Anyone else listen to “see I’m smiling” and think of civil war-stony?
Specifically in which Steve had feelings for Bucky in the 40’s but when he woke up from the ice he fell in love with Tony? Even though he still had feelings for Bucky and always would in some way? But then Bucky comes back and he runs off to rescue him, because he can’t move on from the past and it manifests in him desperately needing to save his first love? And Tony’s totally okay with that at first, but it puts a strain on their relationship. After everything, they finally meet up again and Tony just wants to fix things and Steve does to but he’s so blindsided and emotionally invested in helping Bucky that he can’t take the steps to mend his and Tony’s relationship. Which is proven when he has to leave for a Bucky related reason mid way through Tony’s b-day date. Tony tries being understanding but he’s so tired of being placed below Bucky and so tired of Steve (unintentionally or not) being an ass to him that he lashes out?

The world is in the shitter, we are staring down a civil war and fascist regime and it ain’t looking good for the trans and gay community right now.
But I will say it’s not all bad and there is hope as long as one person still breaths and is holding a gun. And going by what I’ve seen from the old united front types there are plenty willing to lug a rifle and do their part for the freedom and liberty.
Stay safe and be ready to act accordingly when things get worse.

I love and hate civil war both with a passion.
I mean it's so important to stony within the MCU, without it we'd never have the 'here is my heart' metaphor, when Tony gives it to Steve, we'd never have longing gazes in Endgame, the pain between them, overshadowed by the yearning that you can just feel, the 'you trust me? I do', so I love it, I do. I love the divorce for them, somehow it makes sense that those two would break apart, because that's just who they are. They love each other, but the world comes first, and they love each other but it's complicated, and in the end they will love each other.
I still hate Civil War, too though, because it is also so important to their core relationship. And it broke my heart. I feel like, while in this timeline it wasn't, it could have been prevented.
But it doesn't matter, because they love each other anyway, in whatever way all their shared, complicated history allows them to. As much as they allow each other to, respectively.

I love how Starker were obsessed with each other before they even met in person.
So, hear me out:
Let’s start with Peter. It’s already been confirmed that he’s the kid Tony saved in Iron Man 2 (this is further reinforced in Deadpool & Wolverine, where, in the scene with Happy and Deadpool in Happy’s office, we see the same photo of Peter and Tony that Tony had in Endgame but Peter’s face is covered by the helmet that the kid in Iron Man 2 was wearing, the helmet hides that part of the photo, so it's even more obvious this fact-)
So, knowing that Peter is the kid from Iron Man 2, we can say he admired Tony from a very young age, an Iron Man fanboy through and through. His admiration is evident throughout the movies.
And if we consider something outside the movies, in the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man, Season 1, Episode 5 ("Flight of the Iron Spider"), it's implicitly stated that Peter has a "man crush" on Tony. This episode showcases even more of Peter’s admiration and knowledge of Tony <3
So, for Peter, Iron Man isn’t just a hero or a role model- he’s his damn celebrity crush.
Now, let’s move on to Tony.
Tony didn’t just randomly show up at Peter’s apartment in Civil War. No, he had already planned to do so (maybe not at that moment but the moment required it). He had a suit ready for him. And (important detail) the moment he talked to Natasha about needing backup, Peter was immediately on his mind. It was his time to meet him, the perfect recruit.
So, I can only imagine Tony one day randomly discovering Spider-Man’s videos and his heroic feats and becoming completely fascinated.
His powers. His abilities.
"Wow! Nice catch. 3,000 pounds, 40 miles an hour—it's not easy."
His moves. Everything about him, his persona.
I mean, yes, Tony had a damn Norse god, Hulk, a super-spy, a 100-year-old supersoldier, an insanely skilled archer, and a literal chaos witch on his team. But no. No. Peter was something else, Spiderman was something else.
Tony Freaking Stark spent hours and hours designing a suit for a person he had never met and didn’t even know would want to be on the team.
But come on. He’s Tony Stark. He gets what he wants.
And, honestly, who wouldn’t want to be an Avenger?
They’re the Avengers, man!
Tony spent hours in his workshop designing and perfecting the Spider-Man suit, nearly putting it on par with the Iron Man armor. Obsessed.
(Also, he hated that "onesie" Peter wore. Hehe.)
And if we want to go dirtier with this… Considering Tony’s resources and how easily he could dig up information on someone, itnwouldn’t be surprised if he found out Peter was a fanboy. Maybe from some old internet post, a search history, or something like that. And you know that would only boost his ego and make him even more confident that Peter would say yes.
And back to talking about the devil… Natasha, The knowing glances that Tony and Natasha exchanged when in "Civil War" they were considering their options... In my "delulu mind" by the glaces they gave each other, Natasha knew, she definitely knew about Peter since before
So Tony and Natasha were definitely close, not as much as Natasha and Steve, but still. So I can totally imagine Tony finding out about Peter and telling Natasha about him, all excited, explaining how he’d be a great addition to the team.
And then… they meet.
And Tony’s obsession with keeping Peter safe begins.
To Tony, Peter was fragile, someone he couldn’t afford to lose (cof cof Infinity War cof cof 😭😭😭).
And Peter? He became obsessed with proving himself, proving that he was "good enough", that he belonged in this world, in this job, in his life. That Tony didn’t need to treat him like he was made of glass.
God, they make me sick.
Now imagine their mutual obsession once they realize they’re in love. And eventually start a relationship.
Oh god- that makes me even sicker

The Monsters They Made Us series.
Good news everyone. I’ve finally set up my DVD player, so I can start working on the third part of the series - called Save Yourself, I’ll Hold Them Back. If all goes to plan, I should hopefully have it finished in the next few weeks, have it typed up, and then have it up by about July. I know I promised this month in The Ghost of You, but things have been a bit hectic.
There will be 12 chapters... At least, that’s what I’ve planned. I have it written down in my notebook, with what will happen in each chapter, and the names of said chapters. I’ll update with progress if you want - like when chapters are finished, when I’ve typed/edited them, if you want. Some of the chapters are made up (most of C1, C7, and C10, while all of C2 and C8 are completely made up).
Part 4 of the series - currently named A Love Like War, but that may change - will take a little longer to come out. It really depends on how Endgame plays out, and where my characters go. I have a plan for the end of Part 4, but like I said, just depends on Endgame.
Just thought I’d give you guys and girls an update on the series, and just let other people know that I will be continuing with My Love For You, just got a bit of writers block for it.

Captain America's arc to civil war:
First Avenger: Is told he could do some good, gets entirely let down by private corporations then finds a family and a purpose inside a war
Avengers: is left without a purpose again and finds one as a hero, suspicious of shield and proved justified
Winter soldier: openly admits he doesn't know who he is without Captain America which is implied to be the reason he stayed with Shield, sees the damage a government run agency can have and no longer trusts them (it may have been Hydra who tried to pull the trigger but it was Shield that built the bomb) and he regains the one friend who truly knows him whilst strengthening and establishing friendships with two people who can be described as rogues when it comes to following rules (as shown by the fact that they follow him)
Age of Ultron: his friends mess up by using their massive resources to create a supervillain and the world turns against heroes because of course they do but he sees the potential and stays to train new recruits (it's a Joss Whedon, there ain't really a lot to go off for anyone who ain't Tony Stark, if anything it's like a regress for his character back to Avengers which is then ignored by civil war but you know)
Civil War: the government who he no longer trusts at all, want to have more control over superheroes even though they have proven themselves incapable of not trying to control people and take away their free will and agency (something the Marvel movies are consistently fighting against as the big bad) and they want to lock up his best friend who was traumatised and used and abused (Bucky may have caused many awful events but he is not responsible for them and he is just as much a victim as T'Challa's father and Tony's parents, he had his life stolen from him and suffered for decades), Steve's other friend decides to go fully against him because his friend messed up so feels guilty for his actions and, in this movie especially, ascribes blame to the wrong things, so he is forced to fight his friend for the right to have control over his own life because he is willing to take responsibility for any damage he has caused but he hasn't caused any and has actively tried to stop and he is not letting Bucky suffer for something he wasn't responsible for
Essentially Steve's stance in Civil War is f the government they don't get to control me and f you for blaming Bucky for this
Iron Man's Character arc to Civil War:
Iron Man: oh my gods war sucks, I am an awful person and I need to fix this
Iron Man 2: a bad person makes weapons based off his meant to hurt people meanwhile the army uses his designs to create a hero in war machine, he sees the positives of a government controlled agency creating superheroes whilst only seeing the negatives of an independent person creating powerful technology
Avengers: clashes with Steve who only knows war from its good side (Tony sees the military as okay but war is still despicable), and doesn't really have a character arc, I mean he proves he is a hero but his character doesn't change he just shows it, in this movie, he had already proved it in both Iron Man and Iron Man 2
Iron Man 3: he sees the negatives of private companies having access to such technology, again
Age of Ultron: he is personally responsible for creating a world destroying supervillain due to his flawed reasoning and that villains henchmen are people who have been directly hurt by Stark industries
Civil War: he has lost complete faith in his ability to be a hero essentially, he thinks he needs oversight so when the government asks him to accept oversight, he willing does and when eh finds out Bucky is the one who killed his parents, he blows a gasket, rather than seeing Bucky as another victim, he only recognises Bucky as a soldier as someone just like all the villains he has already faced, someone who is responsible for their own actions and should be held accountable, he blames Bucky for his parents death rather than Hydra just as he blames Falcon for what happens to Rhodey even though it was Tony Stark's own weaponry and own shot that paralysed him, he can't take responsibility and he can't see the larger picture
Essentially, Tony Stark sides with the government and against Bucky because he personally does not trust himself and cannot trust others because all he is seen is how that trust leads to harm, whilst the government has been a benign presence along his journey
Tony Stark and Steve fundamentally disagree because of their life experiences but the thing is, Tony Stark is in the wrong
Throughout all of Marvel's movies, it is the villains who look to control others, it is the villains who push for more oversight, and it is the heroes who fight for freedom and agency (except in the Iron Man movies) so his stance puts him on the same side as villain, he is not villainous because he wants more oversight rather than outright control but he is no longer on the side of freedom and that matters for a Marvel movie
Then you have the fact that it is Captain America's movie so Cap is the hero of this story making Iron Man the antagonist, it is from his side that people defect (Natasha's entire arc up until this point has been trying to clear her ledger and this is the movie where she realises the government ain't the way to do it), he is the one who actually injures a person and he is the one who recruits a literal child to his cause (people like to gloss this over because by infinity war he has realised how messed up that it is and wants to protect Spiderman from the responsibility of being a hero but he is the one who dragged him into this battle) and he loses the fight with Cap whilst losing his friends because the government decided to lock them up in cages for being heroes
In this movie, Iron Man is the antagonist, one whose decisions and position make sense, when looking at his character arc over the series, but one who is still on the wrong side of this fight, his character is still flawed, even when he died, and it is glaringly obvious in a way that makes his character well written
Because yes heroes should have more oversight and be held responsible but it wasn't Captain America who had betrayed the people's trust and it isn't Bucky who was responsible for the murder of so many, Iron Man is on the wrong side because he is siding with the people who want to try the innocent, rather than taking responsibility for his own actions and fighting actual bad guys
Sharon Carter
Hello! As you may have guessed, this post will be about Sharon Carter and my opinion on her.
For the first, I want one thing to be clue - I like her. Really! She is a strong female character, an agent (which is supercool), she is propably really good at her work and she is a loyal friend. But here we go:
I don’t like her and Steve Rogers’ kiss. Nonono, listen here; I’m not angry at her, or on a Steve, I’m angry at that kiss itself. An that’s because:
I tought she is for Steve something like Natasha. A strong and loyal female friend who will punch in the face people you don’t like and she’s still here when you need to talk about things (no matter if they are crazy or serious, she will be there and help you if she can). But still - just as friends! (that’s not #friendzone , I just like to ship #stucky ). Which is I think wonderful status for character, so... Why didn’t MARVEL just let her stay that way?
Steve has a love interest! In cannon, he is with Peggy, and their love is presented as the most romantical ship (they are still in love for each other for more that 70 years being separated, if that isn’t romantical, then I don’t know what is), but in spite of that, Steve kissed another girl like... 5 minutes after his first love’s funeral?! That’s not romantic at all!!! (and also it’s not very respectfull for Peggy) 😡😤😟
She is his niece! Yeah, i know that technically she doesn’t have his DNA or something, but still... I’s weird as hell!
It makes her just another sexualized object in the movie (and social media too)! I think that it’s brutally unfair for Sharon, who is also really good agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and loyal hardworking friend and employee, to be seen like ,,villain” or ,,that girl who wants to ruin our beautiful ship (stucky).” I mean - instead of to be seen as ,,a girl who in Civil War helped to Captain America and his friends” (which will be super-feministic because girl hepled to the boys out of trouble, which is exactly that how feminism works), she is seen just as a ,,girl who in Civil War kissed Captain America.” And not just in the MARVEL, but also in eyes of fans. And that’s may the saddest thing here.
Why? Why she even kissed him? And if that just must happend, why it was meant as a romantical kiss? Really there isn’t any other way how to thank to the woman in movie than kiss? No really, I think that hug will be more than enough (and also cuter), and nobody would prostest, because that movie will without that kiss work still as good as with it. It’s important scene and we don’t need that to happen to understand some future situations. So again - WHY?!?
So, here it is. Ufff, I just needed to write that out. My view is that:
I like Sharon Carter. But not as Steve Rogers’ girlfriend.
