Kurosawa accidentally finding out that Adachi has a praise kink and using it to his advantage.
Constantly complimenting him when he finished something at work by petting his head. Sliding his hand down to gently grip his nape as he lets Adachi know “How good” he’s beings for him.
Feeling pure exhilaration as he leaves Adachi a stuttering mess to go help a coworker.
Getting home late to find Adachi cleaning and calling him a “good boy” before giving his the deepest kiss he can before going to shower.
Sitting on the couch with his legs crossed and calling Adachi random names until he reacts in a certain way.
“Baby? Love? …Princess?”
Feeling like he won the lottery as he chases a visibly affected Adachi back into their room to use the new term in bed to make Adachi as embarrassed as he can because let’s be honest.
The man had a thing for humiliation.
Top ten bl couples- 2022 version.
(This may change as new dramas come out). In no particular order. These are just the ones that I enjoyed the most for various reasons. Posting this just because I have watched so many shows that I have lost count, but yet these are my absolute faves.
1. Adachi and Kurosawa. (Cherry Magic). Such a lovely story about respect and overcoming anxiety. They have such a sweet relationship and their story was really well paced. I want to see more of them.
2. Yoohan and Yeonwoo. (Color Rush). I loved their story and was so upset about season 2. They had such great chemistry and were literal soulmates.
3. Sarawat and Tine. (2gether). This was such a dorky but sweet romance story and season 2 only made it cuter. They had such great chemistry and I loved their interactions.
4. Mark and Ouwen. (Love is science). Even though they were a side couple I loved their story and the found family they created. They also had great chemistry and character development.
5. Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu. (Word of honor). Two messed up and traumatised people band together and accidentally created a family while causing chaos. Loved their dynamics.
6. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji. (The untamed). I have always loved these two from MDZS. They are such opposites but fit so perfectly.
7. Togawa and Nozue. (Old fashion Cupcake). I loved their banter and their relationship development. Their age gap was perfectly incorporated into the show. I wish the series was longer so we could see more but the few episodes were also amazingly well paced.
8. Arthit and Kongpob. (Sotus). They were one of my first dramas and I have had a soft spot for them ever since. Grumpy cat and smitten puppy is a perfect dynamic and I love it.
9. Jack and Zhao Zi. (History3: Trapped). Sunshine and sunshine protector with such a great storyline. Mercenary and a policeman with a surprising little amount of drama considering their backgrounds. They’re just so sweet and I love them so much.
10. Jang Jaeyoung and Chu Sangwoo. (Semantic Error). They had such great enemies to lovers plot and the height difference was adorable. They had me hooked by the first episode and their interactions are everything.
If you haven’t seen any of these shows then I high key recommend.
I was rewatching episode 7 with subs and it suddenly struck me how Adachi and Kurosawa both fell in love with the other basically for the same reason.
The parallel is simply beautiful: Kurosawa started to fall for Adachi when he was able to see beyond his perfect man image, and Adachi started to fall for Kurosawa when he was able to see beyond his mediocre man image.
What's even more beautiful? They reacted the exact same way.
Neither of them was expecting the other to see him for who he really is, but they both did, and this was the beginning.

Do yourselves a favor and watch Cherry Magic!!
Kurosawa: :D
Adachi: he’s the mf sun
Gay 30 year old business men 🌝🫶
Isn't it ironic, though? I can stand scenes of brutal rape and abuse like those in Non Zero Sum and Unchanged Man, but at the same time, I feel triggered by these scenes with normal characters' interactions like those in Cherry Magic? In other words, I can stand stories who are supposed to be not normal, but I can't go through stuffs which are supposed to be normal....I am okay with not normal stuffs and triggered by the normal ones.....
As of right now, if I had 3 wished, one of them would be for BL anime to be more mainstream so that studios would be more likely to dub them. I hate seeing really good-looking BL animes and finding out they won't be dubbed because BL isn't as marketable/has a smaller audience. I want a dub of Cherry Magic, and Dakaichi, and Doukyuusei, and so many other BLs.
I have a bunch of papers to write, but I chose to finish reading Tokyo Ghoul Re: and watched all of Cherry Magic! instead of working...

i loved this a lot more than i thought I would and the romance is so wholesome
Favourite lines/scenes from Cherry Magic drama.
Baz, everytime he sees Simon, be like:
Hey love, I did mine here but I need to ask about this "mjjw cherry magic au" because I'm sorry? but that sounds amazing and I need to know more! 😍😂
Oh god yeah my cursed amalgamation of AUs xd
So to any who don't know the (frankly god tier) drama "Cherry Magic", it's a Japanese drama about Adachi who turns 30 while still being a virgin, and magically is able to hear other people's thoughts upon hearing them. Adachi finds out pretty soon that his extremely hot, perfect and charismatic co-worker at his office has got an intense crush on him and after a series of mildly unfortunate events (reference not intended) he slowly ends up falling in love too. 10/10 Very great queer romance.
Anyway, so I kind of headcanon Moonjo as either on the ace spectrum or he is a person who just never really prioritized losing his virginity, not when he was passionate about other things and hadn't found his true masterpiece yet. In this AU, he turns 30 and gets magical ability, which have him a little confused at first, but he soon uses them to his own advantage.
Rather quickly he manipulates his co-workers and bosses by reading their thoughts, achieves what he wants to and ascends to higher positions in the office hierarchy. Not CEO, but he's now got a lot of power over people and the company's decisions.
So, its 5 years later. He's 35, and quite literally stumbles over the new hire, Jongwoo. Upon touching, Moonjo hears heaven's bells a-ringing (jk, he hears Jongwoo bitching about Moonjo walking into him, and he's intrigued). Jongwoo is pretty too, and after "some research" (stalking) he figures out Jongwoo is pretty talented and intelligent as well. And the pursuit continues, but Jongwoo evades him a lot. It's really annoying, bc he always puts too much space between them, and Moonjo can't use his ability to his advantage.
Usually it's not a problem bc people love being around him, handsome face and all. But not Jongwoo. And it makes Moonjo want him even more. He feels like Jongwoo is like him, honest and strong-minded, and that he wants to gain power over others.
So okay, several months later, as they both get off work close to midnight, Moonjo finally manages to do touch Jongwoo (the younger is pretty tired and out-of-it and nearly runs into the street before looking).
And he finds Jongwoo's thoughts to be an odd string of "God that bastard is so fucking handsome I want him to choke me but also I want to punch him in the face because he's so perfect all the time, and also what is it with him grinning all the time and his stupidly pretty eyes, god i HATE HIM"
Also Jieun is his girlfriend but with the same rocky stance, maybe even a little on-and-off. Haven't figured out how to throw in the rest of the characters, but Jaeho is propably Jongwoo's superior who dunks workload on him and Moonjo gets mad about it at some point and politely confronts Jaeho about it. Seokyoon is definitely our sweet over-energetic puppy Rokkaku who's cockblocking Mjjw
AHH sorry for rambling lmao but I have a lot of ~Feelings~ about Cherry Magic and Moonjo and Jongwoo <33
Rules: Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it. Then tag some people for a no-obligation mutual wailing/cheering/complaining session!
With much pleasure, and due to @sofarraway tagging me, I'll give you all a look at my wip folder~
It's not much but it's honest work i guess??? Most of my stuff is published, or I've deleted it ( for my old old writing docs). I'm also surprised how many of my ideas have titles but not much else written down lmao. Also not all of this is fanfiction, but most of it is indeed mjjw (8 of them wow)
Anyways, i'll tag @chhagiya and @bobafvcks <33 in good fun
a short list of foreign queer media to watch:
- Cherry Magic (drama, 2020, Japan)
An incredibly sweet office rom com with magical elements. Cherry Magic deals with the awkward, introverted Adashi who discovers upon his 30th birthday that he can hear other people's thoughts when he touches them. And surprise surprise, Kurosawa, aka his seemingly perfect but secretly insecure and hopelessly romantic co-worker, has been in love with him for the past 7 years.
Also, there will be a movie about their relationship released in April.
- The Handmaiden (movie, 2016, Korea)
A talented thief, Okju and a conman attempt to defraud the rich Japanese Lady Hideko by sending her to a mental hospital and taking her money. It goes well at first, but upon spending more time with her, the thief falls in love with her. But suddenly, Okju is put in the mental hospital, finding herself betrayed by those who she trusted. Or is that really what's happening? Overall, a wonderful wlw thriller with SO MANY plot twists and a lot of erotic scenes.
- Young Royals (drama, 2020, Sweden)
A modern day Cinderella-esque queer love story between Swedish prince Willhelm and Swedish-Spanish boy Simon, who comes from a "normal" family. Willhelm is forced to attend a prestigious boarding school after ending up in a scandal, where he meets Simon and falls in love at first sight. While the story itself is quite cliché, it's sweet and a relatively realistic depiction of young people and figuring out your sexuality while being young.
- Elisa y Marcela (movie, 2019, Spain)
A black and white movie based on true events about two women falling in love in 1901 Spain. They run away together and attempt to trick their neighbors and families into being a heterosexual couple with a baby on the way. However, it's not long before their real identities are discovered and they end up being put into jail, before finally running away to South America. Bittersweet but incredibly visually appealing.
- My Love Mix Up (drama, 2021, Japan)
Highschooler Aoki has a crush on Hashimoto, agirl in his class, but thinks that she's crushing on another guy. It takes about 5 minutes and a dumb misunderstanding until Aoki protects the girl and confesses to the guy, Ida, that it's him who's got a crush on him, not Hashimoto. Ida is awfully understanding and tells Aoki he doesn't share his feelings but is willing to try to get to know him better. What ensues is probably the sweetest, healthiest discovery of queerness - leading to a relationship between Aoki and Ida after all misunderstandings have been cleared up.
