I got watercolours for Christmas ayoooo
They’re so good broooo😭🤌
It’s been so long since I’ve used watercolours lmao it’s crazy, I didn’t think I would have this much fun tbh
I got some new watercolour paper and decided to make some 'for fun' art. It was just supposed to be watercolour, but I messed up on the shading for her face, so I slapped on some acrylics!
I thought that the space behind her was too empty, so I filled it in with as much of Pslam 91 that I could fit.
Not my best work, but illuminating experiment! I missed drawing for no reason other than I want to!

My second time using water colours so I'm quite happy with it. I've not given him eye lashes tho so 🤣
I attended the opening of John Short's exhibition 'Horizons' at Solomon Fine Art, Balfe Street, Dublin 2 tonight. The venue was packed.
I enjoyed viewing John's loose and spontaneous paintwork. He painted his paintings with watercolours and ink while including collage in some of them. My favourite paintings were wide and panoramic.
He had included four large ceramic pieces in his exhition. It was nice to see that he was trying a new medium to work in.

My favourite artworks in John's exhibition. His exhibition will run until Sat 24th May 2025.
I attended the opening of Margaret Corcoran's exhibition 'Goddesses and Icons' at the Kevin kavanagh Gallery, Chancery Lane, Dublin 8. The Venue was packed and the atmosphere was relaxed. There was lots of lovely portraits mainly painted in watercolors. My favorite paintings were 'Blossoming', 'Artemis' and 'Athena'. 'Blossoming' featured a statue standing in a cornucopia of blossoms done in oil on linen. 'Artemus' and 'Athena' were portraits created with water-based oil on canvas. Margaret's exhibition will run until the 20th May 2023.
Classy.
Since people are drawing them this month, I decided to join in. Obviously not drawing one every day, but I wanted to have at least one. I hope you like it. :3

Little watercolour portrait I did at my uni's art club watercolour workshop. Went w my roomie and just chilled.
Chose a warm colour palette just to make things easy, dk waht compelled me to do a portrait. I like how it ended up tho >:J
Also I brought my own watercolours and brushes because it just makes things easier, but I let others in our little circle use them and one of them was using them as you would acrylics I was mortified ☠️
Watercolours on watercolour paper
July 25, 2023 - July 26, 2023
Painting of all my bab guys I did during a cottage trip. Wanted them all in one cohesive piece, so I thought up the spiral composition so it wouldn't look ass.
I had so much fun making this (really pumped this out like it was nothing 😲) and I love love love how the final ink turned out. UGHHH I still wish i'd saved colouring it until after the cottage trip so I could have scanned it beforehand. It's not as bad as when I first painted it, but, idk, the non-coloured version just has this chef's kiss muah to it.
Microns and watercolour on watercolour paper
Tried to mix acrylic markers with watercolours. It was fun !! :3
To be honest, I haven't touched paints in YEARS because I hated the feeling of the dried paint on my hands & the need to change water over and over again. I was constantly afraid to mess up the painting. It felt draining for my ADHD ass *-*
I'm glad that I learned to simply create! :)
More old art I saved from my now deleted insta. Still love this one.
