fan Letter it had no subtitles and it was the scene where Luffy yelled 'Set sail!' then cut to Nami's fan, at the time I thought this was like a small alternate universe or something were Luffy meets Nami's fan and was calling out her name, so that whole time I thought her name was 'Makota' and I'm attached to the name now so I petition that Nami's fans name be Makota just for the heck of it
