Did any other aroace-spec people try to write fanfiction when they were younger, but struggled to write romance/romantic scenes? Because I vividly remember trying to write fanfiction when I was younger, but not really knowing how to write the romance because that wasn't something that I felt that much. And this goes for all kinds of romantic fanfic, reader insert, OC insert, shipping, etc. I tried writing all of the above, and every single time, I was unable to write, or even sometimes start, the romantic scenes, because I just didn't know what exactly that felt like or how romantic relationships started. And even when I could get through writing fanfic, it just felt SO unnatural and weird to actually write; like not bad, but just odd, like not realistic. But somehow, people really liked it, so I guess I did something right lol
I WANT A QPR SOOOOOO BADDDDD!!
I want someone that I can call my partner, but not necessarily in a romantic way. I want someone to hug and be close to. I want someone who I can listen to and who can listen to me. I want someone who shares my interests. I want someone that will agree to discuss and respect our boundaries with one another. I want someone who I can just be with, like we can just exist together. I want someone who will go book shopping with me and just listen to me gush about different books. I want someone who will walk down the halls with, and maybe we'll hold hands and maybe we won't. I want someone who will always be ready to comfort me and who I can comfort whenever they need it. I want someone who will help me calm down and think through things carefully. I want someone who I can explore and go on adventures with.
Basically, I just really want a queerplatonic partner/relationship.
Asexuality is a spectrum. No two asexuals are the same đ€đ©¶đ€đ
I just found out about a subreddit called r/actualasexuals where the whole thing is being a dick to people who don't fit their narrow definition of asexuality. I just wanted to let people know so they can stay away. Of course, don't harass anyone in that sub, because it doesn't help and it's just plain wrong. Just do everything in your power to stay the hell away!
Aroace culture is seeing people talk about how hot your favourite character is, and feeling deeply uncomfortable. And feeling even more uncomfortable when you see antis claim that you love the character only because they are sexy, while in reality it's because you see yourself a lot in them.

First the Asexual Flag! An Asexual or commonly Ace is someone who feels little to no sexual attraction.
Next Aceflux! Acelux is a sexual orientation on the asexual spectrum. It is defined as someone whose sexual orientation fluctuates but generally stays on the asexual spectrum. An aceflux individual may feel very strongly asexual one day and less asexual another day, they might feel demisexual or greysexual at times. Some aceflux individuals may feel like they are allosexual at times. (Yes I copy and pasted it, :p) There Are three flags, all three apply and if you choose or realize you might be this then you can choose whichever!
Nowwwwww onto Aegosexual. Aegosexual, also known as autochorissexual, is a term used to describe individuals on the asexual spectrum who feel disconnected from the subject of arousal. Although they may partake in such actions having to do with it. You can search up and learn more from other sources on the internet as well!
Next up is Autosexual, people are more attracted to themselves than to others. I'm giving basic descriptions on them and you can continue further research! Here's those flags!
Onto Cupiosexual. Cupiosexual are people who have a desire for sexual activity but do not experience sexual attraction
Swinging towards Demisexual, Demisexuals are  Individuals who only experience sexual attraction after forming a strong emotional connection.

Wowza! Almost didn't realize it was International Asexuality Day, but i threw together a quick doodle with some characters I hc to be on the Asexual spectrum to celebrate!!
I myself am somewhere on the Asexuality spectrum, so I dropped one of my persona's in the middle. (Yes all of my persona's have googley eyes slapped on)

Whenever i hear my friends talk about crushes or relationships i get really confused. Like, one of my friends was talking about how this guy (one he's hard-core pining for) called him "dear", and how happy(?) he was about it. And i'm just ???What???? Why is that good?? it just sounds really uncomfortable to me,,, Like i get platonic(?) crushes, i've had many of those, but i lack much understanding of romantic ones...

What is it called when you are sex repulsed but only when it comes to real life. Like my little guys on paper or the little guys on the screen having sex is ok because they donât exist and canât actually have sex
But even hinting at sex in real life is icky itâs gross. Itâs unwanted. Itâs bad
Can we just take a couple minutes to talk about how perfect Elijahâs story line is.
Elijah shows up in the story very close to the end and is âmarketedâ as missys boyfriend. He is used as character development for missy and the creators understand that. They even reference in the first episode that is an âElijahâ story. (Season 6, episode 8, asexual healing, 4 minutes in)
This episode is the first Elijah based episode and is one of my favourites from the whole show. Elijahâs whole character is so well put together and we really get to see that from this episode on.
In this episode Elijah figures out that he is asexual through his aunt after confiding in her that he doesnât feel sexual attraction toward missy.
He of course goes on to the internet to get more information and (suprinsingly) it helps him find out more with only a little bit of white supremacy.
That episode has multiple plots.
The A plot is meant to be Andrew going all the way to Vermont to see Bernie (I think) but you just forget about it because of how influential Elijahâs story is.
Some of my favourite points from that episode include:
Breaking the fourth wall
Elijahâs aunt
The absolute confusion of Elijah when his uncles talk about sexual shit.
The fact that the show explains how asexuality is a spectrum and how people who are asexual can enjoy masturbation.
- also love the convo that comes out when missy catches him and him explaining to her what it means and the difference for him.
The fact that Elijah is a catholic and asexual and itâs not even questioned
The butterflies
Honorable mention: the C plot of Jessi learning about gender roles
The fact that Elijah is a straight asexual man is so perfect. It really shows how asexuality can be both a sexuality in itself (like me :)) or a part of your sexuality (like Elijah)
In short, if youâre going to watch any episode of big mouth. This is THE BEAT ONE!!!
