In love with your analysis and it got me thinking of my own. It’s my first so hhh plz be patient with me. Lol So here;
I think that cc!wilbur is setting up a more complicated conflict that involves more than just c!dream. He’s showing us more reactions to c!Wilbur’s change. He showed us c!Tommy who was apprehensive but still cares for him. c!Phil who forgave him entirely and maintains he did nothing really wrong. c!Ranboo who wasn’t affected too much so he gives c!wilbur forgiveness. And now we have cTubbo who forgave c!will but couldn’t trust him to join paradise like Tommy or Ranboo (I give up typing c! it’s all about the characters lol). So following that pattern, i feel like the realization that dream isn’t a good person will come with some others. Which I think are not just around Dream but, Niki, Jack, Quackity, etc. Everyone from or greatly affected by L’Manburg. I think that Revivebur might not receive forgiveness from everyone. I’m excited to see (and a little nervous cuz heh wilbur makes the feels incredibly real.) But the reactions to his change are each incredibly different and I think soon we’re going to see some sharp “fuck no”s to Wilbur asking for forgiveness.
But this begs the question- why is he the only one asking for it?? Why is he the one who everyone blames for L’Manburg’s destruction. Yes Dream has been imprisoned but Techno and Philza also destroyed L’Manburg. A place that was people’s home and not harming anyone. And I’m even more so directing this at the fans of dsmp. I find it incredibly interesting that at the first glance of finding a villain to hate- everyone clung to it. No one views philza or techno in the way they view wilbur. And arguably they did much worse than Wilbur! L’Manburg was rebuilt after Wilbur but there’s hardly any hope for that after Dream, Techno, and Phil blew it up. They’ve received no repercussions while wilbur received one of the worst fates i could imagine. It just doesn’t seem fair. And the thought that Wilbur views that as fair I think could change the more he learns about the past. The more he realizes exactly where he did mess up and does need to take blame- and where he doesn’t. I actually really enjoy the whole chat fuckin constantly saying “manipulation!!” as a meta thing. Because as wrong as they are- they are technically the voices inside Wilbur’s head. The ones constantly hating him and saying he was the villain. Idk just something interesting. (And pretty funny too cuz it couldn’t be intentional lol).
This is why I think that Wilbur isn’t the villain he convinced himself he was. He definitely messed up- that much is clear. And he was punished for it for 13 years!! (A long fucking time to live out your own personal hell). But in spite of that he was not a villain. The people around him were equally to blame for what happened- but he shouldered all of the blame. The line, “what if we’re the bad guys” isn’t just him saying “i’m going to make bad decisions”. It’s him saying that he is already being demonized and has decided that if he can’t stop being thought of as a villain- he’d embrace it. He decided to take the blame. To take all of the responsibility for L’Manburg’s destruction. But now, now it’s becoming clearer and clearer that that blame was horribly misplaced. He made a bad decision. But other characters got off scott free. Phil who wasn’t there for his son or didn’t want to talk him down from the panicked revelation of what he did. Dream who enabled all of Wilbur’s paranoia and fear driven actions. All the people around him saw his descent and pain and did nothing to help. They didn’t know what to do sure, but blaming him for his pain is an incredibly bad idea. And the effects on Wilbur were clear. He went for the bad decisions when he felt he could not ever be seen as anything more than a villain.
I feel like finally I’m understanding a whole lot more about Wilbur. Because beforehand everyone always was going on about how horrible he was but I never saw that?? I was always really confused because he never seemed horrible to me. He seemed sad and scared and angry. Those things don’t make a horrible person. They make a person in need of healing. Ha. Now I’m feeling very vindicated. A part of the theme of Wilbur seems to be, “bad choices do not make bad people”. And i agree. I think that sort of moral is really important for the internet culture too- in a surface way at least. I mean there are so many more layers though so I won’t reduce it to just that.
I’m really interested to see what will happen next because with all these conflicting and interwoven dynamics- the tension and conflict already being so ripe- i can only see this ending in some masterfully awesome way. Heh- leave it to cc!Wilbur to not only create something this rich with potential, but to utilize it in every perfect way.
the thing is like I'm so paranoid that this is all some massive ruse but like- it all lines up? everything wilbur says and does makes sense and is in character and it doesn't look like he's lying,, not in his mannerisms, nor what he's saying.
we knew he cared about l'manburg bc of the stare at the camarvan, we knew he didn't know about doomsday, his guilt over tommy makes sense, his guilt over tubbo makes sense, his nostalgia for l'manburg makes sense, his desire to be trusted makes sense. it all lines up with the reddit post too. it all lines up perfectly for a c!wilbur who's finally letting himself be a bit more honest, but cc!wilbur's also threading in some issues so masterfully.
cc!wilbur is setting up this massive caveat of "c!wilbur is getting better but he still views dream as his hero" and I am so excited to see how his attempt to redeem himself collides with that. he's relying on ranboo for validation, is still struggling with putting himself blocks above others (although he stepped down for tubbo today, which is improvement), the fireworks line was ominous, etc etc. but god does it feel good to be proven right.

War isn’t forgiving but I am
During the war you tried day and night to get him to stop just leave it all alone. You understood that what was happening was wrong but you were months into pregnancy and refused to get involved with the baby on the way but he refused to stop fighting so the baby could live in the country he built but in the end, he was arrested and put into prison along with dream, lmanburg was destroyed. Everyone went their own ways. You cried for days during the trials. He sat in the wooden chair with his head low, his red beanie dirty and dusty. You couldn’t look at him it all hurt so much and caused to much stress so for the last days of trial, you just didn’t come. You went to his father Philza, he welcomed you with open arms and helped any way he could, tommy and tubbo both went to the prison multiple times to see him and they told you he constantly begged for your forgiveness,he wrote tons of letters that you couldn’t bring yourself to read. You didn’t hate your husband, you loved him more then anything but with what happened, many many people were looking to kill you and the baby, which tommy told Wilbur which made your husband became extremely angry and refused to see anybody until you came, he lashed out on everyone and hurt other ppl in the prison even sam was hurt during it all. You thought you could just hold out till the baby birth but sam came begging for you to visit him, he stopped eating and refused to go outside when there was free time, he was writing and writing. Sam looks to you “y/n please forgive me but you need to see him, I understand your with child but he’s going insane, we fear for our safety now and for his own” you sigh gently moving your hand over your now eight month belly “ I’ll…I’ll come tomorrow “ he gives you a nod, the whole night you tossed and turned thinking of everything that could happen. You feared he hurt you and the baby but you had to remind yourself he wanted a child ever since the wedding and before, he would never hurt you….you hoped. The next morning you leave with Philza going through the security and everything. Sam was fast about it. You walk through the hall to the door, Sam unlocked it and you look in seeing your husband on the bed, his beanie nowhere to be found and his glasses were dirty and he looked extremely skinny, Sam put a chair by the door “ call if you need help “ Wilbur fingers moved “ if it’s someone other then y/n,I will kill them “ you shivered feeling the darkness in his voice, you were nervous but spoke “ that’s not very nice beloved” you never seem him move so fast in his life, he shot up falling back as tears ran down his eyes, he came closer but slowly “ please be real, please tell me this isn’t a dream please, I’m begging you” he back up yelling “ SAM SAM” you get up touching him, his eyes widen “ your warm, omg your warm” he hugs you tightly “ your real your real” you hug him back “ I am, I am” he sobs holding you close and drops to his knees with his head down and cries “ forgive me y/n, forgive me please I love you. Please don’t hate me everyone else does, don’t hate me please” your heart breaks as you rub his back lightly “ please stand love, please. I don’t hate you” you sit back down as he looks up from your lap “ then why didn’t you come sooner y/n, how many months along are you “ you felt shame and felt lost, he comes closer and you see the scars on his face, his eye is sunken from the beatings, he looked broken “ eight months,I..I..I don’t know why my love, I was scared” he stepped back and you grab his wrist “ not of you no oo my not of you “ you see his shoulders relax “ after the trials I got threats love, they threatened the baby’s life, I had to go further away” you saw his face drop and his eyes looked blank, he gets closer holding your hand “ I’m….I’m sorry y/n, I should of just stopped now your so far along, I won’t even be able to see the birth of my first child” you knew this all broke him, you rub his shoulder and cup his cheek “ maybe you won’t have too” he looks up fixing his glasses “ what do you mean beloved” you hum.
“maybe Sam will let me have the baby here, if your behavior improves” he smiles for the first time since you’ve arrived “ I will do anything anything to see my child’s birth” you smile “ I’ll speak with Sam” he gets closer “ can I kiss you” you smile nodding, he kisses you softly cupping your cheeks and smiles through the kiss “ still the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen” he chuckles leaning down moving his hand gently over your swollen womb “ girl or boy “ you smile “ a little girl” his eyes light up “ really “ you smile “ would I lie “ he shakes his head “ I love you” you cup his cheek kissing him softly “ I love you too”. After two weeks of begging sam allowed you to have the baby their which everyone except Wilbur we’re completely mortified by it, Philza chocked when you told him and the boys lost it saying that they would lock you in the room until the birth but the only person who came around was Philza, he loved his son and you so he agreed to help with his granddaughters birth. That night you arrived at the prison a day before your due date you already started having contractions, Wilbur since then had cleaned up and was officially considered a normal prisoner. Six hours into the night you gave birth to a beautiful burnet baby girl, her lungs were strong and Wilbur cried the whole time while holding the infant, he thanked you and that night all three of you finally were at peace, he was at peace. He kisses your head “ goodnight my love” he brings his daughter closer smile “ you as well”.

The scar on his chest, comes from when he was killed by punz on the final control room
The scar over his heart is from his second life loss by punz, the arrom he shot
the scar on thw middle of hia body is indeed the cut from philza's sword and his last lost canon life
Ghostbur said Wilbur doring hid presidency would cry himself to sleep and Wilbur's character once said that he wanted to die and stay dead. So getting both my intrusive thoughts headcanon, that Wilbur has voices in his head much like techno but instead of wanting blood, they want pain, and they would keep saying bad things for Wilbur until he would hurt himself. They had quieted down during his life until he became president and they came back to haunt him due to the stress, they got even louder during the pogtopia time. that's where the scarss on his wrists and thighs came from
The scar in the middle of his body and on his ankles come from being sliced by the train during the limbo, he wasn't mentally well for sure and as said on point 4 the voices didn't leave him during limbo so he trying to get put he'd end up jumping on the tracks snd getting sliced. But ya know he was already limbo he just came back, because like it's said in jubilee line, "There's a readon they fail"
the scar on upper arm is actually a continuous amount of stab he would do for entertainment in the limbo, revivebur added that, the area with the bandages wraped around wete made with a sharp object so, that's what came to my head
The scar on his eye come from the pogtopia time as well, i see him and Schlatt hiddenly meeting up to discuss, Wilbur going all democratic, but Schlatt would always be drunk and wilbur would end up drinking as wellz and both would act as if their friendship never went to shambles. But one specific day, they were going to discuss and Schlatt was super drunk, wilbur got mad and both started arguing and Schlatt would punch wilbut and end up breaking one side of his glasses and that's how wilbur noticed it would be tyranny anyway and started putting his hair over his eye to not make suspicious for tommy and the rest of pogtopia.
The scar on his nose also comes from when he fell from the pogtopia stairs.
The rose-quartz necklace is something all the SBI have, Wilbur has technos, technos had tommys, philza had wilburs and tommy had philza's. Wilbur uses the necklace as a placebo to calm his anxiety and as to hold it to remind himself, if he needs Techno is there.(Techno kept Wilburs when he found it in the snow, since Phil threw wilbur's yellow aventurine away when wilbur died)
Lots may think, his tusks and ears sre for like techbur twins or some. But no. The reason for his Tusks and point ears is actually beacause i headcanon wilbur as a shapeshifter, he can shapeshift to any animal he wants and i usually draw shapeshifters like that.
The Wings, he got the wings from being obviously Philza's son. But one of them got chopped off by dream when the revolution started, he said he would fight and dream didn't took it lightly.
The smiley tattoo comes from being revived by dreamz tommy also got it in my tommy design.
random secret is that Wilbur is half blind for the eye scar and half deaf from the dame ear because of the explosion

Day 12:
I think I might bulk post the rest of the doodles from June. Both this account and my Twitter are ridiculously far behind my Instagram. I have one more computer doodle before I had to use my sketchbook for a while so I think I'll probably post all those together after tomorrow.
After today's lore and with the grip this song has on me right now, I propose Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush is the anthem to c!crimeboys.
Think about it, C!Wilbur got pissed when C!Tommy revealed the truth about Exile ans how he felt about exile. C!Wilbur didn't know that would ever happen to C!Tommy when he was dead. He still loves his brother deeply. Enough to go face his abuser with him and give him even a little peace of mind and freedom back.
Reversely, C!Tommy would have done anything for C!Wilbur to have not died during November 16th. He loves his brother a lot and would do anything for him even though he is the younger sibling.
