How the brothers came to be.

It was about 200+ years ago, when there were two brothers living with their mother and father in a kingdom surrounded by a massive forest. As kids, The Kratt bros were seen as odd by the rest of the kids and townspeople. Willing to pass the kingdom walls and venture into the dangers of the forest. Everyone else saw it as so anyway. To them, it was their only place of freedom. The only place they could let loose and get away from the high standards of the Kingdom. Their mother had a hard time keeping them under control either. They'd just sneak out to go to that forest no matter what she did. So she didn't even try. But as they got older.. they started conforming to the rest of the kingdom's wishes. Yet went to the forest every now and then.

The two Kratts were now young adults. Working on the Kingdom's Guard. Chris as a Archer and Martin as a swordsman. And although they both enjoyed their lives. They felt like it wasn't their true calling. Like their hearts longed for something more. It was like this for a few years until.. the kingdom's king at the time, Planned to destroy the forest to expand the kingdom. Which the two brothers were extremely against. They tried to convince everyone, anyone, but no one would listen. So, on the day of the forest's destruction. They fought for it themselves. It took weeks of planning, but they had sabotaged The plans and the forest was saved. Well.. for the most part. A significant part was still damaged. Caught ablaze. As the Rivers dried up and the leaves became nothing but ash. All though they had stopped it from getting worse. The harm done was already too much for them.

Chris remembers the way martin saw the river. All the fish were dead.. he loved swimming in the waters. And he was hurt too, seeing the trees he used to climb on now lifeless. Martin then just went on his knees. And prayed to mother nature herself. With all the power he had. Chris was a little surprised at first, but joined his older brother.

And To their shock, she responded. She'd been watching since they were young actually. Seeing their souls was as in tune with her creation as she was.. so. The winds blew and the rain fell.. as a drop of ancient power was bestowed on them both.

The power, of the gods themselves.

my immediate reaction to the powersource mechanic post: *imagines a prison designed to cut off their power source, like chaining them up to the ceiling in a metal cell, like toph in atla* im very normal

NO CAUSE I WAS THINKING OF ZACH DOING THIS TO THEM

[WKDG AU 🌊🌿 - where there power comes from]

Okay so This is a horrible visual but basically they take energy from the ground like plants. (It's more of the spiritual type of energy though.) The energy starts from their feet and goes up into the rest of their bodies. Chris takes his from the Soil, Trees Plants. While Martin takes his from the Sea, any body of water, to rain. They don't strictly need to find energy there (like Chris can get energy from water and Vise Versa) but the Amount of energy they can take is significantly cut in half. Which is why I made them barefoot cause If they wore shoes they would never get enough energy to sustain their powers for the way that they use them.

And their marks glow too when they're getting energy from nature.

And also they can physically see energy when they need to collect power.

Does this mean they can take too much energy and suck the life out of living things? Yes but mother nature would strip them of their powers if the bros did try to do that.

(WKDG AU) 🌊🌿- Is Anyone There? (short thing)

[Aviva Really hated going into the Forest. It wasn't because she was scared of it or anything. It was just too high of a chance she'd get lost in the trees.. She was already pretty deep in, as the dusk turned the beautiful forest into a place where anything could jump out and get her. Her Lantern was slowly running out of light, and she needed to find her Invention fast. Or what was left of it anyway.. but.. as she was in her own thoughts, a rustle was heard from high above the trees.]

"what was-" [another rustle cut her off. She raised her lantern high, trying to get anything close to a figure. Aviva looked behind, starting to feel really tense..]

[The Inventor was about to step backwards and go back to the kingdom gates, she felt her boot step on something which cracked, she looked down, seeing some sort of wooden arrow with a green paw engraved on it.?]

"okay.. don't panic- uhm.."

[She took a breath.]

"Is anyone there?" [She asked. Her voice echoed.]

[After about a minute of waiting. She just assumed it was just an animal. Aviva picked up the two broken halves of the Arrow and placed it in one of her many pockets. Deciding to try and look tomorrow for her Invention. But it's probably long gone already.. so, she turned back hastily.]

[little did she know.. there was someone there. Two people in fact.]

"It seemed like you missed an arrow Mr Organized.."

[Martin spoke as he whispered to his younger brother. Both of them high up in the Branches looking at Aviva's lantern light slowly as it fades far off..]

"well sorry. Look. She seems.. safe. Enough. Plus i don't think she's gonna think anything serious with a single arrow. I mean that could be anyone's arrow!"

Martin nodded.

"i mean yeah, you might be right.."

The green Kratt leaned back on the bark.

"anyways.. i think it's time to head back home."

"mhm. Lets. Where do you wanna rest tonight?"

"well.."

[The two brothers climbed through the trees into the night.. choosing to hit the hay.]

Hope you all enjoyed! I'm not a good writer but hopefully this was decent enough.. btw got lazy with the kratt bros so i didn't draw any bodies lol

Hii!! So i kinda need help??

I Have This WK Au I'm working on:

And i need some Help with a few ideas. Like what to do with the rest of the Crew and specifically with how old the Kratt bros should be. I'm not sure if i should make them thousands or hundreds of years old or go a little younger. And with the crew I wanna make them still human. Maybe have some powers cause this is a fantasy based AU but not rly sure about their jobs and such. Anyway thank you!! I'm really interested with the ideas i can get!

Age - 250

Personality - Calm, but still a little silly, likes talking to humans and telling them facts about the Ocean

DemiGod of the Land/Plants

Age - 246

Personality - much more quiet compared to his Brother, still friendly to humans and tells them facts, but is more cautious and tries to spy on them in the tree tops to see if they're good or not..

(BACKSTORY)

[Fantasy esc setting, The Kratt Brothers are DemiGods after showing mother Nature that they would do anything to keep the earth and its inhabitants safe. They then got a part of the Earth infused within their souls (martin water) (Chris Land) and now they reside in some forest near a river which connects them to The sea!]

(POWERS)

[🌿🌊 - Both brothers can shape shift into any animal they wish (the only way to tell if it's them is to see if the creature as any Blue/Green details on them, and they can both feel animals and plants feelings around them, also like heightened awareness and senses]

[🌿 - Chris He can grow plants and manipulate vines (elemental powers)]

[🌊 - Martin can Manipulate Water/Ice]
