I painted Roz and her son Brightbill from “The Wild Robot” which is one of my comfort movies now. I watched it for the first time a few weeks ago once it became available on streaming. I saw the trailer while the movie was in the theatres and knew “yes I will love this” because I adore movies about robots learning to feel and it looked awesome. It was, the animation is beautiful and the story is very heart touching and I probably cried three times?? I love it so much. I’m adopting Roz as my daughter just like I’ve adopted Wall-e as my son.
So I had to make some kind of fanart and I really wanted something Wild Robot themed in my room so I made a painting.
My piece for the @dpxdc-worldscollide zine!
This was thee most challenging piece I've worked on for the year (2024) but it was worth it! This was my first time participating in a fandom zine and I'm excited to be a part of it!

2 hours of work ✨✨ Getting back into these little sketchbook paintings.
I got some new watercolour paper and decided to make some 'for fun' art. It was just supposed to be watercolour, but I messed up on the shading for her face, so I slapped on some acrylics!
I thought that the space behind her was too empty, so I filled it in with as much of Pslam 91 that I could fit.
Not my best work, but illuminating experiment! I missed drawing for no reason other than I want to!
Original watercolour painting, to get me back in the mood for making things again.

I have time for traditional art in TAFE today because I tear through work like a rabit mongoose. I also felt like attempting some vorts today.
Actual work will come later today. But for now - some vortigaunts to tie you over.
Its 3 am. You walk into your kitchen to get a glass of water. You see this celestial nebulous in humanoid form hunched over your fridge, reaching for the last can of your favourite soda. They don't move, instead frozen in the act of being caught. What do you do next?
The first traditional watercolour I've done in a very long time, and probably the best one I've done since that really good rooster I did when I was 4.
Watercolour painting of Duck
Did a little thing of a jab unit on an alien planet. Not part of the story probably but just messin around.

Gr11 watercolour painting assignment. Painted a great blue heron I pictured in the pond near my house.
Painted the background first, but had to lift a lot of the colour because it was too vibrant before.
I used masking tape to mask out the spots of the foreground plants, but it bled a lot and I didn't save as much of the white space as I should've.
Second image is watercolour practice I did beforehand. Used some of the tips from a watercolour art book I'd been gifted

I remember having a really hard time with just about every aspect of this piece. Getting the proportions of the buildings down was terrible, as was designing them. And then painting it was just a trainwreck.
Inspired by Devil town by Cavetown iirc
Watercolour and pen on watercolour paper
March 7, 2020 - December 21, 2021
A community center in my town lets people under 18 showcase their art for free in their halls. I took a stab at applying and was accepted.
The exhibit wasn't supposed to last as long as it did, but covid lockdowns hit shortly after we installed everything and the persistent lockdowns kept on pushing back the pickup date. This means next to no one saw any of the art, but I was fine with that. I kept on getting really worried abt ppl destroying the art.
Wait! I'm Camouflaging Right Now!

Don't remember what the prompt was for this gr9 assignment. Whatever it was, I used it as an opportunity to make an illustration of my angel oc thingy.
Supposed to look like it's stained glass. Definitely like the concept/some of the sketches more than the final piece, but it's cool
